Produktbeschreibung
Der Sport-Thieme Prallschutz „Vario“ ist ein sicherer, flexibler und leichter Rundumschutz zum direkten Ankleben an Wände,
Ecken und Säulen.
Verwendungszweck:
Dieses Produkt ist nur für den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch zu verwenden. Missbrauch jeglicher Art führt zur
Beeinträchtigung der Sicherheit und zum Verlust der Gewährleistung!

Hinweise
Das Produkt ist mit einem feuchten Tuch abwaschbar.
Achtung!
•Den Artikel nicht überlasten oder beklettern!
•Der Kontakt mit Chemikalien, insbesondere Säuren, ist unbedingt zu vermeiden!
•Scharfe Kanten können die Oberfläche beschädigen!
•Nur für den Innenbereich geeignet!

Montage
1. Vorbereitung des Untergrundes
•Der Untergrund benötigt keine spezielle Vorbereitung. Er sollte jedoch konventionell präpariert also ggfs. abgespachtelt,
eben und fest sein.
Hinweis: Bevor Sie den Prallschutz montieren, sollten Sie die Wand/Decke prüfen, an der er befestigt werden soll. Es sollte
eine dem Einsatz entsprechende Wand/Decke sein, die ggfs. tragend ist (Vollziegel, Kalksandstein, Stahlbeton oder
Holzbalken).
2. Verarbeitung
•Der Klebstoff wird mittels Handroller (Schaumstoffrolle) oder Pinsel auf Matten- und Wandoberfläche gleichmäßig und
möglichst dünn aufgetragen.
•Nachdem der Klebstofffilm fingertrocken ist (Ablüftzeit 20 - 40 min.), erfolgt die Klebung durch kräftigen
Kontaktpressdruck.
•Die Trockenzeit ist abhängig von der Saugfähigkeit des Untergrundes, der Auftragsstärke des Klebstoffes, der
Raumtemperatur und der relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit.
Anbringung Foeldeak® PrallschutzFlex an Säulen, Wandvorsprüngen, Rundungen und
sonstigen baulichen Besonderheiten:
•Durch die besonderen Materialeigenschaften unterschiedlich harter PE-Schäume ist der Sport-Thieme
Prallschutz „Vario“ äußerst flexibel und kann vielseitig eingesetzt werden. Ob Wandvorsprünge, Ecken, Säulen
oder Gewölbe - der Foeldeak®Prallschutz Flex lässt sich an jede bauliche Gegebenheit anpassen.
•Beispiel Säule: Um eine Säule mit unserem Prallschutz „Vario“ zu kaschieren, muss die Matte den Maßen der
Säule entsprechend eingeschnitten werden. Um die Matte an den Ecken der Säule anlegen und im 90°-Winkel
abknicken zu können, empfiehlt es sich eine V-Nut einzuschneiden.

•Die V-Nut wird idealerweise mithilfe einer Kreissäge in zwei Schritten mit jeweils auf 45°gekipptem Sägeblatt
eingeschnitten. Es empfiehlt sich ein feines Sägeblatt und eine Führungsschiene.
•Die identische Vorgehensweise kann auch bei Ecken und Kanten angewendet werden. Das Material ist
äußerst flexibel und kann auch an Rundsäulen oder Rundbögen eingesetzt werden.
Für die Montage des Sport-Thieme Prallschutzes „Vario“ empfehlen wir Ihnen die Verwendung eines handelsüblichen
Neopren-Kontaktklebers (z.B. Nibopren N 750).
Wartungshinweise und Pflege / Zusatzinformationen
Hinweise zur regelmäßigen Kontrolle:
•Führen Sie in regelmäßigen Abständen eine Sichtprüfung durch.
•Aufgrund unserer kontinuierlichen Qualitätsprüfung der Produkte können sich technische Änderungen
ergeben, die zu geringfügigen Abweichungen in der Anleitung führen.
•Prüfen Sie den Artikel auf eventuelle Beschädigungen und tauschen Sie verschlissene Teile aus.
•Überprüfen Sie den Zustand der Elemente, denn durch die Nutzung können Gebrauchsspuren entstehen.

Product description
The Sport-Thieme impact protection "Vario" is a safe, flexible and lightweight all-round protection for direct sticking to walls,
corners and columns.
Intended use:
This product must only be used for its intended purpose. Misuse of any kind will compromise safety and render the warranty
void!

Notes
The product is washable with a damp cloth.
Caution!
•Do not overload or climb on this product.
•Contact with chemicals, especially acids, must be avoided at all costs!
•Sharp edges can damage the surface.

1. Preparation:
•The surface to be glued must be clean and dry in order to achieve high adhesive power.
Note: Before installing the impact protection, you should check the wall to which it is to be attached. It should be
a wall that is suitable for the application and, if necessary, load-bearing (solid brick, sand-lime brick, reinforced
concrete or wooden beams).
2. Processing:
•The adhesive must be applied evenly and as thin as possible (see consumption) by means of a hand roller
(foam roller) or a brush onto the mat and the wall surface.
•As soon as the adhesive film is dry to the touch (ventilating time 20-40 min), bonding is performed by means
of forceful contact pressure.
•The drying time depends on the absorptivity of the background, the coating thickness of the adhesive, room
temperature and relative humidity.
Attachment of Sport-Thieme Impact Protector “Vario” to columns, wall projections, round edges and other
building particularities:
•Due to the special material characteristics of PE foams of different hardnesses, the Sport-Thieme Impect
Protector “Vario” is extremely flexible and can be used in miscellaneous applications. Whether wall
projections, corners, columns or arches – the elements can be adapted to every building condition.
•Example column: In order to cover a column with our flexible bounce protection, the mat must be carved
according to the dimensions of the column. To attach the mat to the column edges and to bend it in a 90
°angle we recommend cutting a V groove.

•Ideally, this V groove is cut by means of a buzz saw in two steps with the saw blade inclined to 45 °. We
recommend using a fine saw blade and a guide rail. (Given exact dimensions, the mat elements can be
prepared accordingly in our production.)
•The identical procedure can also be applied for edges and corners. The material is extremely flexible and can
also be used for round columns or round arches.
•For mounting the Sport-Thieme impact protection “Vario” we recommend use of commercially available
neoprene contact adhesives (e.g. Nibopren N 750).
Maintenance and care / additional information
Information regarding regular inspection:
•Perform a visual inspection at regular intervals.
•Due to our continuous quality control of the products, technical changes may occur which may lead to minor changes to
the instructions.
•Check the product for any damage and replace worn parts.
•Check the condition of the elements, as use may cause wear.
