10. There is a thermostat limiter inside the heater. When inner
temperature overheating or abnormal heating occurs, the
thermostat protective device will cut off the power supply
to avoid damage to the replace or risk of re.

To avoid injury from unexpected starting or electrical
shock, do not plug the power cord into a source of power during
unpacking and assembly. The cord must remain unplugged
whenever you are adjusting/assembling the replace.
If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to use or

correctly replaced. To avoid electric shock, use only identical
replacement parts when servicing double-insulated tools.

screwdriver. Never overtighten bolts.
Do not sit on any part of the mantel.
It is recommended to work on a soft surface like a rug or to
lay out a blanket to protect the furniture from getting scratched
during the assembly process.

Locate the Top Surround Rail (D) as well as the Left and
Right Partitions (B and C).
Align the Top Surround Rail (D) between the Left and Right
Partitions (B and C). Push together, inserting the pre-
installed dowels on the Top Surround Rail (D) into the holes
on the Left and Right Partitions (B and C) as shown.
Insert Screws (AA) through the pre-drilled holes on the
edges of Left and Right Partitions (B and C) and Metal Plate
(MM) as shown.

Locate the Front Panel with Control Button (EA).
Using Screws (BB), secure the Front Panel with Control
Button (EA) between the Left and Right Partitions and just
below the Top Surround Rail (D) as shown.

Turn the unit over so that the Front Panel with Control Button (EA) is now
facing upward.
Locate the Front Fireplace Glass Panel (Q).
Carefully insert the Front Glass Panel (Q) into the grooves of the Left
and Right Partitions (B and C) as shown. Slide all the way in until the
glass meets the bottom of the Control Support Panel.

Locate the Base (A) and align the Base (A) with of the center assembly.
Insert Screws (GG) through the Base (A) and into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the center assembly as shown.
Securely tighten all screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

Locate the Left and Right Side Panels (E and F).
Align the Left and Right Side Panels (E and F) with the
Base (A).
Insert Screws (GG) through the Base (A) and into the
pre-drilled holes on the edges of the Left and Right Side
Panels (E and F) as shown.

Locate the Back Panels (H).
Slide the Back Panels (H) into the grooves between the
inner side partitions and the outer side panels as shown.
Slide all the way down until the Back Panels (H) meet the
bottom shelf.

7Each Door Handle (KK) has pre-attached screws. Remove
these screws and place the Door Handles (KK) over the
predrilled holes in the Left and Right Doors (N and O).
Place the pre-attached screws on the other side of the
Left and Right Doors (N and O) and tighten with a Phillips
screwdriver through the door and into the Door Handles (KK).

Lift the Left Door (N) and align the hinges with the pre-
attached hardware on the main assembly as shown.
Slide the barrel of the hinge on the door downward onto
the pin of the hardware on the main assembly.
Repeat steps with the Right Door (O).

9Locate the Left and Right Media Shelf Partitions (J and K) and the Center
Media Shelf Partition (L).
Insert the pre-installed hardware on the edges of the partitions into the
pre-drilled holes on the Top Panel (G).
Secure the partitions in place by tightening the fasteners on the Top
Panel (G) with a Phillips screwdriver.

10 Locate the Upper Back Panel (M).
Slide the Upper Back Panel (M) into the grooves
between the Left and Right Media Shelf Partitions
(J and K) as shown. Slide all the way down until
the Upper Back Panel (M) meets the Top Panel (G).

Using Screws (CC) and a Phillips screwdriver, attach the
Magnetic Door Catches (DD) to the Center Shelf (I).
Attaching the magnetic door catches 12 Insert bolts (EE) into pre-drilled holes in Center Shelf
(I), but do not tighten all the way. Leave each bolt
head about 1/8 in. out from the shelf.

Center Shelf (I).
Insert Screws (GG) through the shelf ( I ) and into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the partition panels (K, L and J) as

Lower the upper assembly onto the main assembly, lining
up the pre-installed hardware on the upper edges of the
main assembly with the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of
the Center Shelf (I).

16 Place the Back Panel Brackets (II) between the back
panels and the grooves of the assembly as shown.
Fasten each Back Panel Bracket (II) using Screws (HH).
Repeat until all brackets are in place as indicated by the
diagram.

Inserting the adjustable shelves
Insert the Shelf Pins (JJ) into the pre-drilled holes on
the inside of each cabinet side panel at your desired
height. Align all pins to the same height to ensure your
shelf is level.
Rest the Adjustable Shelves (P) on the Shelf Pins (JJ)
as shown.

Locate the Bracket (EF) and secure to each side of
the Heater Box (EB) using Bolts (FF).

19 Locate the Heater Box (EB) and align it behind the
Control Panel Support.
Secure the electric replace to the center shelf using
Bolts (EE). Tighten on both sides using a Phillips
screwdriver.

Place the Log Set Left (EC) into the Ember Bed (EG) as
shown. Repeat with the Log Set Right (ED).

Route the wires of the Log Set Left (EC) and the Log Set Right (ED) down the back of the Ember Bed (EG) and into the receiving
tabs to secure in place. Refer to the lower diagram.
Gently plug the cords from both the Log Set Left (EC) and the Log Set Right (ED) into the ports as shown. Ensure the cords are
plugged in straight.

22 Place the assembled log set into the back of the unit
behind the glass panel.
Push the tabs beneath the log set into the holes on the
bottom panel.

25 Locate the Back Panel (R).
Only slightly bend the wallpaper and t it into the back of
the replace.
Note that this back panel is reversible and can be
placed with either side facing the replace insert for a
customizable look.

When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (LL) is properly
installed, it can provide protection against unexpected
tipping of the unit due to small tremors, bumps or
climbing.
Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (LL) includes one Unit
Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and two
Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following
steps for a proper installation.
Locate a secure wall stud behind the unit closest to the
left side.
Align the Unit Anchor with a wall stud and attach with
Anchor Screws using a Philips screwdriver. The Anchor
Screws must pass through the Top Assembly (G) for
proper installation.
Align the Wall Anchor in the center of the wall stud,
at level with the Unit Anchor, and attach with Anchor
Screws using a Philips screwdriver.
On the Anchor Tether, detach the cable from the
connector and loop the loose cable through the eyelets
on the Wall Anchor and Unit Anchor. Reattach the loose
cable to the connector, but do not tighten.
Locate a secure wall stud behind the unit closest to the
right side, and repeat the steps above.
Tighten both Anchor Tethers by pulling the cable
through the connector.
Installing the tipping restraint hardware
WARNING:
Installing the Tipping Restraint
Hardware will help prevent accidents or damage to the
unit.

Installation of the Tipping Restraint Hardware (LL)
will provide a small space between the wall and the unit.
This will allow you to run power cords and connector cables
to your television or other devices placed on top of the unit.
WARNING
• Unit must be placed on a level surface
or leveled with included hardware (when
applicable).
• Do not sit or stand on or allow children to
climb, sit or stand on the assembled product.
• For safety reasons, it is imperative that this
unit be mounted to the wall or oor.
• Unit can tip over causing severe injury or
death.
• Do not exceed the recommended weight
limits.
• Before cutting, drilling or hammering into
any wall or oor surface, verify the location
of electrical, plumbing and gas lines. Cutting
may cause serious injury.

Adjusting the heater
Press the heater button on the control panel to turn on/off
(00) and adjust the heater setting.
The “+ / - ” buttons on the remote will increase / decrease
temperature setting.
The thermostat setting range is 82°F - 62°F (27°C - 17°C) or
continuously ON.
The thermostat is adjustable by 2°F or 1°C increments.
To change between °F and °C, press and hold the heater
button on the control panel for 3 seconds.
NOTE: To change between °F and °C press and hold the
Heater button on the control panel for 3 seconds.
Push the Power button to supply power to all
functions of the replace and put the insert in a
standby mode.
Push the Power button again to turn off all functions.

Powering the replace
NOTE: Holding the Power button on the control panel for
10 seconds will disable the heater function.
NOTE: All previous settings are held in memory, so the
next time you power up the replace, the unit will turn on
with the same settings.
Adjusting the ame
There are 5 brightness levels that can be selected and OFF
(00) setting. Settings F5 - F1 decrease in brightness.
Pressing the Timer button will cycle through the timer
settings; 30 minutes, 1 Hour, 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H, 6H, 7H,
8H, 9H, and off (00).

NOTE: The control panel can be accessed at the upper-right corner of the insert.

The flame speed is only adjustable from the remote
control. Each ame setting has 5 speed options available.
Setting 1 is slowest ranging up to setting 5 which is the
fastest.

NOTE: Please operate the remote control at a slow
measured pace. Press the remote control buttons with
an even motion and gentle pressure. Repeatedly pressing
buttons in rapid succession may cause the transmitter to
malfunction.
NOTE: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix
alkaline, standard (carbonzinc), or rechargeable (nicad,
nimh, etc) batteries. Do not ingest batteries.
When the remote control stops operating or its range
seems reduced, it is time to replace the batteries with
new ones.
On the back end of the remote, press and slide
the battery door open and remove the old battery.
Insert two AAA batteries, checking that the + and -
sides of the battery match inside the battery
compartment.
Replace the battery compartment door.

NOTE: Batteries should be removed if the product is
to be left unused for a long time.
The battery may contain hazardous substances that
could endanger the environment and human health.
This symbol marked on the battery and/or packaging
indicates that used battery should not be treated
as municipal waste. Instead it shall be left at the
appropriate collection point for recycling.
By correctly disposing used batteries, you prevent
potential negative consequences for the environment
and human health. Recycling used materials also
conserves natural resources.
For more information about collecting and recycling
used batteries, please contact your local municipality,
your waste disposal service or the point of sale where
you purchased this product.

8Power cord information
This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug
as shown in the figure.
Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
Do not use a two-prong adapter. Never use with an
extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/
power strip).
9Patented Safer Plug®information
This product is equipped with a Safer Plug®, which is an advanced safety
device that helps prevent electrical res caused from faulty outlets.
Overloading of outlets, adapters and surge protectors may cause
overheating, damage, and increased risk of res. The Safer Plug
continuously monitors the temperature in the plug and outlet and will turn
off the heater to prevent unsafe outlet overheating.
If the Safer Plug cuts the power due to unsafe conditions it will show an
“ Er ” message on the screen. If this occurs the Safer Plug has prevented
a potentially unsafe condition.
To reset the device if this occurs, rst allow the plug to cool down. Once
the plug has cooled down, unplug the device and wait 5 seconds, then
plug back in and continue to use normally.
If the Safer Plug continues to activate, your outlet may be faulty. Check
your heater cord and plug connections. Faulty wall outlet connections or
loose plugs can cause the outlet or plug to overheat. Be sure the plug ts
tight in the outlet. Heaters draw more current than small appliances.
Overheating of the outlet may occur even if it has not occurred with the
use of other appliances. During use check frequently to determine if your
plug outlet or faceplate is HOT! If so, discontinue use of the heater and
have a qualied electrician check and/or replace the faulty outlet(s).
