SAFETY WARNINGS
Caution, high light intensity. Do not look directly into the LEDs. The LEDs are classified Risk Class I for
blue light radiation.
The housing can reach temperatures up to 85°C during operation. Keep a sufficient distance to cords
and surfaces of other equipment.
Operate the device only with SUMOLIGHT power supplies and products.
Securing the fixture: When suspending the fixture or operating it over people, the fixture and attached
accessories must be secured against accidentally falling by use of a safety cable.
Do not store or operate the fixture in water or rain.
SUMOLIGHT and its affiliated companies and third party suppliers shall not be liable for any incidental, special or
consequential losses, costs or damages incurred by buyer or others, directly or indirectly arising from the sale,
handling or use of the products described herein, or from any other cause with respect to the products, whether
such claim is based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, strict liability in tort, negligence or any other
legal theory (including without limitation, lost profits, revenues, anticipated sales, business opportunities,
goodwill, or interruption of business or other injury or damage).
Before using the device described in this manual, make sure that you have read and understood all instructions.
All products sold by SUMOLIGHT shall be used by qualified professionals only. The burden for safe use and
handling of all SUMOLIGHT products is entirely the responsibility of the purchaser and/or anyone who receives
said products from the purchaser.
CAUTION! Operate the SUMOSPACE ONLY with the covers or lenses installed
in front of the LEDs. Do not connect the SUMOSPACE Power Supply to the
mains when the covers or lenses are removed. Risk of electric shock!

INSTALLATION
Connect SUMOSPACE fixture Power Connector (16) to the Head Power Connector (13) with the Head Feeder
Cable (14).
Connect the AC Power Cord (15) with the AC Power Connector (12) and the mains.
Switch on the Power Switch (11) on the Power Supply (10)

You can now control the SUMOSPACE with the Display Panel (8) on the fixture or externally over DMX/RDM over
standard DMX cable or over LAN and Wi-Fi.

Extended Functions
Key Function
If the Standby key is pressed for more than 5 seconds you
> 5 sec. can toggle between Factory Default Settings (Signal LED
GREEN) and last User Settings (Signal LED BLUE)

Flash Erase; Display shows “FLASH ErASE”; All the user
DMX ADDRESS parameters will be reverted back to the factory default values
permanently

Check IP-address and network mode. Displayed will be first
INTENSITY CLOR TEMP the IPs first two Bytes, then the IPs last two Bytes, followed
by the network mode.
- “SLA no con”: Slave mode, not connected to a master/
router
- “SLA Lan con”: Slave mode, connected to a master/router
via ethernet
- “SLA WiFi con”: Slave mode, connected to a master/router
wirelessly
- “net AP”: Master mode, the fixture serves a WLAN Access
Point.

DMX | LAN | WiFi • GREEN DMX Input is plugged. Incoming DMX data will be received.
DMX overrides data over LAN/Wi-Fi.
• RED DMX over LAN; DMX Input is unplugged. Incoming DMX data
over LAN Network.
•BLUE DMX over WLAN; DMX Input is unplugged. Incoming DMX
data over WLAN Network.
•OFF No incoming DMX data. DMX Input is unplugged.

NETWORK CONNECTOR PANEL
The Network Connector Panel (7) offers besides the Display Panel many additional options to control the
SUMOSPACE and readout important parameter like temperature and working hours of the fixture.
Connector Function
Wi-Fi USB Port with Wi-Fi Dongle.
The SUMOSPACE has a built-in router. You can connect the
fixture with your smartphone or computer and control it with
the web browser. Type in your browser http://sumo or use
IP address: 192.168.111.1

LAN LAN Port.
Offers similar functions to the Wi-Fi connection.

WAN WAN Port.
Is used to create a network with other SUMOSPACEs.

DMX IN 5 pin male XLR connector for standard DMX cables and DMX
controller. An attached DMX connector overrides all other
control connections like Wi-Fi.

DMX OUT 5 pin female XLR connector for standard DMX cables for daisy
chaining the DMX line. It is also possible to control other
SUMOSPACEs over DMX OUT.

YOKE MOUNT
The Yoke Mount is attached from the back side of the SUMOSPACE fixture with two 3/8” thumb screws. To
mount it first align the guiding pins on the inner side of the Yoke Mount with the sliding bars in the corners of the
fixture. Then fasten the two 3/8” thumb screws. To remove the Yoke Mount, you only need loosen the two 3/8”
thumb screws and pull out the Yoke.

LENSES
Exchangeable lenses of 30° and 60° beam angle are available.
Without any lens the beam angle is 120°
Single Lens Plate
Insertion and changing Lenses
Push back the lens towards the outside until it slides out of the lens holder in the middle of the fixture and lift it
upwards. Insert the chosen lens in the same way. Insert the outer face first then slide it under the lens holder in
the middle.
