This section gives an overview of all the most important safety
aspects for optimum protection of staff and for safe and fault-free
operation.
The non-observation of the handling and safety instructions listed
in this manual can lead to considerable risks.
DANGER! Electrical power!
Danger of life from electric shock.
Installation and commissioning must only
be carried out by qualified employees or
under the guidance of the manufacturer.
All work on the electrical system must be
carried out by trained electricians.
Only operate the system if no
unauthorized changes have been made
and it is in perfect technical condition.
When insulation damage is found,
interrupt the power supply and have
insulation repaired immediately.
Never bypass or disable fuses.
Always replace blown fuses with fuses of
the same rating.

GB_UME 75-135 ... C-03-US
3.1 Magnetic field strength limits for the protection of persons
Protection against magnetic fields
The maximum permissible limit value for persons with active
medical implants is 1 mT (corresponds to 10 Gauss).
This value is not exceeded at distances≥5 m from the strongest
magnet.
For persons without implants, the maximum permissible value
is 2 T (20000 Gauss) for limited exposure.
The permissible average value for continuous exposure
(approx. 8 hours) is 212 mT.
The maximum measured values at approx 1 m distance from a
magnet with the highest field strength and a power of 70 kW
were less than 100 mT.

resulting from the particular work conditions at the area of use
of the machine and implement them in the form of machine
standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Check during the entire operating time of the machine whether
the work instructions meet the current versions of the
regulations and amend the work instructions if applicable.
Clearly define and assign the responsibilities for installation,
operation, maintenance and cleaning.
Make sure all persons working on the machine have read and
understood the operating instructions.
Train and inform the staff about the risks at regular intervals.
Provide the required personal protection to the staff.
Make sure the machine is always in a perfect technical
condition.
Ensure compliance with the maintenance intervals specified in
these operating instructions.
