INTRODUCTIE
Gefeliciteerd met de aanschaf van uw Sunshower DUO. Met deze Sunshower
geniet u van diepwerkende infraroodwarmte tijdens de dagelijkse douche. De
infraroodwarmte van de Sunshower dringt diep door in de huid en houdt spieren
en gewrichten soepel. U kunt de Sunshower DUO plaatsen op stahoogte of
boven een zitje. Met de Sunshower DUO maakt u van uw douche een functionele
infraroodcabine die u elke dag moeiteloos kunt gebruiken. De Sunshower DUO is
vervaardigd uit hoogwaardige materialen en stijlvol afgewerkt.

INSTALLATIE
Waarschuwingen
• LET OP: MAAK NOOIT DE SUNSHOWER OPEN OM ELEKTRISCHE SCHOK
TE VOORKOMEN. IN HET INWENDIGE ZIJN GEEN DOOR DE GEBRUIKER
REPAREERBARE ONDERDELEN AANWEZIG. LAAT ALLE REPARATIES
OVER AAN HIERTOE BEVOEGDE PERSONEN.
• De Sunshower DUO heeft een maximaal vermogen van 1500 W.
Sluit geen andere zware elektrische apparatuur aan op dezelfde groep als uw
Sunshower. De Sunshower DUO moet worden aangesloten op een groep die is
beveiligd met een zekering van 16 A.
• Controleer of het voltage (230 V) overeenkomt met de plaatselijke netspanning
voordat u het apparaat aansluit.
• Let erop dat u voor montage en aansluiting de betreffende zekering in de
zekeringkast eruit draait (of de hoofdschakelaar deactiveert).
• Zorg dat de aansluiting van de unit geschiedt volgens de plaatselijk geldende
voorschriften en volgens NEN 1010 (internationaal IEC 60364).
• Voor een gedetailleerde omschrijving van de installatie kunt u de installatie
handleiding raadplegen welke is meegeleverd met de Sunshower DUO. Ook
kunt u de installatiehandleiding terug vinden op onze website
www.sunshower.nl.

HOOGTEBEPALING
Voor de aanvang van de installatie dient u te bepalen op welke hoogte de Sunshower
DUO module 1 en module 2 worden opgehangen. Dit is bepalend voor een goede
werking. Voor een goed resultaat dient de afstand tussen de Sunshower en de
douche niet meer dan 40 cm te bedragen.
Voor gebruikers tussen de 1,7 m en 1,9 m kan de gemiddelde sparinghoogte
worden gehanteerd van 92 cm. Voor personen die kleiner of langer zijn dan
hierboven beschreven, kan de sparinghoogte (in cm) als volgt worden bepaald:
heuphoogte - 4 cm.
De Sunshower DUO module 2 kan ter hoogte van de kuiten geplaatst worden.
Indien de Sunshower DUO voor een zitje gebruikt word dient de sparing minimaal
4 cm boven het zitvlak te zitten voor module 1. Module 2 kan in een bouwkundig
zitje worden ingebouwd, zolang er ruimte is voor ventilatie. Houd rekening met de
minimale zitafstand van 20 cm.

GEBRUIK
Let bij het gebruik op het volgende:
• Ontdoe uw huid geruime tijd voor de infroroodsessie van crèmes, lippenstift en
andere cosmetica.
• Voorkom dat u het te warm krijgt. Ga indien nodig verder van de Sunshower af
staan of zitten.
• Kijk niet langdurig in de infraroodlamp
• Voorkom dat andere personen tijdens gebruik in het licht van de Sunshower
kijken in verband met de kans op beschadigingen aan ogen.
• Houdt u aan de voorgeschreven afstand van tenminste 20 cm tot Sunshower.
• Raak de glasplaat niet aan tijdens of kort na gebruik. De glasplaat kan warm
worden.
• Gebruik de Sunshower DUO niet indien u overgevoelig bent voor infrarood
licht, raadpleeg bij twijfel uw arts.
Infrarood en uw gezondheid
Sunshower hanteert IR lampen met een compleet IR spectrum, maar met een
optimum in het korte golf gebied. Deze straling kan diep in de huid doordringen
(tot een diepte van 6mm). Dit leidt tot een effectieve en optimale verwarming van
het lichaam. Schadelijke stoffen worden sneller afgevoerd, bloedvaten verwijden en
spieren worden eerder soepel om zodoende betere prestaties te kunnen leveren.
Deze lampen zijn bij voorkeur geschikt om rechtstreeks uw nek, rug en schouders
kortstondig te behandelen. De maximale tijd is 10 minuten, waardoor er geen kans
is op eventuele oververhitting van het lichaam.
Sessie starten
• Zorg dat u tenminste 20 cm van de Sunshower DUO staat.
• Druk ca. 1 seconden op de AAN/ UIT toets, de toets zal wit oplichten.
• De infraroodlamp van zowel module 1 als module 2 gaan gedurende 10
minuten aan en zullen automatisch stoppen.
• Wanneer u op de AAN/ UIT toets drukt tijdens een sessie, beëindigt u de
sessie voortijdig.
De Sunshower DUO zal na uitschakeling 4 minuten nakoelen voordat deze weer
gebruikt kunnen worden. De AAN/ UIT toets zal wit knipperen tijdens het nakoelen.

REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
De buitenkant van de Sunshower is het enige gedeelte dat door gebruikers gereinigd
mag worden.
• De Sunshower mag alleen handmatig gereinigd worden.
• Gebruik nooit een hogedrukspuit om de Sunshower te reinigen.
• Sunshower niet reinigen wanneer het apparaat aan staat.
Gebruik milde reinigingsmiddelen voor de Sunshower. Er bestaat een speciaal
onderhoudspakket voor de Sunshower. Dit pakket bestaat uit een milde reiniger en
een protector, die de Sunshower beschermt tegen kalkaanslag.
VERVANGING VAN DE LAMPEN
De infrarood lampen van de Sunshower DUO module 1 (USHIO 1000 W) en
Sunshower DUO module 2 (USHIO 500 W) hebben een lange levensduur van
2000 uur en gaan nauwelijks achteruit in prestaties. Deze dienen alleen vervangen te
worden als de lampen in zijn geheel niet meer werken.
GARANTIE & SERVICE
U heeft 2 jaar garantie op de Sunshower DUO. Een correct uitgevoerde
installatie in combinatie met uw aankoopbewijs geven recht op garantie.

Sunshower is enkel verantwoordelijk voor product- en designgebreken. Sunshower
kan niet verantwoordelijk worden gehouden voor consequenties van onzorgvuldig
gebruik van dit product of voor de consequenties van het overtreden van lokale
regels. Bij schade die wordt veroorzaakt door het niet in acht nemen van deze
gebruiksaanwijzing, vervalt het recht op garantie. Voor materiële schade of
persoonlijk letsel, veroorzaakt door ondeskundig gebruik of het niet in acht nemen
van de veiligheidsinstructies, zijn wij niet aansprakelijk. In dergelijke gevallen vervalt
de garantie.

STORINGEN
Sunshower reageert niet
• De AAN/ UIT toets op de Sunshower DUO module 1 moet ca 1 seconde
ingedrukt worden, bij een te korte indrukking zal de Sunshower niet reageren.
• De Sunshower is nog aan het nakoelen. Tijdens het nakoelen knippert de AAN/
UIT toets van de Sunshower DUO module 1 wit.
• Controleer in de meterkast of de stop niet gesprongen is en of de
hoofdschakelaar op AAN staat.
Sunshower valt uit tijdens een infrarood sessie
• De elektronica kan gevoelig zijn voor dips in de netspanning (langer dan 10 ms),
waardoor de Sunshower DUO kan uitvallen tijdens een infrarood sessie. Laat
de Sunshowers 10 minuten afkoelen en start een nieuwe sessie.
• Een van de Sunshower DUO modules is te warm geworden en is automatisch
afgeslagen. Controleer of de ventilatie openingen niet geblokkeerd zijn.

VERWIJDERING
Elektrische en elektronische producten mogen niet via het normale huisvuil worden
verwijderd. Verwijder het onbruikbaar geworden product volgens de geldende
wettelijke voorschriften.

INSTALLATION
Warnings
• NOTE: NEVER OPEN THE SUNSHOWER; YOU COULD HAVE AN
ELECTRIC SHOCK IF YOU DO. NO USER-REPAIRABLE COMPONENTS ARE
PRESENT INSIDE THE SUNSHOWER DUO. PLEASE LEAVE ALL REPAIRSTO
AUTHORISED REPAIRERS.
• The Sunshower DUO has a maximum output of 1500 W. Do not connect
up any other heavy-duty electrical equipment to the same fuse group as your
Sunshower. The Sunshower DUO must be connected to a fuse group that has
been protected with a 16 A fuse.
• Before connecting up the Sunshower DUO, check that the voltage specified on
the Sunshower DUO (230 V) is the same as the mains voltage.
• Make sure that you unscrew the relevant fuse in the fuse box (or deactivate the
main switch) prior to installation and connection.
• Ensure that connection of the unit is carried out in accordance with the relevant
regulations and NEN 1010 (international IEC 60364).

HEIGHT DETERMINATION
Before starting to install the Sunshower DUO, determine the height at which modules
1 and 2 of the Sunshower DUO are to be fitted.This is important, as it will determine
whether or not the Sunshower DUO works properly. For the best result, make sure
that there is a maximum distance of 40 cm between the Sunshower and the shower.
An average recess height of 92 cm is recommended for users who are between
1.7 m and 1.9 m tall. The recess height (in cm) applicable for individuals who are
shorter or taller than the heights indicated above can be established as follows:
hip height - 4 cm.
Module 2 of the Sunshower DUO can be fitted at calf height.
If the Sunshower DUO is to be used in combination with a seat, the recess for
module 1 must be positioned at least 4 cm above seat level. Module 2 can be
incorporated into a built-in seat, provided there is enough space for ventilation. Make
sure that you allow for a minimum sitting distance of 20 cm.

USE OFTHE SUNSHOWER
Bear the following in mind when using the Sunshower DUO:
• Remove creams, lipstick and any other cosmetics from your skin well before
starting your infrared session.
• Avoid getting too hot. If necessary, stand or sit a little further away from the
Sunshower.
• Don’t look into the infrared lamp for too long.
• Avoid anyone else looking into the light of the Sunshower during use; their eyes
could be damaged otherwise.
• Keep to the distance specified, so at least 20 cm from the Sunshower.
• Do not touch the glass pane during or shortly after use; it can get hot.
• Do not use the Sunshower DUO if you are sensitive to infrared light; consult
your doctor if in any doubt.
Infrared and your health.
Sunshower uses IR lamps with a full IR spectrum and optimal short wave radiation.
This radiation is able to penetrate deep into the skin (to a depth of 6mm), warming
the body effectively and optimally. Harmful substances in the blood are discharged
faster, blood vessels widen and muscles become more supple and effective. These
lamps are most suitable for the treatment of your neck, back and shoulders for short
periods of time. The maximum treatment time is 10 minutes, because of which the
body will not overheat.
Starting a session
• Make sure that you are standing at a distance of at least 20 cm from the
Sunshower DUO.
• Press the ON/OFF button for about 1 second; you will see that the button
lights up white.
• The infrared lamps on modules 1 and 2 will be activated for 10 minutes and will
then stop automatically.
• If you press the ON/OFF button during a session, the session will end
immediately.
Once deactivated, the Sunshower DUO will need four minutes to cool down, after
which it can be used again. The ON/OFF button will blink white during the cooling
process.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The outside of the Sunshower is the only part of the product that users should clean.
• The Sunshower may only be cleaned by hand.
• Never use a high-pressure cleaner to clean the Sunshower.
• Do not clean the Sunshower when it is on.
Use mild detergents to clean the Sunshower. A special maintenance pack is available
too. It consists of a mild cleaner and a protector, which protects the Sunshower
against limescale.
REPLACINGTHE LAMPS
The infrared lamps in module 1 (USHIO 1000 W) and module 2 of the Sunshower
DUO (USHIO 500 W) have a long lifespan of 2,000 hours and will deteriorate very
little in performance during this time. These lamps should only be replaced when
they have stopped working.
GUARANTEE & SERVICE
The Sunshower DUO is supplied with a two-year warranty. This warranty will be
honoured if the Sunshower DUO is installed correctly and you are able to produce
your proof of purchase. Receive six months extra warranty by registering your
Sunshower online on www.sunshower.nl/garantie.
Sunshower is only liable for product and design defects. Please note that Sunshower
cannot be held liable for the consequences of careless use of the product or for the
consequences ensuing from the violation of local regulations. The warranty does not
cover any damage caused to the Sunshower DUO when the instructions provided in
the user manual are not observed. We will not accept liability for material damage
or personal injury that are the result of incompetent use or failure to observe the
safety instructions. The warranty will not cover any of the situations outlined above.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The Sunshower is not responding
• Press the ON/OFF button on module 1 of the Sunshower DUO for about 1
second; the Sunshower will not respond if the button is not pressed in long
enough.
• The Sunshower is still cooling down. The ON/OFF button of module 1 of the
Sunshower DUO will blink white during the cooling process.
• Check the meter cupboard to make sure that the fuse has not blown and that
the main switch is ON.
The Sunshower stops working during an infrared session
• The electronics in the Sunshower DUO can be sensitive to dips in the mains
voltage (that last longer than 10 ms), causing the Sunshower DUO to stop
working during an infrared session. Allow the Sunshower to cool down for 10
minutes and then start a new session.
• One of the Sunshower DUO modules has overheated and has cut out
automatically. Check that the ventilation openings are not blocked.

REMOVAL
Electric and electronic products may not be disposed of with the normal household
waste. Remove the unusable product in accordance with the relevant legal regulations.
