GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO A RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY:
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the
presenceofnon-insulatedor“dangerousvoltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient
magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important
operation and maintenance or servicing instructions.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
HANDLINGCAUTION
• Take care that the key cover does not pinch
yourfingers, and do not inserta finger or hand
in any gaps on the key cover or instrument.
•Neverinsertor drop paper, metallic, or other
objects into the gaps on the key cover, panel
orkeyboard.If this happens, turn off the power
immediatelyandunplugthepowercordfrom
theACoutlet.Thenhavetheinstrument
inspectedbyqualifiedSuzukiserviceperson-
nel.
• Do not place vinyl, plastic or rubber objects on
the instrument, since this might discolor the
panelorkeyboard.
• Bumping the surface of the instrument with
metal, porcelain, or other hard objects can
cause the finish to crack or peel. Use caution.
• Do not rest your weight on, or place heavy
objects on the instrument, and do not use
excessive force on the buttons, switches or
connectors.
• Do not operate the instrument for a long period
oftimeatahigh or uncomfortable volume
level,sincethis can cause permanent hearing
loss. If you experience any hearing loss or
ringing in the ears, consult a physician.
HANDLINGAND TRANSPORT
Neverapplyexcessive force to the controls,
connectors or other parts of the instrument.
Always unplug cables by gripping the plug
firmly, not by pulling on the cable.
Disconnectallcablesbeforemovingthe
instrument.
Physical shocks caused by dropping, bump-
ing, or placing heavy objects on the instru-
ment can result in scratches and/or more
seriousdamage.
Carefullychecktheamplifiervolumecontrol
beforestartingto play. Excessive volume can
causepermanenthearingloss.
LOCATION
Do not expose the instrument to the following
conditions to avoid deformation, discoloration, or more
serious damage:
•direct sunlight (near a window),
•high temperatures (near a heat source, outside, or
near a window),
•excessive humidity,
•excessive dust, or
•strong vibration.
Leave enough space around the piano for it to be
properly ventilated.
This instrument contains digital circuitry and may
cause interference if placed too close to radio or
television receivers. If interference occurs, move the
instrument further away from the affected equipment.
Avoid placing vinyl objects on top of the instrument,
vinyl can stick to and discolor the surface.
USING THE BENCH
Do not place the bench in an unstable position where
it might accidentally fall over.
Do not play carelessly with, or stand on the bench.
Using it as a tool or stepladder might result in
accident or injury.
Only one person should sit on the bench at a time, in
order to prevent the possibility of accident or injury.
Do not attempt to adjust the bench height while sitting
on the bench, since this can cause excessive force to
be imposed on the adjustment mechanism, possibly
resulting in damage to the mechanism or even injury.
If the bench screws become loose due to extensive
long-term use, tighten them.
CLEANING
Clean the cabinet and panel with a soft nonabrasive
dry cloth. This cloth should be for High Gloss Lacquer
Finish Furniture. A polish specifically for High Gloss
Lacquer Finish Furniture may be used on the cabinet.
Do not use paint thinner or petrochemical based
polishes.
To maintain the luster of the keys and buttons wipe
with a clean, slightly damp cloth, and then polish with
a soft dry cloth.

This Suzuki digital piano will supply you with years of musical enjoyment if you follow the simple rules listed below.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
When using electrical products, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, includ-
ing the following.
SAFETY
Power Source - The product should always be
connected to a power supply of the type
described in the operating instructions or as
marked on the product.
Periods of Nonuse - The power-supply cord of
the product should be unplugged from the outlet
when left unused for a long period of time.
Disposal Notice
Should this product become damaged beyond
repair, or for some reason its useful life is
considered to be at an end, please observe all
local, state, and federal regulations that relate
to the disposal of product that contain lead,
batteries or plastics.
SERVICE AND MODIFICATION
This product should be serviced by qualified
service personnel when,
• the power supply cord or the plug has been
damaged,
• liquid has been spattered into the unit or it
has been exposed to rain,
•the instrument does not appear to operate
normally or exhibits a marked change in
performance, or
• the instrument has been dropped or the
cabinet has been damaged.
Do not attempt to open the piano or make any
change in the circuits or parts of the unit.
CONNECTION
Beforeconnectingthe instrument to other
electroniccomponents,turn off the power for all
components.Beforeturningthepoweronoroff
forall components, set all volume levels to
minimum. Also, be sure to set the volumes of
allcomponents at their minimum levelsand
graduallyraisethevolumecontrolswhile
playing the instrument to set the desired
listeninglevel.
CAUTION
Always follow the basic precautions listed
below, to avoid the possibility of physical
damage to the instrument or other property,
precautions include, but are not limited to,
the following:
• When removing the electric plug from the
instrument or an outlet, always hold the
plug itself and not the cord. Pulling on the
cord can damage it.
• Do not put burning items, such as
candles, on the unit. A burning item may fall
overandcauseafire.
• Ifthe power cord or plug becomesfrayed
or damaged, or if there is a sudden loss of
sound during use of the instrument, or if any
unusualsmellsor smoke should appear,
immediatelyturnoff the power switch,
disconnect the electric plug from the outlet
andhave the instrument inspected bya
Suzukiservicepersonal.
POWER
Turnthepowerswitchoffwhenthe
instrument is not in use.
Toavoiddamagetotheinstrumentandother
devices to which it is connected, turn the
powerswitchesofallrelateddevicesoff
priortoconnectionor disconnection of MIDI
cables.
Turnthe power off if the main cable is
damagedor the instrument is spattered with
liquid.
Do not switch the unit on and off in quick
succession, this places an undue load on
theelectroniccomponents.
UnplugtheACpowercordduringan
electrical storm.
AvoidpluggingtheACpowercordintothe
same AC outlet as appliances with high
power consumption, such as electric
heatersorrefrigerators.
Donotdefeat the purpose of the polarized or
grounding-typeplug.Apolarizedplughas
twobladeswithone wider than the other. A
groundingtypeplughas two blades and
thirdgroundingprong.Thewide blade or
thirdprongareforyoursafety.Iftheprovided
plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an
electricianforreplacementofthe obsolete
outlet.
