Cabinet Maintenance, Care and Cleaning
Thank you for purchasing Surewood Cabinetry. These high quality cabinets are constructed of Solid Birch Hardwoods and
Veneered Plywood with a premium Paint or Stain Finish. With proper care your cabinets will give you many years of
enjoyment, convenience and beauty.
CLEANING YOUR CABINETS
•Use a mild dish detergent or soap and warm water, ring free of excess water. Make sure to remove all soap film
and dry with a lint free cloth.
•Always wipe up spills, splatters and other kitchen messes immediately. Keeping your cabinets clean and dry will
avoid discoloration and damage to the finish.
•Avoid getting your new cabinets wet especially around sinks, DW and food preparation areas. Do not open your
DW too soon to avoid hot steam damaging the cabinet.
•Excessive humidity can cause warping and damage to the finish.
•Clean heavily soiled spots from the outside edge to the inside to avoid spreading.
•For nicks, dents, scratches and other marks there are touchup kits available from your cabinet dealer.
MAINTAINING YOUR CABINETS
•Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, solvent based products, ammonia, bleach or silicone based
products, scouring pads, sponges or dish clothes with loose particles. These can go right through the
finished top coat and cause rapid deterioration of the finish.
•Direct sunlight can cause your cabinetry to fade and discolor over time.
•Waxing is not recommended and should not be used.
