2. Slowly and gently insert the valve back into the valve
casing. The valve MUST line up with the valve guide
inside the valve casing. Twist the valve back and forth
until it locks into place. Tighten the valve cap.
3. Operate the valve several times to ensure it moves
smoothly and quickly through its full throw. Blow air
through the trumpet while operating the valve to
ensure it is properly oriented.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the other two valves.
5. Turn the trumpet upside down, then unscrew one of the
valve covers. Clean out any gunk, then place a couple drops
of oil onto the bottom of the valve. Replace the valve cover,
then work the valve to ensure it moves smoothly through its
full throw. Repeat for the other two valves.
6. Pull the tuning slide out a couple of inches. Apply a couple of
drops of oil to each tube, then insert the tuning slide back in
place.
