Thank you for purchasing the SubZero
15” Active Floor Monitor. To help you get the most
out of your new product, please read this manual
carefully.
The SZPA-P88/P810 is a live performance PA
system with a removable 8-channel mixer, which
includes a powerful class D amplifier.
The mixer unit includes a digital media player with
USB, SD card and Bluetooth connections, as well as
additional outputs for monitors and subwoofers.

CONTROLS & FUNCTIONS
1. AC IN JACK
Connect the included power cord here.
CAUTION!
Be sure to use the included power cord.
Use of other cords may result in malfunction,
heat generation, or fire.
2. POWER SWITCH
For turning the power to the mixer on and off.
3. FUSE
220V: T2A-250V
4. SPEAKERS L/R CONNECTORS
(for included speakers only)
These output the mixed signal channels from
1 to 7/8, and the level is adjusted with the
MASTER LEVEL control. Connect only the
included speakers.
Tip: + positive speaker terminal
Sleeve: - negative speaker terminal
5. MONITOR OUT L (MONO)/R CONNECTORS
These output the mixed signal channels from
1 to 7/8, and the level is adjusted with the
MONITOR OUT control. These connectors are
convenient for connecting an external powered
speaker for monitoring purposes.
Tip: + positive or “hot”
Sleeve: shield or ground
NOTE:
When L (MONO) output signal is inserted alone
without R output signal, the L (MONO) output
signal is the sum of both left and right signals.
6. SUB OUT
Used to connect an active bass speaker box.
Tip: + positive or “hot”
Sleeve: shield or ground
7. XLR CHANNEL INPUTS (CH 1 and 2)
For connecting a balanced or unbalanced
microphone, keyboard or other instrument
device. Set the MIC/LINE switch to MIC or LINE
for channels 1 and 2, depending on the level of
the input signal. XLR-type connectors are wired
as follows: pin 1: ground, pin 2: hot(+), and pin
3: cold(-).
8. XLR/TRS/TR CHANNEL INPUTS (CH 3 and 4)
For connecting a balanced or unbalanced
microphone, keyboard or other instrument
device. Set the MIC/LINE switch to MIC or LINE
for channels 3 and 4, depending on the level of
the input signal. XLR-type connectors are wired
as follow: pin 1: ground, pin 2: hot(+), and pin
3: cold(-). TR-type connectors Tip:”hot” (+),
Sleeve: ground.

9. TRS/RCA STEREO CHANNEL INPUT
CONNECTOR (CH 5/6)
Input the left and right channels of a stereo
signal into the respective odd and even
channels of the mixer. These inputs are
intended mainly for use with instruments and
equipment having stereo outputs, such as a
synthesizer or CD player. If you have a mono
line instrument or device, use the left channel
connector with TR jacks.
10. RCA STEREO CHANNEL INPUT
CONNECTOR (CH 7/8)
Input the left and right channels of a stereo
signal. These inputs are intended mainly for
use with CD/MP3 players and DJ’s surfaces.
NOTE:
The RCA Stereo Channel (CH 7/8) will only
work if LINE is selected by repeatedly pressing
the MODE button on the Media Player until the
display shows ‘LINE’.
11. MIC/LINE SWITCH
Set this switch to MIC or LINE for channels 1 to
4, depending on the level of the input signal.
Set the switch to the LINE ( ) position.
CAUTION!
To avoid damage to speakers, be sure to
turn off amplifiers (or powered speakers)
before setting this switch to MIC or LINE. We
also recommend that you turn the MASTER
LEVEL control to the minimum setting before
operating the switch, to avoid excessively loud
noises that could cause hearing loss or device
damage.
12. PHANTOM POWER SWITCH
If you are using a condenser microphone,
please connect it to either input 1 and/or 2
and press the PHANTOM POWER button to
the ON position.
CAUTION!
Be sure to leave this switch OFF if the device
or instrument that you are using does not
require phantom power. When using phantom
power, do not connect any devices other than
condenser microphones to the XLR input jacks.
Other devices may be damaged if connected
to phantom power.
13. EQUALIZER
HIGH: Determines the level of the high
frequency band for each channel.
LOW: Determines the level of the low
frequency band for each channel.
14. FX CONTROL
Adjust this knob to set the level of the Reverb.
15. MEDIA PLAYER CONTROLS
MODE: Press this button repeatedly to to cycle
through Line, USB and Bluetooth music sources
PLAY/PAUSE: Press this button to toggle
between play and pause while using Bluetooth
FORWARD/BACKWARD: Press briefly to skip to
the next/previous track while using Bluetooth
or USB. Press and hold to adjust volume for
Bluetooth, Line and USB modes.
15. MEDIA PLAYER
To play music via the CH 7/8 input, select LINE.
The display shows the ‘Aux’ symbol and the
word ‘LINE’. To play music from a USB storage
device, insert the device into the USB socket
and the music will begin to play. There’s no
need to select USB mode first. The display will
show the USB symbol and the elapsed track
time. The play/pause and forward/backward
buttons can be used to control the playback.
To play music over Bluetooth from your phone,
select Bluetooth mode. The Bluetooth symbol
will be displayed. If you haven’t previously
paired your phone with the player, the display
will be flashing ‘bt’. Go to the Bluetooth
settings on your phone and make sure it’s
scanning for available devices. The player will
show up as ‘Bluetooth’ in your phone’s list of
available devices. Select this item to pair with
it and connect automatically. Once your phone
has connected with the player, the ‘bt’ will stop
flashing. The play/pause and forward/backward
buttons can be used to control the playback.
16. USB CONNECTOR
Use this port to connect a USB drive or device.
17. LEVEL CONTROL
CAUTION!
Use these controls to adjust the volume
balance among the various channels.
To reduce noise, set any LEVEL controls on
unused channels to the minimum.
18. SPEECH/MUSIC SWITCH
Set this switch to VOICE ( ) to optimize the
mixer settings and sound quality for speech
purposes and announcements. Set this to
MUSIC ( ) to optimize the mixer for musical
performance.

19. MONITOR OUT CONTROL
Determines the signal level output from the
MONITOR OUT connectors.
NOTE:
The MASTER LEVEL control does not affect the
signal via the MONITOR OUT control.
20. FX CONTROL
Delay controls the amount of effect sent to
each channel. FB controls the speed of the
delay repetitions.

22. POWER INDICATOR
This lights when the POWER switch is ON.
When the indicator flashes, the protection
circuit is operating. Check that the speaker
cable is correctly connected to the mixer and
reapply the power.
23. MASTER LEVEL CONTROL
Controls the main output volume.

REMOVING THE MIXER
1. Please ensure power to the mixer has been
turned off.
2. Use a screwdriver to turn the screw on the mixer
from LOCK to OPEN until it clicks.
3. Securely hold the mixer’s handles to remove it
from the speaker enclosure.
CAUTION!
Please only use the mixer handles when
transporting or moving the mixer unit.
NOTE:
The mixer can also be used when installed in the
speaker.
When you install the mixer into the speaker, make
sure to match the indentations on the speaker
cabinet to the corresponding parts on the mixer,
and then turn the screw from OPEN to LOCK until it
clicks.

QUICK SETUP
1. Connect the included speakers to the mixer.
• Ensure the mixer is turned off
• Insert one cable into output L and connect to
one speaker.
• Insert one cable into output R and connect to
one speaker.
2. Connect your instrument to the mixer
• Use an appropriate cable to connect your
instrument or microphone to the mixer.
3. Set the LEVEL and MASTER LEVEL controls to
the minimum
• Ensure all volume controls are turned all the
way down.
4. Depending on the device being used, set the
MIC/LINE switch to the appropriate setting
• If you are using a microphone, set the
MIC/LINE switch the MIC position.
• If you are using an instrument, set the
MIC/LINE switch to the LINE position.
5. Turn the power On
• Turn on the power to the mixer using the
power switch.
6. Turn up the MASTER LEVEL to the
center position
• Slowly increase the
MASTER LEVEL to the
middle position (12 o’clock).
7. Slowly turn up the LEVEL control on the
necessary channel until the desired level
is reached.
• Whilst using your microphone/instrument,
slowly increase the volume until the desired
level is reached.
8. Applying Effects (optional)
• Increase the DELAY or ECHO
master control in the FX
MASTER section.
• Use the FX control on each
channel to apply the desired
amount of FX to that channel.
NOTE:
• It is recommended that a D.I box is used if
connecting an electric guitar/bass guitar directly
to the mixer.
• If you are using a condenser microphone, press
the PHANTOM POWER button to the ON
position.
• If the limiter light flashes, the mixer is being used
beyond it’s intended capabilities. Please reduce
the master volume until the flashing stops.

APPLICATION
The SZPA-P88/P810 can be used in a wide
variety of sound reinforcement applications,
from a full-band performance onstage to solo
street performances. This is a powerful,
high-performance system in an exceptionally
compact and portable package.
Connect a microphone to the XLR connectors
(channels 1 to 4), connect a bass and guitar to the

stereo input jacks (channels 5/6 to 7/8).
If you have a powered speaker, you can connect
it to the MONITOR OUT jack for monitoring your
vocals. For optimum results in band performance
applications and to create a more powerful sound
for music, make sure to set the SPEECH/MUSIC
switch to MUSIC.
NOTE:
For best results when connecting an electric
guitar or bass guitar to the mixer, use a direct box,
preamp (guitar amp), or amp simulator.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Mixer and Amplifier Will Not Turn On
• Is the included power cord correctly connected
to a power outlet?
Amplifier Turns Off Suddenly
• Is the vent on the top panel of the mixer blocked?
Inadequate ventilation will cause the mixer to
overheat.
Turn off the mixer, ensure the vents on the mixer
are unobstructed, and leave the mixer to cool.
After a few minutes the mixer will reset.
• Is the POWER limiter flashing continuously?
If the POWER light is flashing, the mixer/amplifier
is being used beyond its capabilities. Reduce the
output volume and resume playback.
No Sound From the Speaker(s)
• Are external instruments (including a
microphone) or speakers correctly connected to
the mixer?
• Are the LEVEL controls of all relevant channels
and/or the MASTER LEVEL control set to
appropriate levels?
• Are the SPEAKERS L/R jacks connected to the
included speakers
Distortion or Noise in the Audio Signal
• Are the LEVEL controls of all relevant channels
and/or the MASTER LEVEL control set to
appropriate levels?
• Are the MIC/LINE switches of each channels set
appropriately?
• Are both XLR type and phono type jacks on
channels 1-4 being used (connected) at the same
time?
XLR and phono inputs cannot be used
simultaneously.
• Is the input signal from the connected device set
to an appropriate level?
Output Level is Low
• Are the LEVEL controls of all relevant channels
and/or the MASTER LEVEL control set to
appropriate levels?
• Are the MIC/LINE switches of each channels set
appropriately?
• Are both XLR type and phone type jacks on channels
1-4 being used (connected) at the same time
XLR and phono inputs can not be used

• Is the input signal from the connected device set

Reverb and Echo Effects are not Apparent
• Are the FX controls of each channel set to their
maximum settings?
• Are the Delay and FB controls set to their maximum
settings?
Sound Level is Powerful During Voice Announcements
• Is the SPEECH/MUSIC switch set to MUSIC ( )?
• Are the Equalizer controls (HIGH/LOW) set to
appropriate levels?
Sound Level is Low During Music Playback
• Is the SPEECH /MUSIC switch set to SPEECH ( )?
• Are the Equalizer controls (HIGH/LOW) set to
appropriate levels?
Sound Heard from Only One Speaker
• Are the SPEAKERS LR jacks connected to the
included speakers and mixer?
Connecting an Auxiliary Powered Speaker
• Connect an auxiliary powered speaker to the
MONITOR OUT jack. The MONITOR OUT signal
bypasses the MASTER LEVEL control. Adjust the level
of the MONITOR OUT signal with the MONITOR
OUT LEVEL control. If mono signal is desired, use
only the L MONITOR OUT jack. The mixer will
automatically mix the L and R input signals together.
