The Imagic IS 10x30 Monocular is supplied with an interchangeable 10x eyepiece. It can also be fitted with
Opticron SDL, HDF and HR eyepieces (see below).

Monoculars can be a useful companion when traveling, going to sporting and leisure events or used as part
of a hobby such as birdwatching or astronomy. To help you get the best results from your equipment please
read the following instructions carefully.
Retractable rubber eyecups and wearing glasses
Imagic IS monoculars provide the full field of view when wearing glasses. To get the maximum field of view
with glasses on, turn the eyecup clockwise into the ‘down’ position. Remember to return them to the upright
position if you or anybody else wants to use them without glasses.
Using the Image Stabilization System
Use the switch marked “ON/OFF” on the top of the scope body to activate and deactivate the image
stabilization. When powered on, a green LED on the eyepiece end of the monocular body will illuminate. To
focus rotate the ring at the far end of the objective lens housing. If you are using an optional zoom eyepiece,
magnification is adjusted using the zoom ring on the eyepiece.
Please note that the stabilization will NOT power off automatically so should be switched off manually when
not in use. When battery power is exhausted the monocular can be used without image stabilization.
Batteries
Imagic IS monoculars are powered by 2x CR2 3V lithium batteries located at the back of the
main body. To change the batteries, unscrew the battery cover, replace batteries and screw
the cover back into place. Please recycle used batteries at your local recycling center.
The batteries should be removed from the battery compartment if the device is not going
to be used for any length of time i.e. more than one month.
User Instructions

Care and cleaning
Monoculars require little maintenance but occasionally the outside surfaces of the eyepieces and objective
lenses will need cleaning. To avoid damaging these surfaces please read the following carefully.
(i) Gently remove excess dirt and dust using compressed air or a lens cleaning brush.
Caution: Hard and persistent rubbing of dirty surfaces can cause abrasive scratches on the surface of the
glass which may distort viewing.
(ii) Breathe on exposed glass surface and then wipe with an optical cleaning cloth (code 30277) in a circular
motion until the surface is clean again.
Imagic IS Monoculars are waterproof to IPX5 standard and there are no user-serviceable parts inside. As
such, the product casing should not be opened except by trained service personnel. If your device develops a
fault, our Service Department is on hand to help you. Do not attempt to dismantle the instrument as this will
invalidate the guarantee.
Imagic IS Monoculars are rubber armored and therefore will withstand the typical bumps and knocks that,
for example, a mobile phone or MP3 player would get in normal everyday use. Avoid dropping the device on
hard surfaces and take care not to crush the device if it is packed in a rucksack or case.
Cold weather
In cold weather the external lens surfaces may steam up when moving the instrument from cooler air outside
to warmer air inside. If this happens, leave the instrument to stand for a few minutes until any condensation
evaporates.
WARNING Never under any circumstances use a binocular to view the Sun. Doing so may cause serious
damage to your eyes.

Opticron Imagic IS monoculars are of a very high quality both in their performance and construction and for
your peace of mind we offer a Premier Limited Lifetime Warranty.
The Premier Limited Lifetime Warranty covers optical and mechanical components as well as the outer
protective armor. Electronic image stabilization components and accessories such as neck straps, rainguards,
dust caps, objective lens covers etc. are covered by our Standard Warranty.
In the case of accidental damage or defects attributable to faulty parts or assembly we will assume
responsibility for the full costs of repair up to 5 years from the date of purchase. We reserve the right to
decide whether defective parts or products should be repaired or replaced.
The Premier Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover loss, theft or deliberate damage to the instrument.

It is important you register your new purchase to activate your Premier Limited Lifetime Warranty. To register
your product and activate the warranty please visit www.opticronusa.com and complete the online Product
Registration Form.
Premier Limited Lifetime Warranties are available on new instruments purchased from participating dealers in
North America and are transferable. If you part with your instrument please make sure the new owner has a
copy of your original proof of purchase and re-registers their ownership at www.opticronusa.com.
