Congratulations on purchasing your new ZoomX
«X-003»monocular. Enjoy the sharp, bright,
high-resolution view offered by these outstanding
optics. Follow the instructions for use and your
product will be a reliable companion for many years to
come.
Do not, under any circumstances, look through
the monocular at the sun or laser light sources!
Serious eye injury may result.
Never leave the monocular in the sun for extend-
ed periods of time without the protective lens
cap. Extreme exposure to direct sunlight through
the objective lens and eyepiece can cause the
device to function as a burning glass and damage
the interior components or cause a fire.
Never leave the removable outer parts within
reach of children (risk of swallowing).

Eyecup Adjustment
03
Your ZoomX «X-003» monocular is fitted with
twist-up eyecup that provide a comfortable view of
the full image and help to exclude extraneous light.
For use without eyeglasses or sunglasses, twist the
eyecup upwards, rotating it counter-clockwise until it
lock into the fully «Up» position (Pic. 1).
If you are wearing glasses, start with the eyecup in
the «Down» position – this will bring your eyes closer
to the monocular’s ocular lense, allowing you to see
the full field of view. To lower the eyecup from the full
«Up» position, rotate it clockwise (Pic. 2). The eyecup
may also be set to a position midway between fully up
and fully down, which may suit some individuals
better.

Focus Adjustment
04
To obtain a sharp view through your monocular, you
need to adjust the focus. Rotate the focus wheel
until you have a sharp image.
Hint: Eyeglasses worn for nearsightedness should be
worn when using monoculars, as you may not be able
to reach a sharp focus at infinity without them.

Objective Lens Cover
When using your «X-003»
monocular, flip open the
objective lens cover. To
prevent accidental loss, the
cover is tethered to (remov-
able) rubber security ring.

Care and Maintenance
First, blow or brush away any dust or debris on the
lens (using «canned air» or a soft lens brush).
To remove dirt or finger prints, clean with the supplied
soft storage bag (made of washable micro-fiber
cloth), rubbing in a circular motion. Use of a coarse
cloth (including paper towels) or unnecessary rubbing
may scratch the lens surface and eventually cause
permanent damage. The included storage bag/mi-
cro-fiber cloth is ideal for the routine cleaning of your
optics. Simply breathe lightly on the lens to provide a
slight amount of moisture, then gently rub the lens
with the micro-fiber cloth.
For more thorough cleaning, photographic lens tissue
and photographic lens cleaning fluid or isopropyl
alcohol may be used. Always apply the fluid to the
cleaning cloth – never directly on the lens.
To prevent potential damage to the optical coatings
on the lens surfaces of the monocular, never use
household window cleaning liquids, and avoid using
facial tissue or clothing that may have fibers which
can be abrasive and hold oils or dirt.
