SafetyInformationSafetyInformationSafetyRidingRequirementYourelectricmotorcyclecanprovidemanyyearsofserviceandpleasureifyoutakeresponsibilityforyourownsafetyandunderstandthechallengesyoucanmeetwhileriding.Thereisalotyoucandotoprotectyourselfwhilstriding.Youwillfindmanyhelpfulrecommendationsthroughoutthismanual.Thefollowingareafewthatweconsidertobemostimportant.STORMBEEisahighperformanceelectricmotorcycleandshouldbetreatedwithextremecaution.Propersafetygear,includingaregionally/nationallyapprovedhelmet,ridingboots,eyewear,gloves,andprotectiveclothingshouldbewornwhileridingtoreducetheriskofpotentialinjury.Wehighlyrecommendtheuseoffullheightmotocrossbootssincethevastmajorityofmotorcycleinjuriesarethroughlegandfootimpact.Readallwarningsandinstructionsinthismanualaswellasallthesafetylabelsbeforeoperatingyourelectricmotorcycle.Neverallowaguesttorideyourelectricmotorcyclewithoutproperinstruction.Ensureyouhavethelegalqualificationtoridethemotorcyclebeforeoperation.Neverconsumealcoholordrugsbeforeoperationofyourelectricmotorcycle.Personsunwillingorunabletotakeresponsibilityfortheiractionsshouldnotusethismotorcycle.Youassumeallresponsibilitywhileoperatingyourmotorcycle.Thesellerassumesnoliabilityformisuseoroperatornegligence.Priortoeachuse,theridermustcheckeverythinginthe“checkbeforeride”sectiononpage7.1,andthechargelevelofthebatterypackasindicatedonthedashboarddisplaychargeindicator.Itisimportanttokeepyourmotorcycleproperlymaintainedandinsaferidingcondition.Havingabreakdowncanbedifficult,especiallyifyouarestrandedoff-roadfarfromyourbase.Tohelpavoidproblems,inspectyourmotorcyclebeforeeveryrideandperformallrecommendedmaintenanceaccordingtothemaintenancescheduleandadjustmentrequirementslistedinthismanual.Besureyouunderstandtheimportanceofcheckingallitemsthoroughlybeforeriding.IfyouaretheSTORMBEEoff-roadversionowner,pleaseunderstandyourmotorcycleisdesignedandmanufacturedforoff-roaduseonly.ThetiresarenotmadeforpavedsurfaceuseandthemotorcycledoesnothaveTurnsignalsorotherfeaturesrequiredforuseonpublicroads.Ifyouneedtocrossapavedorpublicroad,getoffandwalkyourmotorcycleacross.Modificationstothemotorcyclemayrenderthemotorcycleunsafeandmaycauseseverepersonalinjury.Themanufacturercannotbeheldliablefornon-approvedmodifications.Beverycarefulwhenloadingoraddingaccessoriestoyourmotorcycle.Large,bulky,orheavyitemsmayadverselyaffectthehandlingandperformanceofyourmotorcycle.ImportantInformationSeveralimportantoperationconsiderationsarelistedbelow:Alwaysturnthekeyswitch(A)andmotorstopswitch(B)totheOFFpositionwhennotactivelyriding.Itisextremelyeasytoforgetthatthemotorcycleisstillinstandbymodebecauseitiscompletelysilent.Anaccidentcanoccurifthemotorcycleisleftpoweredupwhilegettingonoroffthemotorcycle.

2.32.4Turnthemotorstopswitch(B)OFFwhenpushingormovingthemotorcycle.Usetheparkingbrake(C)whenyouarestoppedonaramporsteephill.Donotholdpartialthrottletokeepthemotorcyclestationaryonaramporsteephill,itcantriggerthelockedrotorprotectionwhichcausethemotorcycletoslipback.Pleaserechargethebatterypackofyourelectricmotorcycleaftereachuse.Oncefullycharged,disconnectfromACpowersupply.Makesurethatthechargingiscarriedoutinanopenspaceorwithmonitoring.WhileunpluggedwiththekeyintheOFFposition,themotorcycleselectroniccomponentswillconsumeasmallamountofpowerandthebatterypackwilldrainextremelyslowly.Ifyoudon’trideforanextendedperiodoftime(30daysormore),youmayneedtochargetheelectricmotorcycleforafewhourspriortoyournextride.Thebatterypackwillbedamagedifitisstoredforalongtimeunderlowpower._____________CAUTION_____________OnlychargetheSTORMBEEbatterypackwiththemotorcycle’soriginalchargerorthemanufactureapprovedaccessorycharger.Thebatterypackdoesnotrequirenorbenefitfromdeepdischarging.Togetthemostbatterypacklife,rechargethebatterypackaftereachride.Constantlyleavingabatterypackinadeepdischargingstatewillcausebatterycelldamage.FailuretofollowbatterypackstorageandcharginginstructionsasdescribedinthisManualmayvoidthewarrantyofyourSTORMBEEelectricMotorcycle.Theseguidelineshavebeenrigorouslytestedtoensuremaximumbatterypackefficiencyandservice.A
