This guide describes the interconnection of a Sun Storage Fibre Channel Switch 5802 to another Sun Storage Fibre Channel
Switch 5802 using XPAK-XPAK stacking cables. XPAK-XPAK cables come in 3-inch, 9-inch, and 78-inch (2-meter) lengths.
Remove Port Covers
The Sun Storage Fibre Channel Switch 5802 comes with port covers in the XPAK ports. Before installing the stacking cables,
remove the port covers. To remove a port cover, insert a small flathead screwdriver in the cover slot and gently pry the cover
from the port.
Connect Switches
Using an XPAK-XPAK connector, install the cable connectors with the circuit board toward the mid-line of the respective
switch faceplates. The cable connector will fit only one way. When installing the 3-inch XPAK cable, insert the cable
connectors into the XPAK at the same time as shown.
