wDonotattempt toopenthepianoormake
anychange inthe circuitsorpartsofthe
unit.
HANDLINGAND TRANSPORT
wNeverapplyexcessiveforcetothecontrols,
connectorsorotherpartsoftheinstrument.
wAlways unplugcablesbygripping theplug
firmly,notbypulling onthecable.
wDisconnectallcablesbeforemovingthe
instrument.
wPhysicalshockscausedbydropping,
bumping,orplacingheavyobjectsonthe
instrumentcan resultinscratchesand/or
moreseriousdamage.
wCarefullycheck the amplifiervolumecontrol
beforestartingtoplay.Excessivevolume
cancausepermanenthearingloss.
CLEANING
wCleanthecabinetandpanelwithasoftdry
cloth.Awaxbasedpolishmaybeusedon
thecabinet,althoughrubbing withasoft
clothwill usuallysuffice.Donotusepaint
thinnerorpetrochemicalbasedpolishes.
wTomaintainthe lusterofthe keysandbut-
tonswipewithaclean,slightlydampcloth,
andthenpolishwithasoftdrycloth.
LOCATION
Donotexposetheinstrumenttothe following
conditionstoavoiddeformation,
discoloration,ormoreseriousdamage,
wdirectsunlight(nearawindow),
whightemperatures(nearaheatsource,
outside,orinacarduring thedaytime),
wexcessivehumidity,

wLeaveenoughspacearoundthepiano forit
tobeproperlyventilated.
wThisinstrumentcontainsdigitalcircuitryand
maycauseinterferenceif placedtooclose
toradioortelevisionreceivers.Ifinterfer-
enceoccurs,movethe instrumentfurther
awayfromtheaffectedequipment.
wAvoidplacing vinylobjectsontopofthe
instrument,vinylcansticktoanddiscolor
thesurface.
POWER
wTurnthe powerswitchoffwhentheinstru-
mentisnotinuse.
wToavoiddamagetotheinstrumentand
otherdevicestowhichitisconnected,turn
thepowerswitchesofallrelateddevicesoff
priortoconnectionordisconnectionofMIDI
cables.
wTurnthe poweroffifthemaincableis
damagedortheinstrumentisspattered
withliquid.
wDonotswitchthe unit on andoffinquick
succession,thisplacesan undue load on
theelectroniccomponents.
wUnplugthe ACpowercordduringanelectri-
calstorm.
wAvoidpluggingtheACadaptorintothe
sameACoutletasapplianceswithhigh
powerconsumption,suchaselectricheat-
ersorovens.
