Solar Cockroach

2V Solar Cell
Vibrating Motor
2 Big Paper Clips
2 Googly Eyes
6 inches of
Magnet Wire
Solder
Soldering Iron
Hot Glue Gun
Wire Cutters
SOLDER YOUR MOTOR to THE SOLAR PANEL

Peel off the adhesive backing from the motor. Align the wires from the motor with the leads
on the solar cell and stick the motor on to the cell. Solder the wires to leads.
Make sure to warm up your Soldering Iron and Glue Gun before you start.

Cut paper clips as shown in the diagram. Bend the U-shapes outward before attaching the legs. Put
a blob of hot glue on the bottom of the solar cell to attach the legs. Hold the legs in place while the
glue cools and hardens.
Fold your magnet wire in half and place it in the middle front of your solar cell, apply glue. For the
eyes place a drop of glue next to the antenna and smear towards the front to attach a googly eye.
Repeat this step for the second googly eye.
