Remote Control User Guide
Remote Control
Remote control performs the functions of a standard car key without physical
contact. When within a few yards of the car, pressing a button on the remote
can arm or disarm the Helios unit, and lock or unlock the doors. The smaller
button of the remote key fob can also be programmed to work as an
emergency button.

Connecting the Remote Control to Helios
Plug the Remote Control cable connector to the socket on the Receiver.
Cut the Keypad/Dallas connector on the Helios wire harness and connect the
wires to the Remote Control cable the following way:
Connect the RED wire from the Remote Control cable to RED wire on the Helios
wire harness (Keypad/Dallas).
Connect the BLACK wire from the Remote Control cable to BLACK wire on the
Helios wire harness (Keypad/Dallas).
Connect the GRAY wire from the Remote Control cable to the BLUE/WHITE
wire on the Helios wire harness (Keypad/Dallas).
The GREEN wire from the Remote Control cable is not used.

Configuring the Helios unit
Connect the Helios unit to the computer, open the Installer application and
connect to the unit.
In order for the Helios unit to recognize the Remote Control, click on Learn
Remote Control in the Unit Status window. Click Send and press the Lock
or Unlock button on the key fob.

Open the Helios Parameters window and press the Read from unit button.
The Remote Control will appear as a code in the Driver IDs tab.

To configure the Remote Control to Arm and Disarm the Helios unit, in the
Inputs tab, disable all Use for Arm and Use for Disarm options.
In the Logic tab, change the Idle -> Arm dropdown menu value to None.

Click Send to send the changes to the unit.
Now you can use the larger Lock button to Arm and the smaller Unlock button
to Disarm the Helios unit.
To use the Remote Control in combination with immobilizer, in the Outputs
tab select the Immobilizer option and set On when: Armed in the dropdown
menu.

To configure the Remote Control to Lock and Unlock the vehicle doors, in the
Hardware tab, enable the Lock/Unlock from the Remote Control option.
Click Send to send the changes to the unit. Now you can use the larger Lock
button to Arm / Lock and the smaller Unlock button to Disarm / Unlock.

To configure the smaller Unlock button as an emergency button, select the
Use the Remote Control’s small button as an Emergency option in the
Hardware tab.
Click Send to send the changes to the unit.
Now you can use the larger Lock button to Arm / Lock / Disarm / Unlock and
the smaller Unlock button as an Emergency button.

To receive an audible signal from the vehicle horn when the unit is
Armed/Disarmed, select the Use siren when arming/disarming by
Remote Control or iButton option in the Hardware tab.
Click Send to send the changes to the unit.
