GENERAL OPERATION04
The ideal positioning of the microphone and
distance to the user may be influenced by several
factors including room acoustics, vocal perfor-
mance, the user’s tone etc.
It is suggested that the microphone be directly
placed 15 cm (6") away in front of the lead singer.
● Microphone placement
● Positioning the microphone for users
15cm (6”)
The microphone has already been set in an ideal
internal gain mode, so there is no need for horizon-
tal adjustments. Necessary horizontal adjustments
can be made from your recording program, or via
your computer’s system preferences. (To adjust
your input level in your recording software, please
refer to the manual provided by the software devel-
oper.)
● Setting your input level
Moving closer will make a more intimate and full
sound, while moving further will contribute to a
sound with room echo effect and avoid increased
bass or low frequency response resulting from a too
close sound source.
Testing should be conducted from the angle at
which microphone is pointing, as different results
can be obtained when the vocalist is ‘offaxis’ to the
microphone.
