Stellar Cyber Quick Start for the
3000C & 6000C Appliances
To start using Stellar Cyber:
1. Access the 3000C or 6000C appliance
2. Change the management configuration
3. Change the data port configuration
4. Set the license
5. Access the Stellar Cyber GUI
Accessing the 3000C or 6000C Appliance
The procedures for the 3000C and 6000C appliances are identical. You can access the appliance
by VGA console or using SSH.
Sensor ports are available only on the model 3000C and model 6000C POC appliance.
Power on the Appliance
Connect the power supplies at the rear of the appliance in addition to any peripherals used to
access the device (see below). Then, press the power button on the front of the appliance to
power it on.
VGA Console Access
For VGA console access connect a display device to the system using one of the two VGA ports
(one is in the front and the other is in the rear).

SSH Access
The default management IP address on the appliance is 192.168.1.100/24, and the default
gateway IP address is: 192.168.1.1. The default User and Password are both: stellar.
For SSH access to the appliance:
ssh -l stellar 192.168.1.100
Verify Configuration
Use three commands to verify the configuration. Confirm the management IP address from the
console or an SSH session:
show interface
The output should show the default management and data port IP addresses (bold in this
example):

You can specify an interface to see details for only that interface:
show interface [mgt|data1g|data10g|cltr0]
Confirm the gateway from the console or an SSH session:
show gateway
The output should be:
Management network gateway 192.168.1.1 via mgt interface
Data network gateway 192.168.1.1 via data1g interface
Confirm DNS from the console or an SSH session:
show dns
The output should be:
8.8.8.8
Changing the Management Configuration
Change the default management, gateway, and DNS IP addresses. From the console or an SSH
session:
set interface mgt ip <new management IP address>/<netmask>
set interface mgt gateway <new gateway IP address>
set interface mgt dns <new DNS server IP address>
Confirm your changes with the show interface, show gateway, and show dns commands.
Apply the new settings:
set interface mgt restart
Changing the Data Port Configuration
Change the default data port, and gateway addresses. From the console or an SSH session:
set interface data1g ip <new data port IP address>/<netmask>
set interface data1g gateway <new data port gateway IP address>
Confirm your changes with the show interface and show gateway commands.
Apply the new settings:
set interface data1g restart

NOTE: DNS server configuration is not available on the data port.
Setting the License
Stellar Cyber sends your license via email. If you have not received your license, contact
support. To set the license, from the console or an SSH session:
console dl-master
Log in. The default User is aella, and the default Password is changeme.
From the console or an SSH session:
set otp <string>
Accessing Stellar Cyber
To log in to the Stellar Cyber GUI, use Chrome or Firefox (the default User is admin, and the
default Password is changeme):
https://<new management IP address>
The first time you log in to the Stellar Cyber GUI, the system guides you through setting the
email address associated with the admin account.
