Check contents
Separate every part from the packaging and go over each item according
to the TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS section.
Please check that all components are present and in good condition
before discarding the packaging. If any parts are missing, do not attempt
to install the detection kit until you have obtained all parts.
Warnings
Do not install the system in front of a mirror or any other electronical
systems using infrared sensors.
To prevent reection problems, it is recommended to keep a minimum
distance of 1500 mm between the sensor unit and any other object.
Prepping for installation
Flush water supply lines thoroughly before installing.
Shut o water supply.
Operation
Once the system is set up and connected to the water supply source:
Water will automatically be ushed when the user leaves the sensor area
after using the urinal. The water ow will cease after a predetermined
number of seconds.
All the plumbing should be installed in accordance with applicable codes
and regulations.

Adjusting the settings with the (optional) RES-31 remote control
If necessary, the sensor settings can be adjusted:
Turn the water supply o .
To adjust the sensor using the remote control, position the remote
control approximately 15-20 cm directly in front of the sensor.
Select the function you wish to adjust by pressing the corresponding
button once.
After pressing the function button once, the LED on the front
of the remote will ash quickly.
At this point, you can adjust the setting by pressing the (+) and (-) buttons,
each press increasing and decreasing by one level.
When you have nished adjusting, switch the water supply back on.

10
Setting adjustments
DETECTION RANGE:
the detection range refers to the greatest
distance from which an object can be sensed in order to activate the
system. Press the RANGE button and wait for a quick ashing of the
LED in the sensor eye. Then, press + to increase the detection range
and -to decrease it.
NOTE: once the detection range has been set using the remote control,
this range is memorized even in the event of a power cut.
SELF ADJUSTMENT MODE:
to activate, rst ensure that no objects
are in front of the sensor. Press the ADJ button and wait for a quick
ashing of the LED in the sensor eye. Move the hand that is holding the
remote control, away from the sensor area. The ideal sensor range for
each specic location will be set automatically. Once self-adjustment
has taken place, the solenoid valve will open and close for one second
as an indication that the ideal sensor range has been set, and
the product is ready for use.
TRIGGERING TIME:
it is recommended to change the triggering time
only for WC and urinal ushes. This prevents unintentional activations
which may occur when someone passes by the WC or urinal without
intending to use it. By adjusting the triggering time, the system will
only be activated after a minimum presence time has elapsed.
If necessary, the triggering time can be adjusted as follows:
press the IN button. Wait for the blue light to ash on the sensor.
Then press + to increase the safety time or –to decrease it
.
FLOW TIME
: this button applies to ush valves for toilets and urinals
with an infrared dual ush system. For these ush valves, the full ow
time can be adjusted using the double wave button. If required, adjust
the full ow time as follows: press the double wave button and wait for
a quick ashing of the LED in the sensor eye. Then, press +to increase
the ow time and - to decrease it.

11
Setting adjustments
DELAY TIME:
this button allows for modication of the water ow time
after the user removes his hands from the faucet or steps away from
the shower. A delay out time close to zero will save more water.
For ush valve applications, the delay out time function allows for
modication of the time interval that the water starts to ush
after the user has left the toilet or urinal. ln this case, a delay out time
close to zero will not enable the user to be away from the sanitary.
An increased delay out time will make the user experience more
comfortable however, special consideration should be given to high
trac installations. If required, the delay out time can be adjusted as
follows: Press the OUT button and wait for a quick ashing of the LED
in the sensor eye. Then, press+ to increase the delay out time and - to
decrease it.
24 HOUR HYGIENE FLUSH
: this function will maximize hygiene and
help prevent Legionella and other diseases. This function also helps to
prevent pipes from freezing by ensuring water ows through the pipes
every 24 hours. To activate or deactivate the hygiene ush, press the
clock button, and wait for a quick ashing of the LED in the sensor eye.
Then press+ to activate the hygiene ush or - to deactivate it.
TEMPORARY OFF FUNCTION:
this function temporarily disables the
product to allow for any activity near the sensor without activation,
for example, cleaning. Faucets and ush valves will remain shut for
1 minute and showers will remain closed for 2 minutes when this
button is pressed once. To cancel this function and to return to normal
operation press this button again or wait 1 to 2 minutes, depending on
the product.
RESET:
this function allows the sensor to return to the original factory
settings. If your product includes a self adjusting sensor,
the RESET button will restore ail the factory settings except for the
sensor range.
To enter self adjusting mode, use the ADJ button.
To change the sensor range, use the RANGE button.
If reset is required, press the RESET button and the+ button together.

12
FILTER CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
This system is provided with a stainless steel lter preventing foreign particles
to enter the lines. It is recommended to clean the lters every six (6) months.
If the water ow has decreased, this may be because the lter is clogged.
The lter can be cleaned as follows:
1. Shut-o the water shut o valve.
2. Disconnect the water supply inlet from the solenoid box and remove the lter.
3. Wash the lter under running water.
4. Reassemble the parts.
5. Restore the incoming water supply.
6. Make sure that there is no water leakage.
CARE AND CLEANING OF CHROME AND SPECIAL FINISHES:
DO NOT use steel wool or cleansing agents containing alcohol, acid,
abrasives, or the like. Use of any prohibited cleaning or maintenance products
or substances could damage the surface of the sensor unit. For surface cleaning
use ONLY soap and water, then wipe dry with a clean cloth or towel.
When cleaning bathroom tiles, the sensor should be protected from any
splattering of harsh cleansers.
