NORMAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD
Este COMPRESOR DE AIRE tiene características
que harán su trabajo más rápido y fácil. Seguri-
dad, comodidad y confiabilidad fueron previs-
tos como prioridad para el diseño del mismo,
haciendo más fácil su operación.
ADVERTENCIA: Lea todas las advertencias
de seguridad y todas las instrucciones. La omi-
sión de alguna de las advertencias e instruccio-
nes que se enlistan a continuación puede dar
como resultado un choque eléctrico, fuego y/o
un serio daño.
CONSERVE TODAS LAS ADVERTENCIAS Y
TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES.
SEGURIDAD EN EL ÁREA DE TRABAJO
Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien ilu-
minada. Las áreas desordenadas y oscuras pro-
vocan accidentes.
No maneje herramientas eléctricas en atmós-
feras explosivas, tales como en presencia de
líquidos inflamables, gases o polvo. Las herra-
mientas eléctricas crean chispas que pueden
encender el polvo o los humos.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos
mientras maneja una herramienta eléctrica.
Las distracciones pueden causarle la pérdida
del control.
SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
La clavija de la herramienta eléctrica debe
coincidir con receptáculo. No modificar nunca
la clavija de ninguna manera. No usar ningún
adaptador de clavijas con herramientas eléctri-
cas puestas a tierra. Clavijas no modificadas y
bases coincidentes reducirán el riesgo de cho-
que eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies
puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, co-
cinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un riesgo
aumentado de choque eléctrico si su cuerpo
está puesto a tierra.
No exponga las herramientas eléctricas a la llu-
via o a condiciones de humedad. El agua que
entre en la herramienta aumentará el riesgo
de choque eléctrico.
No abuse del cable. No usar nunca el cable para
llevar, levantar o desenchufar la herramienta
eléctrica. Mantenga el cable lejos del calor,
aceite, cantos vivos o piezas en movimiento.
Los cables dañados o enredados aumentan el
riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta eléctrica en
el exterior, use una prolongación de cable ade-
cuada para uso en el exterior. El uso de una
prolongación de cable adecuada para uso en el
exterior reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.

EXTENSIONES DE CABLE
NOTA: El uso de cables dañados incrementa el
riesgo de descargas eléctricas o quemaduras.
Si es necesario un cable de extensión, debe ser
usado un cable con el tamaño adecuado de los
conductores. La tabla de la siguiente página,
muestra el tamaño correcto para usar depen-
diendo en la longitud del cable y el rango de
amperaje especificado en la etiqueta de valo-
res nominales del producto. Si está en duda,
use el rango próximo más grande.
Siempre use cables de extensión listados en UL,
CSA ó NOM.
TAMAÑOS RECOMENDADOS DE EXTENSIONES
DE CABLE:
Cuando esté usando el producto afuera, use
una extensión para exteriores marcadas con lo
siguiente: “WA” o “W”. Estas extensiones están
pensadas para trabajar en exteriores y reducen
el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el
sentido común cuando maneje una herramien-
ta eléctrica. No use una herramienta eléctrica
cuando esté cansado o bajo la influencia de

drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento
de distracción mientras maneja herramientas
eléctricas puede causar un daño personal serio.
Use equipo de seguridad. Lleve siempre pro-
tección para los ojos. La utilización para las
condiciones apropiadas de un equipo de segu-
ridad tal como mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos no
resbaladizos, gorro duro, o protección para los
oídos reducirá los daños personales.
Evite un arranque accidental. Asegúrese de
que el interruptor está en posición apagado
antes de conectar a la red y/o a la batería, co-
ger o transportar la herramienta. Transportar
herramientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el
interruptor o enchufar herramientas eléctricas
que tienen en interruptor en posición encendi-
do invita a accidentes.
Retire llaves o herramienta antes de arrancar
la herramienta eléctrica. Una llave o herra-
mienta dejada unida a una pieza rotativa de
una herramienta eléctrica puede causar un
daño personal.
No se sobrepase. Mantenga los pies bien asen-
tados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en
todo momento. Esto permite un mejor control
de la herramienta eléctrica en situaciones in-
esperadas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o
joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes
alejados de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa
suelta, las joyas o el pelo largo pueden ser co-
gidos en las piezas en movimiento.
Si hay dispositivos para la conexión de medios
de extracción y recolección de polvo, asegúre-
se de que éstos estén conectados y se usen co-
rrectamente. El uso de estos dispositivos puede
reducir los peligros relacionados con el polvo.
IMPORTANTE: Este aparato no se destina
para utilizarse por personas (incluyendo niños)
cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o menta-
les sean diferentes o estén reducidas, o carez-
can de experiencia o conocimiento, a menos
que dichas personas reciban una supervisión o
capacitación para el funcionamiento del apa-
rato por una persona responsable de su segu-
ridad. Los niños deben supervisarse para ase-
gurar que ellos no empleen los aparatos como
juguete.
UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LAS
HERRAMIENTAS ELÉCTRICAS
No fuerce la herramienta eléctrica. Use la he-
rramienta eléctrica correcta para su aplicación.
La herramienta eléctrica correcta hará el tra-
bajo mejor y más seguro al ritmo para la que
fue concebida.
No use la herramienta eléctrica si el interrup-
tor no gira “encendido” y “apagado”. Cual-
quier herramienta eléctrica que no pueda con-
trolarse con el interruptor es peligrosa y debe
repararse.
Desenchufe la clavija de la fuente de alimen-
tación y/o de la batería antes de efectuar
cualquier ajuste, cambio de accesorios, o de
almacenar las herramientas eléctricas. Tales
medidas preventivas de seguridad reducen el
riesgo de arrancar la herramienta accidental-
mente.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inactivas
fuera del alcance de los niños y no permita el
manejo de la herramienta eléctrica a personas
no familiarizadas con las herramientas o con
estas instrucciones. Las herramientas eléctricas
son peligrosas en manos de usuarios no entre-
nados.
Mantenga las herramientas eléctricas. Com-
pruebe que las partes móviles no estén des-
alineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas ro-
tas u otras condiciones que puedan afectar la
operación de las herramientas eléctricas. Las
herramientas eléctricas se reparan antes de su
uso, cuando están dañadas. Muchos acciden-
tes son causados por herramientas eléctricas
pobremente mantenidas.
Mantenga las herramientas de corte afiladas y
limpias. Las herramientas de corte mantenidas
correctamente con los bordes de corte afilados
son menos probables de trabarse y más fáciles
de controlar.
Use la herramienta eléctrica, accesorios y pun-
tas de herramienta, etc. de acuerdo con estas
instrucciones y de la manera prevista para el
tipo particular de herramienta eléctrica, te-
niendo en cuenta las condiciones de trabajo
y el trabajo a desarrollar. El uso de la herra-
mienta eléctrica para aplicaciones diferentes
de las previstas podría causar una situación de
peligro.

SERVICIO
Haga revisar su herramienta eléctrica por un
servicio de reparación calificado usando sola-
mente piezas de reemplazo idénticas. Esto ga-
rantizará que la seguridad de la herramienta
eléctrica se mantiene.
ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD
PARA COMPRESORES DE AIRE
IMPORTANTE: Esta máquina genera aire
comprimido el cual se utiliza para la operación
de herramientas neumáticas. NO SE PERMITE
cualquier uso relacionado con la salud, proce-
samiento de comida, y otros como el rellenado
de cilindros de aire para usos respiratorios.
Explosivos, gases de combustible o gases perju-
diciales a la salud pueden no comprimirse. No
se permite la operación en lugares peligrosos.
Cualquier otro lugar que no se especifique, la
alteración de la máquina o el uso de cualquier
parte o accesorio que no sea aprovado por
por el fabricante o distribuidor puede causar
daños.
• Niños, jovenes y personas que no hayan sido
instruidas en el uso y operación de la máquina
no se les permite utilizarla o cualquier tipo de
herramienta relacionada.
ADVERTENCIA: Antes de realizar la conexión
de la herramienta a la fuente de poder, ASE-
GÚRESE DE QUE EL VOLTAJE PROVISTO ES EL
MISMO QUE INDICA LA ETIQUETA DE DATOS
TÉCNICOS DE LA UNIDAD. Si tiene dudas, no
conecte la unidad.
• Para reducir el riesgo de provocar una explo-
sión, no rocié líquidos inflamables en el área.
Es normal que el motor del compresor llegue
a generar alguna chispa durante el uso. Si las
chispas llegan a hacer contacto con gasolina
sus vapores o solventes, podrían incendiarse y
los vapores causarían una explosión.
• Siempre opere la unidad en un área bien
ventilada. No fume mientras lo utiliza. No lo
accione si hay chispas o fuego cerca. Mantenga
el compresor lo más lejos posible del área de
aplicación.
• Nunca opere una soldadora cerca del com-
presor. No intente soldar alguna parte al tan-
que ya que esto podría ocasionar que el metal
y la estructura del tanque se debilite, esto des-
valida la garantía.
• No use el compresor al aire libre mientras
llueve o sobre superficies húmedas.
• Siempre apague el compresor depués de su
uso y antes de iniciar con el mantenimiento.
Presione el botón de encendido/apagado y es-
pere a que se despresurize el tanque, cuando
se haya liberado la presión, desconecte la he-
rramienta.
• Verique la presión máxima a la que pueden
ser sometidas las herramientas que está usan-
do. La presión de aire que sale del compresor
no debe exceder la presión marcada en la eti-
queta de datos del producto a utilizar.
• Para evitar el riesgo de quemaduras permi-
ta que partes calientes se enfríen antes de un
mantenimiento o revisión.
• No opere la herramienta sin las guardas ins-
taladas. Porfavor tenga en cuenta que el com-
presor comenzará a trabajar cuando la presión
contenida en el tanque llegue al minimo. Des-
conecte la herramienta antes de realizar cual-
quier servicio. Asegúrese que al volver a conec-
tar y antes de encender no exista alguna parte
suelta o sobre el compresor.
• Asegurese de leer todas las etiquetas en los
contenedores, pinturas u otros materiales para
ser rociados. Estrechamente siga todas las ins-
trucciones de seguridad.
• Utilice lentes de seguridad cuando utilice el
compresor.
• No intente ajustar el interruptor de presión
o el la válvula de liberación que se encuentra
debajo de la cubierta del interruptor de encen-
dido.
• Drene la humedad del tanque diariamente.
Esto ayudará a prevenir la corrosión.
• Jale el anillo de la válvula de seguridad dia-
riamente para asegurarse de que este traba-
jando propiamente y a su vez quitar cualquier
obstrucción que pueda tener.
• Mantenga el compresor al menos a 3 m de
distancia de la pared para asegurar una buena
ventilación.
• Antes de transportar el compresor, asegúrese
que esté despresurizado y que esté propiamen-
te asegurádo.
• Proteja la manguera y el cable de alimenta-
ción contra posibles daños. Verifique que no
haya puntos débiles, sustituya si es necesario.
• No utilice una extensión de conexión eléc-
trica. En su lugar utilice una manguera mucho

más larga, esto evitará una perdida de poten-
cia y posibles daños al motor. El uso de una ex-
tensión (y a consecuancia daños) la garantía de
esta máquina se perderá.
• Despues de un largo periodo de operación las
partes metálicas externas podrían calentarse.
• Siempre apague la unidad antes de desconec-
tar el cable de la corriente eléctrica.
• No utilice el compresor sin antes vericar que
haya un nivel de aceite normal en la unidad.
Este debe estar siempre cerca del círculo rojo
marcado en la varilla de medición.
NOTA: Este compresor es empacado SIN aceite.
Debe de ser llenado antes de su primer uso.
• Después de usar el compresor, apague la
unidad, desconecte el suministro de energía y
abra la válvula de salida para liberar la presión.
• No intente quitar cualquier parte de la má-
quina sin antes haber despresurizado.
• Asegúrese de que el aceite lubricante esté
limpio y que su nivel sea mantenido en el nivel
correcto. Sustituya el aceite como lo indica la
sección de Mantenimiento de este Manual.
Cualquier otro uso de los mencionados en
este manual se considera un caso de abuso. El
usuario y no el fabricante será responsable de
cualquier daño o perjuicio resultante de estos
casos de mal uso. El fabricante no se hace res-
ponsable de cualquier modificación realizada
en la herramienta ni de los daños resultantes
de tales cambios. Incluso cuando la herramien-
ta se utiliza según lo prescrito, no es posible
eliminar todos los factores de riesgo residual.
Los siguientes riesgos pueden surgir en rela-
ción con la construcción de la herramienta y el
diseño:
· Daño a los pulmones en caso de que no se use
una máscara de una respiración eficaz.
· Los daños al oído si no se utilizan orejeras
efectivas.
· Daño a los ojos si no se usan gafas de seguri-
dad eficaces.
• Nunca aplique el aire de este compresor di-
rectamente a cualquier parte de una persona
o de su cuerpo. No intente obstruir la salida de
aire con su dedo o con cualquier otra parte de
su cuerpo.
ADVERTENCIA: En caso de que una línea del
aire sea cortada o rota, el compresor debe de
ser apagado inmediatamente. La linea de aire
que se encuentre rota no tiene soporte es ex-
tremadamente peligrosa y podría dar latigazos
a una velocidad extrema, esto podría ocasionar
que golpee al usuario o que haga que algún
elemento externo salga volando.
CARACTERÍSTICAS
CONOZCA SU HERRAMIENTA
Antes de intentar usar la herramienta lea cui-
dadosamente este manual y comprenda todas
sus capacidades y limitantes antes de comenzar
a utilizar esta máquina.

ENSAMBLE Y AJUSTES
MANGO
El mango debe ser instalado como se indica a
continuación:
1. Afloje los tornillos de cada lado de los tubos
usando una llave Allen (no se incluye).
2. Insterte las dos termina-
ciones del mango alineados
con los orificios de ensamble.
3. Apriete los tornillos para
asegurar que el mango se
quede en su lugar.
LLANTAS
Ajuste las llantas de la siguiente manera:
1. Coloque la parte de atrás de la llanta en el
soporte de metal ubicado en el tanque.
2. A continuación, inserte el perno de la rueda
a través de la rueda y luego a través del aguje-
ro en el soporte en el tanque.
3. Coloque y apriete la tuerca con la arandela,

en el interior de la abrazadera apriete con dos
llaves. Repita el procedimiento para la segunda
rueda.
NOTA: Los neumáticos deben ser inflados con
una presión que no exceda los 30 PSI.
PIE DE GOMA
1. Para ajustar las dos patas
de goma ajuste una arande-
la en la cabeza del tornillo y
pasar el tornillo y la arande-
la a través del pie de goma
(Fig.2).
2. Coloque el perno por el
agujero en el soporte frontal
y asegúrelo con la tuerca y
arandela. Apriete la tuerca
con una llave, mientras que
sostiene la cabeza del tor-
nillo con el dedo pulgar. No
apriete en exceso.
Repita para el otro pie de goma (Fig.3).
ACEITE
ATENCIÓN: Se le debe de colocar aceite al
compresor antes de su uso. Para prevenir posi-
bles derrames durante su transporte, el aceite
viene en un contenedor aparte.
Debe de ser añadido al compresor antes de en-
cenderlo.
1. Remueva la tapa plástica
del carter de aceite (Fig.4)
que se encuentra colocado
en la parte superior del tan-
que.
2. Use el aceite provisto para
llenar el carter hasta el nivel
indicado con un punto en la
mirilla del carter (Fig.5).
3. Vuelva a ajustar la tapa,
y asegúrese de que está co-
rrectamente posicionado en
su lugar.
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
RUTINA DE ENCENDIDO
1. Asegúrese de que el área donde va a ser ubi-
cado el compresor, se encuentra limpia, seca y
bien ventilada.
2. Asegúrese que el cárter
esté lleno de aceite y con un
nivel correcto, asi como tam-
bien asegúrese que el filtro
esté colocado en su lugar.
3. Abra la válvula, girando
la perilla (esta debe quedar
en línea recta con la salida,
como se muestra en la fig.6).
Para cerrar la válvula, dirija
la válvula hacia la derecha o
hacia la izquierda (vea la fi-
gura 7 “CERRADO“).
4. Encienda el compresor siguiendo los pasos
que más adelante se muestran en la sección de
“Encendiendo y apagando el compresor.“
Para la primera operación, deje el motor en-
cendido por 10 minutos con carga y con la vál-
vula abierta para asegurar que todas las partes
se encuentren bien lubricadas.
ADVERTENCIA: Este consciente que esta ac-
ción hará que el aire comprimido sea expulsa-
do por la salida del aire, tenga cuidado que el
puerto de salida no se encuentre en dirección
de usted el operador o hacia cualquier otra
persona en la cercania.
ENCENDIENDO Y APAGANDO EL COMPRESOR
1. Verifique que la etiqueta
del compresor indique la co-
rriente correcta.
2. Conecte la unidad al toma
corriente eléctrica con una
corriente de 120V y encienda.
3. Para que se encienda bien
la unidad, active el interrup-
tor jalandolo hacia arriba
(Fig.8).
4. Para apagar la máqui-
na presione el interruptor
(Fig.9).
OPERACIÓN DEL COMPRESOR
1. La presión en el tanque es controlada por
la acción del interruptor. Cuándo la presión
máxima de trabajo es alcanzada, el interrup-
tor de presión se activa y el motor se apaga.
La presión disminuye a medida que el aire es
usado por la herramienta conectada, hasta un
mínimo que enciende el motor nuevamente.

El operador del compresor debe de estar cons-
ciente que el compresor se encenderá o apa-
gará bajo la influencia de cambio de presión
en el tanque.
2. Las presiones máximas y mínimas son esta-
blecidas por la fábrica y el operador no debería
tratar de cambiarlas.
3. La salida de aire del com-
presor puede ser regulada.
4. La presión de salida se-
cambia, girando la perilla
de regulación (Fig. 10). Gire
en sentido de las manecillas
del reloj para incremen-
tar la presión, gire al lado contrario para dis-
minuir.
NOTA: Para obtener una lectura correcta en
el indicador de presión, el aire debe de seguir
fluyendo por la salida de aire. La válvula de
regulación debe ser ajustada, el regulador y
el dispositivo que lee la presión debe de estar
abierta y el aire que se descarga por la salida
de aire ya regulada debe estar siendo usada.
NOTA: Si UD. no permite que el aire sea libe-
rado mientras esté ajustando el regulador, la
presión que se muestra en el manómetro de
la salida de aire será erronea. Este manómetro
SOLAMENTE indicará la presión correcta mien-
tras el aire sea descargado por la salida.
5. Para complementar la tarea por ej. cuando
haya dejado de utilizar el compresor, o cuando
lo haya dejado desatendido, procese a apagar-
lo de la siguiente manera:
• Apague el compresor. Espere a que el aire
presurizado se salga por la válvula de escape
bajo la cubierta del interruptor de encendido.
NOTA: Al momento de accionar el interruptor
se debe escuchar una pequeña descarga de
aire (Aprox. durante medio 1/2 segundo).
• Desconecte la máquina del toma corriente.
• Jale el anillo (Fig.11) en la
válvula de seguridad y asegú-
rese que todo el aire presuri-
zado se libere del tanque, o
abra la válvula de liberación
que se encuentra en la parte
inferior del tanque.
ADVERTENCIAS ADICIONALES
1. Nunca trate de quitar ninguna parte del
compresor mientras este se encuentre presu-
rizado.
2. Nunca trate de quitar ningún componente
eléctrico mientras el compresor se encuentre
conectado a la red eléctrica.
3. No ajuste la válvula de seguridad.
4. No utilice una extensión eléctrica.
5. Si la válvula de seguridad que se encuentra
debajo del interruptor falla durante el proceso
de encendido y apagado, apague la máquina
y trate de determinar la causa. Se recomienda
que contacte a su centro de servicio más cerca-
no a su localidad.
6. Asegúrese que el aceite lubricante esté lim-
pio y que su nivel sea mantenido en la medida
que se indica por un punto rojo en la mirilla de
nivel del aceite.
7. Tenga cuidado al estar descargando el aire
del tanque es decir de la válvula de seguridad,
la válvula de drenado o la salida del aire. El aire
comprimido puede ser peligroso. Tenga cuida-
do que durante la descarga del aire no presen-
te polvo, piedras o cualquier otro objeto extra-
ño que pueda ser lanzado junto con el aire asi
como de cuidar que el aire sea descargado de
manera segura.
MANTENIMIENTO
1. Después de las primeras 10 horas de funcio-
namiento, vacíe el carter de aceite y sustituyalo
con aceite limpio quitando la tapa de desalojo
de aceite (parte inferior del tanque).
NOTA: Utilice un aceite lubricante de calidad
para compresor o similar.
2. Cambie el aceite después de las primeras 50
horas de funcionamiento. Revise el aceite cada
150 horas de operación y reemplace cada 300
horas de funcionamiento.
3. Después de cada día de funcionamiento,
utilice la válvula de drenaje en el tanque para
drenar el condensado.
4. Verifique diariamente el funcionamiento
de la válvula. Esta verificación se debe realizar
cuando el compresor se encuentre cerca del
presurizado máximo. Para verificar la válvula,
el presurizado del tanque y jale el anillo de la

Si la válvula de seguridad no opera correcta-
mente en ninguna de las indicaciones previas,
apague el compresor inmediatamente y lleve
el compresor con la válvula de seguridad a un
centro de servicio para su revisión.
NO CONTINUE UTILIZANDO EL COMPRESOR
POR NINGÚN MOTIVO SI LA VÁLVULA DE SE-
GURIDAD NO FUNCIONA COMO DEBERÍA.
FILTRO DE AIRE
ATENCIÓN: Compruebe regularmente la es-
ponja/ filtro de aire dentro de la caja del filtro
de aire. Limpie o reemplace la esponja cuando
sea necesario.
1. Utilice una llave Allen para
retirar los dos tornillos que
sujetan la tapa del filtro.
2. Retire este ensamble del
filtro de aire y quite la tapa,
en seguida quite la esponja
de filtro (Fig.13).
3. Lave el filtro con un solvente limpio, expri-
ma el solvente restante y deje que se seque por
completo.
4. Añada unas gotas de aceite de motor a la
esponja del filtro y apriete para distribuirlo.
5. Coloque la cubierta exte-
rior del filtro de aire, y colo-
que la segunda mitad de la
cubierta que encierra el fil-
tro de espuma (Fig.14).
INSPECCIÓN GENERAL
1. Con regularidad verifique, que todos los tor-
nillos se encuentren apretados.
2. El cable de alimentación de ser inspeccio-
nado y corroborar que no tenga ningún des-
perfecto o daño. Si este se encuentra dañado,
haga que una persona capacitada de un centro
de servicio lo reemplace.
LIMPIEZA
1. Mantenga las ventilas de las herramientas
despejadas y limpias en todo momento.
2. Elimine el polvo o suciedad regularmente.
Esta limpieza se lograría mejor con un cepillo
suave o un trapo.

4. Si el cuerpo del compresor necesita limpieza,
límpielo con una tela suave y húmeda. Un de-

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Your AIR COMPRESSOR has many features that
will make your job faster and easier. Safety,
performance and reliability have been given
top priority in the design of this tool, qualities
to make easy to maintain and to operate.
WARNING: Read and understand all in-
structions. Failure to follow all indications list-
ed below, may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY IN WORKING AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas may cause acci-
dents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
spheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Some power tools create
sparks which may provoke fire.
Keep away observers, children and visitors
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
ELECTRIC SAFETY
Double insulation eliminates the need for the
three wire grounded power cord and ground-
ed power supply system.
Avoid the body contact with grounded surfac-
es such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is grounded.
Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. The precense of water into power tools
will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse of the power cord. Never use the
power cord to carry the tool and do not pull
the plug off the outlet. Keep the cable away of
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outside, use an
outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cords are rated for outdoor use and re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
EXTENSION CORDS
Replace damaged cords immediately. The use
of damaged cords can shock, burn or electric
shock. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord
with adequate size conductors should be used
to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of pow-
er or overheating. The table below shows the
correct size to use, depending on cord length
and nameplate amperage rating of tools. In
case of doubt use the next heavier gauge. Al-
ways use UL listed extension cords.

PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool.
Don’t use the tool if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of unattention while operating pow-
er tools may cause a serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away of moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
Avoid an accidental starting. Be sure that the
switch is OFF before plugging in. Carrying
tools with the finger on the switch or plug in
the tool switch in ON may cause accidents.
Remove the adjusting keys or wrenches be-
fore turning the tool on. A wrench or a key
that is left close to a rotating part of the tool
may provoke a personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. Proper footing and bal-
ance enables better control of the tools on un-
expected situations.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye pro-
tection. Dust mask, nonskid safety shoes, hard
hat, or hearing protection must be used for ap-
propriate conditions.
Before connecting the tool to a power source
(receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the volt-
age supplied is the same as that one specified
on the nameplate of the tool. To use a not
specified voltage may cause a serious injury to

the user as well as damage the tool.
IMPORTANT: This appliance is not intended
for use by persons (including children) with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
may be different or reduced, or lack of experi-
ence or knowledge, unless such persons are su-
pervised or trained to operate the product by
a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure they do not use
the devices as toys.
TOOL USE AND CARE
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
tool for the application. The correct tool will
do the job better and more safely at the rate
that it was designed to work at.
Do not use tools if switch does not turn it on or
off. Any tool that cannot be controlled whith
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source
before making any adjustments, changing ac-
cessories or storing the tool. This preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of accidental
starting of the tool.
When the power tool is not in use, store it out
of the reach of children, and do not allow in-
dividuals who are not familiar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate it. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands on untrained
users.
Maintain the power tool. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, broken parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,
have it repaired before using. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Check for misalignment or bonding of moving
parts, breakage parts, and any other condition
that may affect the tools operation. If you find
a damaged tool, take it to service before use it.
Use only accessories that are recommended by
the manufacturer of your model. Suitable ac-
cessories for one tool, may become hazardous
when are used on another tool.
Keep cutting tools, sharpened and clean. Cut-
ting tools in good condition with sharpened
edges, are less likely to stuck in workpieces or
easier to control.
Is recommendable to use a safety device suit-
able, such a thermal and diferential switch
when you are using an electric equipment.
SERVICE
Tool service must be perfomed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
AIR COMPRESSORS
IMPORTANT: This machine is intended to
generate compressed air required for the oper-
ation of air tools. Any use for medical purpos-
es, food processing as well as filling of oxygen
cylinders for breathing equipment is not per-
mitted. Explosive, combustible gases or gases
detrimental to health may not be compressed.
Operation in hazardous locations is not permit-
ted. Any other use is not a as specified, altera-
tion of the machine or use of parts that are not
approved by the equipment manufacturer, can
cause unforeseeable damage!
• Children, juveniles and persons not having
been instructed in its usage are not permitted
to operate this machine and any air tools con-
nected to it.
WARNING: Before connecting a tool to a
power source (receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure
that the voltage supply is the same as that
specified on the nameplate of the tool.
A power source with a higher voltage than that
specified for the tool can result in serious injury
to the user, as well as damage to the tool.
Using a power source with a voltage less than
the nameplate rating is harmful to the motor.
Always unplug before making any adjustments
or maintenance, including renewing the lubri-
cating oil.
• To reduce the risk of re or explosion, never
spray flammable liquids in a confined area.
It is normal for the compressor motor and pres-
sure switch to produce sparks during use. If
sparks come into contact with petrol vapours
or solvents, they may ignite and the vapours
can cause a fire or explosion.
• Always operate the compressor in a well ven-
tilated area. Do not smoke while spraying.
Do not spray where sparks or flames are pres-
ent. Keep the compressor as far away from the
spray area as possible.

• Do not use welding equipment in close prox-
imity to the compressor. Do not weld anything
to the air tank of the compressor: this could
dangerously weaken the tank and will void the
warranty.
• Do not use the compressor outdoors when
it’s raining or on a wet surface; either situation
could cause an electric shock.
• Always shut off the compressor after use and
before servicing. Push the on/off knob down,
wait for the pressurised air to bleed from the
tank from the release valve and then remove
the electrical plug from the power supply.
• Check the maximum pressure rating of any
tools or accessories that you intend to use with
the compressor. The output pressure of the air
from the compressor must be regulated so that
it never exceeds the rated pressure of the tool
or accessory.
• To avoid the risk of burns and injury from
moving parts, do not operate the compres-
sor with the safety shield removed. Allow hot
parts to cool before handling or servicing.
• Do not operate the electric tool without in-
stalled guards. Please note that the compressor
will start automatically when the pressure falls
off to minimum! Disconnect from power sup-
ply prior to any servicing.
Ensure that when switching on (e.g. after ser-
vicing) no tools or loose parts are in the electril
tool.
• Be certain to read all the labels on the
containers of paint or other materials to be
sprayed.
• Always wear safety goggles or glasses when
using the air compressor.
• Do not attempt to adjust the pressure switch
or the release valve located under the pressure
switch cover.
• Drain the moisture from the tank daily. It will
help prevent corrosion.
• Pull the ring on the safety valve daily to en-
sure that it operating properly and to clear any
possible instructions.
• Keep the compressor at least 3 m from the
nearest wall to ensure adequate ventilation for
cooling purposes.
• Before transporting the compressor make
sure that the pressurised air is bled from the
tank and that the compressor is firmly secured.
• Protect the air hose and cordset from damage.
Inspect for weak or worn spots regularly and
replace if necessary.
• DO NOT USE an extension cord with this
product. Use additional air hose instead of an
extension cord to prevent power loss and pos-
sible damage to the motor. Use of an extension
cord voids the warranty.
• After long working periods external metal
parts could be hot.
• Always press the on/off button down to
switch off the compressor before switching off
the power or removing the power plug.
• Do not use the compressor without rst
checking the oil level. It must be close to the
red circle as viewed on the oil gauge.
NOTE: The compressor is supplied without oil.
It must be filled before the first use.
• After using the compressor, switch off the on/
off button, disconnect the power supply and
open the outlet valve to release the pressure.
• Do not attempt to remove any part of the
machine whilst is under pressure.
• Ensure that the lubricating oil is clean and
that the oil level is maintained at the correct
level. Replace the oil as indicated in the Main-
tenance section of this manual.
Any use other than those mentioned in this
Manual will be considered a case of misuse. The
user and not the manufacturer shall be liable
for any damage or injury resulting from such
cases of misuse. The manufacturer shall not be
liable for any changes made to the tool nor for
any damage resulting from such changes. Even
when the tool is used as prescribed it is not
possible to eliminate all residual risk factors.
The following hazards may arise in connection
with the tool’s construction and design:
· Damage to the lungs if an effective breathing
mask is not worn.
· Damage to hearing if effective earmuffs are
not worn.
· Damage to the eyes if effective safety goggles
or shield are not worn.
• Never apply the outlet air of this compressor
directly on to any part of a person’s body. Do
not attempt to block the air outlet with your
finger or any part of your body.
WARNING: In the event that an air line is
cut or broken, the air supply must be turned
off at the compressor. A broken air line which

is not supported is extremely dangerous and
can whip around very quickly, both with the
capability of striking people, and blowing for-
eign particles into the air.

ASSEMBLY & ADJUSTMENTS
HANDLE
The handle must be fitted in the following
manner:
1. Loosen the screws in each of the handle fix-
ing tubes using an allen key (not included).
2. Insert the two ends of
the handle into the fixing
tubes.
3. Tighten the screws to se-
cure the handle in place, us-
ing an allen key (Fig.1).
WHEELS
Fit the wheels as follows:
1. Position the back of the wheel onto the met-
al bracket located on the tank.
2. Then insert the wheel bolt through the
wheel and then through the hole in the brack-
et under the tank.
3. Attach and tighten the nut with washer, on
the inside of the bracket tightening with two
spanners. Repeat for the second wheel.
NOTE: Tires should be inflated not exceeding
30psi.
RUBBER FEET
1. To fit the two rubber feet
and fit a washer onto the
head of the bolt and pass
the bolt and washer through
the rubber foot as shown in
figure 2.
2. Place the bolt through the
hole in the front bracket and
secure it with the nut and
washer. Tighten the nut with
a spanner, whilst holding the
head of the bolt with your
thumb, do not over tighten.
Repeat for the other rubber foot (Fig.3).
OIL
WARNING: The air compressor must be filled
with oil prior first use. To prevent possible spill-
age of oil during transport, the compressor oil
is supplied in a separate container. It must be
added to the compressor before turning the
compressor on.Failure to add the oil will cause
nonrepairable damage to the compressor and
will void the warranty.
1. Remove the plastic oil fill-
ing cap (Fig.4) located on the
top of the crank case of the
compressor housing.
2. Use the oil supplied to fill
the crank case until the oil
level as seen in the oil level
glass is up to the mid point
of the red circle (Fig.5).
3. Replace the oil filling cap.
Make sure the cap is fully fit-
ted and firmly in position.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
PRE-START ROUTINE
1. Ensure that the location
for the compressor is clean,
dry and well ventilated.
2. Ensure the crank case has
been filled with oil and is at
the correct level, and the air

filter has been fitted (Fig.7
CLOSED).
3. Open the regulated out-
put valve. Open the valve by
rotating the air tap so it is in
line with the air outlet (refer
to Fig.6 OPEN). To close the valve, rotate the
air tap so it is facing to the right or the left side
of the air valve (refer to the CLOSED picture).
4. Start the compressor by following the proce-
dure in the section “To start and stop the com-
pressor”. For the first time of operation, run
the compressor for 10 minutes with no load
and with the outlet valve open to ensure all
parts are well lubricated.
WARNING: Be aware that pressurised air will
be discharged from the outlet and care should
be taken that this discharge is not directed
towards you the operator, or other persons
within the area.
TO START & STOP THE COMPRESSOR
1. Check the rating label on the
compressor indicates 120V.
2. Plug in the mains cable
of the compressor to a stan-
dard 120 V household power
point and turn on.
3. To start the compressor,
lift the ON/OFF switch on the
pressure switch cover (Fig.8).
4. To stop the compressor,
push the ON/OFF switch
down (Fig. 9).
OPERATION
1. The pressure in the tank is controlled by the
action of the pressure switch located under
the pressure switch cover. When the set maxi-
mum pressure is reached the pressure switch
activates and the motor is switched off.
The pressure then decreases as the air is used
by the connected tool until the set minimum
pressure is reached after which the pressure
switch causes the motor to switch on again.
The operator of the compressor should be well
aware that during use of the compressor the
motor will start and stop under the influence
of the rising or falling pressure in the tank. The
motor will start without any warning.
2. The maximum and minimum pressures are
factory set and the operator should not try to
change them.
3. The outlet on the com-
pressor can be regulated.
4. The pressure of the air
outlet can be changed, by
turning the regulating knob
(Fig.10). Rotate the knob
clockwise to increase pressure and anti-clock-
wise to decrease pressure.
NOTE: To obtain the correct output reading
on the regulated output gauge, the air must
be flowing through the outlet. The regulating
valve should be adjusted and the gauge read
with the outlet valve open and the air being
discharged from the regulated outlet through
the accessory being used. To increase the air
pressure, rotate the regulating valve clockwise.
To decrease the pressure, rotate the regulating
valve anti-clockwise.
NOTE: If you do not allow the air to discharge
while you are setting the regulator, the pres-
sure as indicated on the regulated outlet
gauge will be incorrect. This gauge ONLY in-
dicates the correct pressure while air is being
discharged from the outlet.
5. On completion of the task, i.e. when you
have finished using the compressor, or when
you are leaving the compressor unattended,
turn off the compressor in the following way:
• Press down the on/off switch.
• Wait for the pressurised air to bleed from the
release valve under the pressure switch cover.
NOTE: When you press the button down you
should hear a short air discharge (Approx. 1/2
second).
• Switch off the electrical power supply and re-
move the electrical plug.
• Pull the ring (Fig.11) on the
safety valve to ensure all the
pressurised air is released
from the tank, or open the
drain cock to release the
pressure from the tank.
ADDITIONAL WARNINGS
1. Never attempt to remove any part of the
compressor whilst the tank is under pressure.
2. Never attempt to remove any electrical com-
ponent whilst the compressor is connected to
the power supply. Switch off the power and
remove the electrical plug.
3. Do not adjust the safety valve.
4. Do not use an electrical extension cable.

5. If the release valve under the pressure switch
cover fails to operate when the on/off button
is pressed down, switch the power supply off
and determine the nature of the fault.
6. Ensure that the lubricating oil is clean and
that the oil level is maintained at the mid point
of the red circle in the oil level glass.
7. Take care when discharging air from the
tank, i.e. from the safety valve, the drain cock
or the air outlet. Compressed air can be ex-
tremely dangerous. Take care the discharge air
does not cause dust, stones or any other for-
eign particles to be blown through the air and
that the air is discharged in a safe manner.
MAINTENANCE
1. After the first 10 hours of working, empty
the crank case of oil and refill with clean oil by
removing the crank case oil plug (left hand side
of the crank case at the bottom).
NOTE: Use good-quality compressor lubricating oil.
2. Replace oil after the first 50 hours of opera-
tion. Check oil every 150 hours of operation
and replace every 300 hours
of operation.
3. After each day of opera-
tion, use the drain cock un-
der the tank to drain off any
condensate (Fig 12).
4. Check daily the operation of the safety valve.
This check should be performed when the tank
contains close to max pressure in the tank.
To check the valve, pressurise the tank, and
pull the ring OUTWARDS on the safety valve.
Air should discharge from the valve.
Release the ring of the safety valve. When the
ring is released the air discharge must stop.
AIR FILTER
WARNING: Regularly check the foam air filter
inside the air filter assembly and clean or replace
the foam filter when necessary.
1. Use an allen key to remove the two screws
holding the air filter cover on.
2. Remove the air filter as-
sembly and take off the
cover and remove the foam
insert (Fig.13).
3. Wash the foam filter in
clean solvent, squeeze out the
remaining solvent and allow
it to dry completely.
4. Add a few drops of ma-
chine oil to the foam filter
and squeeze to distribute.
5. Fit the outer cover into the air filter foam,
and fit the second half of the cover enclosing
the foam filter (Fig.14).
GENERAL INSPECTION
1. Regularly check that all the fixing screws are
tight.
2. The supply cord of the tool should be
checked frequently for damage. If damaged,
have the cordset replaced by an authorized
service facility to avoid a hazard.
CLEANING
1. Keep the tool’s air vents unclogged and
clean at all times.
2. Remove dust and dirt regularly. Cleaning is
best done with a soft brush or a rag.
3. Re-lubricate all moving parts at regular in-
tervals.
4. If the body of the compressor needs clean-
ing, wipe it with a soft damp cloth. A mild de-
tergent can be used but nothing like alcohol,
petrol or other cleaning agent.
5. Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.
CAUTION: Water must never come into con-
tact with the tool.
POWER CORD MAINTENANCE
Only an authorized service centre should re-
place the cordset or carry out other repairs.
If the cordset is damaged or worn, have it
repaired or replaced by an authorized service
center.

Esta garantía no será valida en los siguientes
casos:
· Cuando el producto haya sido utilizado en condi-
ciones distintas a las normales o al desgaste natu-
ral de sus partes.
· Cuando el producto no haya sido operado de
acuerdo al instructivo de uso que lo acompaña.
· Cuando el producto haya sido alterado o repara-
do por personas no autorizadas.
