INSTALLAZIONE
La forcella va normalmente appesa a tralicci o tubi di
diametro 50 mm.
Il tubo dovrà essere sufficientemente robusto da
sopportare il peso della forcella(e) e sufficientemente
rigido per evitare oscillazioni durante l’uso che
riducono la precisione del puntamento e disturbano il
posizionamente di altri apparecchi già puntati.
Se si preferisce installare la forcella a pavimento invece
di appenderla, si può farlo usando l’apposita base
opzionale.
La forcella è prevista per il funzionamento in posizione
verticale (sia appesa a tubi orizzontali, sia posizionata a
pavimento).
Non installare in posizioni diverse per evitare di
sovraccaricare i motori e i cuscinetti a sfera.
Anche se i motori sono protetti da un sistema di frizione
e di interruzione elettronica nel caso di urto accidentale
della forcella contro un ostacolo, è importante prevedere
spazio sufficiente attorno all’apparecchio.
Ricordarsi di collegare anche la fune di sicurezza, se
richiesto dalle norme di sicurezza locali.
MONTAGGIO DEL VIDEOPROIETTORE SULLA
FORCELLA.
La forcella è munita di una piastra rettangolare avvitata
sulla sezione mobile della forcella stessa che può essere
asportata facilmente. Il video proiettore deve essere
fissato a questa piastra.
Normalmente questo può essere fatto come segue:
• Svitarelapiastradallaforcella.
• Rimuovere i tre piedini regolabili dal fondo del
proiettore.
• Collocareilvideoproiettoresullapiastracomedeve
esseremontatosuccessivamente.
• Quandosistabiliscelaposizionedelvideoproiettore
sulla piastra, se i connettori del videoproiettore
sono su un  lato del faro, non dimenticarsi di
lasciarespaziosufcienteperilloroinserimento.
• Segnaresulla piastra laposizione dei trefori dei
piediniasportatio,seesistono,dialtriforilettati
dissaggio.
• Forarelapiastraincorrispondenzadiquestipunti;
i fori dovranno essere all’incirca dello stesso
diametrodiquellisulvideoproiettore.

INDICAZIONI GENERALI
ARC System ( Automated Remote Control system) è
un insieme di forcelle motorizzate per il controllo a
distanza di fari PC e Fresnel, video proiettori ed altri
apparecchi similari.
Arc Video è la versione studiata per il controllo a
distanza di video proiettori.
I parametri standard che possono essere controllati sono:
• Movimentoorizzontale(X)(pan) superiore a 370°
• Movimentoverticale(Y)(tilt) fino a 270°
Tutte queste funzioni sono comandate da un segnale
digitale DMX512.
Grazie alla sua silenziosità ed accuratezza, Arc può
essere installato sia in palcoscenico che in sala e può
funzionare anche durante gli spettacoli senza disturbare
il pubblico.

• Fissare nuovamente la piastra rettangolare con il
videoproiettorenella sua posizione originalesulla
forcella,avvitandoaccuratamentelequattroviti.
• In caso di dubbi che le tre viti di ssaggio del
videoproiettorenondianounragionevolegradodi
sicurezza,sipuòusareunacinghiadissaggioche
tengaunitoilvideoproiettoreallapiastradallato
frontalealretro.
• Inne se sul vostro videoproiettore non sono
previstevitidissaggio,sarànecessariousaredue
cinghie,unacomeprecedentementedescrittoela
seconda che ssa il videoproiettore lungo la sua
sezionetrasversale.
• Nondimenticarsidicontrollareperiodicamenteche
levitielacinghiamontatesianobenstrette.
CONNESSIONI ELETTRICHE
L’apparecchio è previsto per uso all’interno; dovrà
pertanto essere protetto da umidità e pioggia se usato
in condizioni diverse.
Verificare che il voltaggio dell’apparecchio corrisponda
al voltaggio di rete.
Verificare sempre l’efficienza del collegamento a terra
della linea in uso.
ALIMENTAZIONE
Sono previste due alimentazioni elettriche indipendenti
sulla scatola superiore fissa.
- alimentazione video proiettore②:
230V50/60Hz10A. Non è previsto sull’apparecchio
per questa alimentazione alcun fusibile che dovrà
quindi essere installato sulla linea in base alle
specifiche locali. Questo cavo corre all’interno della
forcella e giunge vicino al videoproiettore con un
connettore IEC ⑪.
- alimentazione dei motori e delle schede
elettroniche ①:
230V50/60Hz6Amax: con connettore IEC e
protezione con fusibile da 2 Amps: NON dimmerabile.
CONTROLLO:
•Sullascatolasuperioressa:
- 1 connettore a 5 poli XLR maschio ⑧ per l’ingresso
del segnale DMX 512 per il controllo dei parametri
della forcella (Dmxin)
- 1 connettore a 5 poli XLR femmina ⑨per la
trasmissione del segnale DMX 512 alla forcella
successiva (Dmxout)
- 1 connettore a vaschetta D 15 poli alta densità per
segnale SVGA che dall’alto ⑦scende all’interno
della forcella fino a lato del proiettore ⑫.
CONNESSIONE ELETTRICA E MANUTENZIONE DEL
VIDEOPROIETTORE
Fare riferimento al manuale d’uso del videoproiettore.
ATTENZIONE: Gli apparecchi devono essere
sempre collegati a terra
ATTENZIONE:
Per motivi di sicurezza, scollegare sempre
l'apparecchio dalla rete di alimentazione
prima delle operazioni di manutenzione.

LIMITE DEL MOVIMENTO TILT
(MENU DISPLAY: YL##)
Tecnicamente la forcella è stata studiata per il
movimento verticale di circa 270 gradi. E’ possibile però
limitare il movimento del proiettore sia per evitare il
rovesciamento della proiezione che per qualsiasi altra
ragione.
Pertanto, in questo caso, si limita dalla tastiera del
display la corsa del tilt per evitare il verificarsi di
posizioni di lavoro non autorizzate, cambiando il valore
del parametro Yl##.
Si dovrà seguire una procedura similare, ma per il
parametro Yh##, per evitare un problema analogo
quando si usa la forcella appoggiata a pavimento.
Naturalmente, il cliente può cambiare direttamente
i parametri suddetti con grande facilità in qualsiasi
momento.

SET UP - MODULODISPLAYETASTI
I controlli Display-Tastiera permettono di leggere e
modificare le funzioni della forcella per mezzo di 4
tasti: Up, Down, Menu, Store. Le funzioni sono:

- Premere Menu per selezionare la funzione richiesta
- Premere Up o Down per modificare il valore .
- Premere Store due volte per registrare in modo
permanente il valore selezionato.
- Premendo il tasto una sola volta, il nuovo valore non
sarà registrato.
- Con questa procedura, si possono modificare tutte le
funzioni, con l’eccezione di Mode(Com/Test).
- Quando sul LCD display compare il valore COM della
funzione Mode, premendo un qualsiasi tasto che non
sia Menu, inizierà la funzione TEST.
- La funzione di test muove automaticamente i
parametri X, Y e F ; durante la funzione TEST il
segnale DMX è ignorato .
- La funzione TEST inizia dopo 5 secondi per permettere
all’operatore di allontanarsi dalla forcella prima che
si muova.
- Premendo un qualsiasi tasto durante TEST, la
funzione Mode ritornerà automaticamente a COM,
il test si interrompe e dopo 15 secondi verrà letto il
segnale DMX.
- Quando l’operatore preme un qualsiasi tasto, il
display diventa più brillante per accentuare la
visibilità.

SPOSTAMENTO MANUALE DEL VIDEOPROIETTORE
Se per una ragione qualsiasi il controllo a distanza
della forcella non è disponibile, il puntamento del
videoproiettore può essere eseguito anche manualmente.
I movimenti tilt e pan sono dotati di frizioni per
permettere al cliente di spostare il videoproiettore in
assenza di corrente senza danneggiare i motori. Una
situazione tipica è la manutenzione del videoproiettore.
Al ripristino dell’alimentazione, il videoproiettore tornerà
alla posizione di origine memorizzata.
MANUTENZIONE E NOTE
Il sistema è previsto per funzionare senza alcuna
manutenzione particolare, tranne quanto necessario al
videoproiettore.
In ogni modo, poichè il sistema ha delle parti meccaniche
in movimento e dei componenti che si scaldano, è
consigliabile far controllare da un tecnico qualificato
almeno una volta l’anno i punti seguenti:
• motoriecuscinettiasferadevonoesseresilenziosie
senza vibrazioni
• collegamenti elettrici: vericare che i loro morsetti
siano ben serrati e che l’isolamento non sia usurato
in particolare nelle zone di rotazione della forcella.
• Tuttii dispositivi sospesi devonoessere saldamente
bloccati per evitare gioco od oscillazioni ed eventuali
rischi di caduta.
• Le viti e le cinghie di sicurezza di bloccaggio del
videoproiettore sulla forcella siano perfettamente
serrate.

Il prodotto deve essere riciclato o smaltito
secondo la direttiva 2002/96/CE

MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
The yoke is normally hung in vertical position, on trusses
or pipes of 50 mm diam.
The pipe has to be strong enough to carry the weight of
the yoke(s) and rigid enough to avoid oscillations during
the use that can reduce the precision of the focusing and
disturb the position of the other units already focused.
If you wish to install the yoke on the floor instead of
hanging it, you can fix it by using a special base plate
that can be ordered as an option.
The yoke is foreseen to work always in vertical position
(either from horizontal pipes or on horizontal floor).
Don’t install it in different positions in order to avoid
overload of motors and of ball bearings.
Even though the motors are protected with a clutch
and electronic cut-off if the yoke hits an obstacle, it is
important to allow reasonable space around the fixture.
Don’t forget to connect the safety rope, as well if
required by the local country safety regulations.
MOUNTING OF THE VIDEO PROJECTOR ON THE
YOKE
The yoke is equipped with a rectangular plate screwed on
the mobile part of the yoke that can be easily removed .
The video projector has to be fixed on this plate..
Normally it can be done as follows:
• Unscrewtheplatefromtheyoke
• Takeawaytheadjustablefeetonthebottomof
thevideo
• Put the video on the plate as it should be later
mounted.
• Whenyoudenethepositionofthevideoonthe
plate,iftheconnectorsofthevideoareontheside
ofthe xturedon’tforgetto leaveroomenough
fortheirinsertion;
• Markontheplatethepositionoftheholesofthe
removedfeet.
• Drill the plate in correspondence of these points
with  holes that should be approximately of the
samediameteroftheholesonthevideo.
• Fixtheplatetothebottomofthevideowithscrews
ofthesamediameterandpitchoftheoriginalfeet,
togetherwithlockwashers.
• Tightenthemstronglyinordertobesurethatthe

INTRODUCTION
ARC System ( Automated Remote Control system) is a
family of motorised yokes for remote control of stage
and studio luminaires , video projectors, and many
other products.
ARC Video is the version studied for the remote
control of video projectors.
The standard controlled parameters are:
• Horizontal(X)movement(pan) for more than 370°
• Vertical(Y)movement(tilt) until 270°
All the above functions are controlled through DMX512
digitalsignal.
Being silent and accurate, Arc can be installed both
on the stage and in the auditorium, and operated even
during the show without disturbing the audience.

CONTROL
•Onthetopxbox:
- 1 XLR 5 pin male connector ⑧is mounted to accept
DMX 512 signal for the control of the parameters of
the yoke, (Dmxin)
- 1 XLR 5 pin female connector ⑨ is available to
transmit the DMX 512 signal to the next yoke (Dmx
out).
- 1 cannon D 15 poles high density for SVGA signal
passing from the top of the yoke ⑦to the side of
the projector ⑫.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF
VIDEO PROJECTOR
Please refer to the user manual of the video projector.

screws will not become slack with  the time, or
becauseofthemovement.
• Fix again the rectangular plate with the video
on the original position on the yoke, tightening
carefullythescrews.
• If you are in doubt that the screws xing the
projectorsdon’tgivereasonablelevelofsafetyyou
canuseanextraxationbeltthattiesupthevideo
totheplatefromthefronttotheback.
• Finallyifyourvideohasnoxationscrewsatall,
youhavetousetwobelts:oneasabovedescribed
andanotherthatisxingthevideoalonghiscross
section.
• Don’tforgettocheckperiodicallythatthescrews
and the belt you have mounted are still well
tightened
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The product is foreseen for indoor use: consequently it
has to be protected from humidity and rain if used in
different conditions.
Verify that the unit voltage is correct for the main
voltage.
Always check the efficiency of the ground connection of
the electrical line you use.
POWER SUPPLY
Two independent electrical power supplies are foreseen
on the top fix box
•projector power supply②:
230V50/60Hz10A. Fuse is not foreseen on
the fixture and it has to be installed on the line
accordingly to the local specifications. This cable is
running inside the yoke and arrives close to the video
projector with IEC socket ⑪.
•motors and electronic boards power supply ①:
2230V50/60Hz6Amax: with IEC connector and 2
Amps fuse protection. It CANNOT be dimmed.
WARNING: The unit must always be earthed
WARNING
For safety reasons, always disconnect from
the mains supply before servicing.

LIMIT FOR TILT MOVEMENT
(MENU DISPLAY: YL##)
Technically the yoke has been designed to turn vertically
for about 270 degrees. But you can limit the movement
of the projector either to avoid revers projection or for
any other reason.
Consequently in these case we limit by default the tilt
run to avoid unauthorized working positions, changing
the value of the Yl## parameter.
Similar procedure, but on Yh## parameter, has to be
followed to avoid the same problem using the yoke
standing on the floor.
The above parameters can be of course easily changed
directly by the customer at any time.

SET UP - DISPLAYANDBUTTONSMODULE
The Display-Keyboard controls allow you to read and
modify the functions of the yoke through four keys: Up,
Down, Menu, Store. The functions are:
1. DMXaddress
(Menu display: d###)
2. Speedcontrol
(Menu display: FAST o SLOW)
3. XandYresolutions
(Menu display: 8-b “low”o 16-b “high”)
4. Mode
(Menu display: COM o TEST)
5. Horizontalstartpoint

- Press Menu to select the function you require
- Press Up or Down to modify the value.
- Press Store two times to record permanently the
value selected.
- By pressing the key only once, the new value will not
be recorded.
- All the functions, but Mode (Com/Test), can be
modified with the above procedure .
- When the LCD displays the COM value (default) of
the Mode function, pressing of any keys but Menu
will automatically start of the self-TEST of the
motorized spot.
- The test function moves only the X, Y and F
parameters; during the TEST the DMX signal is
ignored .
- The TEST function starts after 5 second to allows the
operator to move away.
- By pressing any key during the TEST, the Mode
function reverts automatically to COM, the test is
stopped and the DMX signal will be read after 15
second.
- When the operator touches any key, the display gets
brighter to enhance the visibility.

MANUAL MOVEMENT OF THE VIDEO PROJECTOR
If for any reason the remote control of the yoke is not
available, the fixture can be always focused manually.
Clutches are mounted on tilt and pan to let the
customer focus the video projector when the power is
off without damaging the motors. Typically when it is
necessary to service the video projector.
When the power is on again, the video projector will
reach its former original memorised position.
MAINTENANCE AND NOTES
The system is foreseen for working without any special
maintenance except what is required by video projector.
In any case, as the system has mechanical parts in
movement, and hot components, it is advisable, at least
once a year, to check the following points by qualified
technicians:
• Motorsandballbearrings:theseshouldbesilentand
without vibrations
• Electrical connections: verify that they are well
tightened on their terminals and that insulation is
not worn-out especially by the moving parts in the
yoke.
• Allthesuspensiondevicesaretobefullytightenedto
avoid any backlash and any risk of the device falling.
• Thescrewsandthexationsafetybeltsofthevideo
projector on the yoke are to be perfectly tightened.
RECYCLING
The product must be recycled or disposed of,
according to Directive 2002/96/CE.
