INSTALLATION AND USER INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION / ATTENTION -- DO NOT PLUG THE HEATER INTO ANY POWER
OUTLET OR OPERATE BEFORE READING ALL INSTRUCTIONS!
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this fireplace. Failure to follow these important safety
instructions may cause fire, electric shock or damage. Following proper safety and operating
instructions is the responsibility of the owner.
2. WARNING: This fireplace heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch
hot surfaces. The grill directly on top of the heater outlet becomes hot during heater operation.
3. CAUTION – High Temperature. Keep any materials, such as upholstered furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, plastic, clothes, curtains and other furnishings at least 3 feet away from the top,
front, sides, and rear of the heater element.
4. WARNING: This appliance gets hot and it contains internal parts that could arc or spark. Do
not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored or where the
unit will be exposed to flammable vapors. Do not use near propane tanks.

5. WARNING: This fireplace should not be used as a drying rack for clothing. Do not hang
Christmas stocking or any decoration on the fireplace heater or mantle.
6. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or those with
disabilities.
7. Do not operate the heater unattended or while sleeping. Stay alert and monitor operation at all
times.
8. Always unplug fireplace when not in use.
9. Do not operate any fireplace heater with a damaged cord or plug, or if the heater has
malfunctioned, or if the fireplace has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Take fireplace to
authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
10. Check your heater cord and plug connections. A loose fitting outlet can cause the plug to
overheat and/or cause a fire. Be sure plug fits tight in the outlet. Check frequently during use to
make sure plug and outlet are not hot. If so, discontinue using heater immediately and have
outlet replaced by a qualified electrician. CAUTION: Heaters draw more current than small
appliances, overheating of the outlet may occur even if it has not occurred with the other
appliances.
11. Under no circumstance should this electric fireplace be modified. Parts having to be removed
for servicing must be replaced by a certified repair center prior to operating this electric
fireplace again.
12. Do not use outdoors or anywhere that it can get wet.
13. This fireplace is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations.
Never use this appliance near a bathtub or in the vicinity of water.
14. Do not place or operate the fireplace insert directly on carpet or a similar surface, which may
restrict air circulation beneath the unit. Always use with the included stand if not wall
mounted.
15. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intake or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
16. Do not run cord under carpeting, furniture or appliances. Do not cover cord with carpeting,
throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be
tripped over.
17. To disconnect fireplace, turn all controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
18. Grounding – this heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug with three blades for
proper grounding. DO NOT attempt to modify the plug in any way or use adaptors to defeat
the purpose of the grounding feature. Plug ONLY into a receptacle that accepts three-blade
plugs. CAUTION: To Prevent Electric Shock Match Wide Blade of Plug to Wide Slot of
Outlet, Fully Inserted.
19. When this appliance is installed, it must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes
with the current CSA C22.2 Canadian local codes for USA installation. It is the customers
responsibility to assure that the electrical installation is adequate and in conformance with the
National Electrical Code, ANSA/NFPA 70-latest edition and all local codes and ordinances.
20. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may
cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
21. Do not modify this fireplace. Use it only as described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
22. WARNING: NEVER USE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD OR RE-LOCATABLE POWER
STRIP. An extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.

23. Do not burn wood or other materials in this fireplace.
24. Do not strike fireplace glass.
25. If the heater unit has been dropped or damaged, do not operate unless fully checked out by a
certified repair center.
26. Always use a certified electrician should new circuits or outlets be required.
27. Always use properly grounded, fused and polarized outlets.
28. Always use ground fault protection where required by electrical code.
29. WARNING – Always disconnect the unit from the power supply before performing any
cleaning, light bulb replacement, maintenance or relocation of the electric fireplace.
30. When transporting or storing the fireplace and cord, keep in a dry place, free from excessive
vibration and store so as to avoid damage.
31. The electric fireplace may emit a slight, harmless odor when first used. This odor is normal and
it is caused by the initial heating fireplace.
32. CAUTION: The front panel is not permanently fixed to the base unit. DO NOT lift the
appliance by the front panel.

WARNING:
This heater and parts become hot when in use. The area directly around, under, and above the heater
element must be clear and free of any obstructions.
DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO OPERATE. KEEP CHILDREN AND PETS AWAY
FROM THE HEATER AND CONTROLS. THE HEAT COMES OUT THE VENT ON THE
TOP OF THE UNIT. DO NOT PLACE OBJECTS ON TOP OF THE HEATER UNIT. DO
NOT TOUCH OR LEAN ON THE TOP OF THE HEATER UNIT, THIS IS A HOT
SURFACE.
Choosing a Location for the Fireplace Heater:
When choosing a location in your home, ensure that the general safety instructions are followed. For
best results, install out of direct sunlight. The heat vent is on the top of the unit so keep that in mind
when deciding where to locate your fireplace. FOR SAFETY PURPOSES, IF UNIT IS FREE
STANDING ON THE FLOOR, USE COMMON SENSE AND KEEP THE UNIT IN A LOCATION
OUT OF DIRECT TRAFFIC AND AWAY FROM WHERE CHILDREN OR OTHERS WON’T
BUMP INTO IT.
For Wall Mounted Installation:
Make sure that the wall is capable of supporting the combined weight of the appliance. If necessary
have a qualified technician reinforce the wall.

Examine the wall you want to install the mount to before you start installation. Make sure that there
are no hidden power supply cables, water pipes or other objects hidden in the wall.
NOTE:A dedicated power circuit is recommended for the unit. Additional electrical appliances on
the same circuit may exceed the current (amperage) rating for that circuit.
Plastic Base Installation for Free Standing Option:
1. Do not connect the appliance to a power source until properly fixed to the stand and the
instructions are fully read.
2. Remove front glass panel.
3. Place the heater unit laying down on a flat clean surface.
4. Align the 6 predrilled holes on the bottom of the heater to the 6 holes on the plastic base
(Diagram 1).
5. Using the provided 6 small screws attach the plastic base to the heater. Make sure screws
are tight to avoid the heater from tipping once upright (Diagram 2).
6. Carefully lift heater upright (Diagram 4).
7. Place the front glass panel (Diagram 3) onto the heater (Diagram 4) by engaging the 4
grooves on the side brackets on the front glass panel to the 4 fixed bolts on the sides of the
heater base unit (Diagram 5 & 6). NOTE** the front glass panel is not permanently fixed
to the base unit. Do not try to lift the appliance by the front panel.

Wall Mounting Installation Option:
1. Do not connect the heater to a power source until properly fixed to the wall and the
instructions are read fully.
2. It is strongly recommended that this unit is attached to wall studs.
3. Two people are recommended for wall mounting installation.
4. Use caution while drilling holes.
5. The minimum distances must be observed. This appliance is designed to be permanently
fixed to a wall at a minimum height of 23.5 inches from ceiling and floor. The wall bracket
must be fitted horizontally and the cable routed to the bottom right of the heater.
6. Use the large wall bracket as a template and mark four drill positions on the wall. Make sure
that these holes are level and at the desired location.
7. Put the wall bracket aside and drill 4 holes with a depth of 35mm using a 5/16” drill bit.
8. Clean the holes from dust and insert one wall anchor into each hole. Make sure the edge of
the wall anchor is flush with the wall surface. NOTE: A wall anchor is not needed if the
hole is over a stud.
9. Hold the large wall bracket in position and fix it to the wall with screws.
10. Attach the small wall bracket to the bottom of the appliance using the 2 short screws.
Make sure the screws are tight.
11. Carefully lift the appliance and hook it on the large wall bracket. Do not let the appliance go
until you are sure it is safely engaged to the wall bracket.
12. Now mark the hole position on the wall for the smaller wall bracket attached to the bottom
of the unit. Carefully remove the appliance from the large wall bracket and drill 2 holes for
the small wall bracket with a depth of 35 mm using a 5/16” drill bit.
13. Clean the holes from dust and insert one wall anchor in each of the 2 holes. Make sure the
edge of the wall anchor is flush with the wall surface.

14. Then lift up the appliance again, engage it onto the large wall bracket and finally fix the
small bracket to the wall with screws.
15. Place the front glass panel onto the heater by engaging the 4 grooves on the side brackets on
the front glass panel to the 4 fixed bolts on the sides of the heater base unit. NOTE** the
front glass panel is not permanently fixed to the base unit. Do not try to lift the appliance
by the front panel.
Installing Decorative Pebbles:
Remove the front glass panel from the base unit. Take the black and white pebbles out from the two
packages and gently pour into the small gap in the back of the glass panel until full.The black and
white stones may be mixed together as desired to fill the space. Place the front glass panel back on
the base unit by engaging the 4 grooves on the side brackets on the front glass panel to the 4 fixed
bolts on the heater base unit.
Instructions for Use:
The appliance can be operated either by the switches located on the top right hand side of the fire or
by supplied remote control.
Manual Operation
a) The switches are located at the top right hand side of the heater unit. The standby toggle Power
Switch (─/O) must be switched ON.( ─ = ON / O= OFF )
b) Press the Power button once to turn ON the appliance and fire effect. A red indicator light
will appear to indicate that the function is ON. To operate the dimmer mode, press the
button for 3 seconds.
c) Press the Low button for the low heat setting: press twice to turn off the heat setting.
d) Press the High button for the high heat setting: press twice to turn off the heat setting.
e) Press the Power button to turn OFF the appliance when done using.
f) Press the standby toggle Power Switch (─/O) to the OFF position when not in use.
Remote Operation
a) The standby toggle Power Switch (─/O) located at the top right hand side of the heater must be
switched ON.
b) It takes some time for the receiver to respond to the transmitter. Do not PRESS the buttons more
than once within two seconds for correct operation.
c) Press the Power button to turn on the appliance and fire effect.
d) Press the Low button for the low heat setting: press twice to turn off the heat setting.
e) Press the High button for the high heat setting: press twice to turn off the heat setting.
f) Press the Flame button to operate the dimmer mode.
g) Press the Power button to turn OFF the appliance when done using.
h) Press the standby toggle Power Switch (─/O) to the OFF position when not in use.

Maintenance:
WARNING: Disconnect power and unplug the power cord before attempting any maintenance or
cleaning to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or damage to persons.
The bulbs in your unit are LED, have a long life, and are not replaceable.
Cleaning
To clean the unit, first turn off ALL controls on unit and unplug the unit from power source.
CAUTION: Wait until the unit has completely cooled before attempting any cleaning.
To clean glass display panel; remove dust with clean dry cloth or to remove finger prints and other
marks clean glass with clean damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on glass display panel surface. Metal and metal
painted parts should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on
these surfaces.
Battery Replacement
The remote is operated by 1 x CR2025 Lithium Button Cell Battery. To replace a dead battery
push on the side of the battery compartment tab then slide out the battery holder. Replace battery
with one new CR2025 Lithium battery. Make sure polarity if facing in correct direction. Recycle
old battery in accordance with local regulations.
