phone to avoid accidentally short circuiting the battery contacts.
• Keep the battery contacts clean and free of dirt.
• The battery can be charged/discharged hundreds of times but its
service life is limited. Replace the battery when the battery power has
decreased noticeably.
NETWORK SERVICES AND COSTS
G55 is designed for use when connected to a mobile phone network.
Using network services and SMS may result in traffic costs.
AREA OF USE
• Do not use the phone in prohibited areas.
• Switch the phone off without affecting nearby medical equipment
(e.g. in hospitals).
• Do not use the phone in petrol stations or near fuels and chemicals.
SAFETY
• Prevent exposure to smoke, dust, vibration, chemicals, moisture,
heat and direct sunlight.
• The phone is not waterproof, please keep it dry.
• Only use original accessories and battery. Never attempt to connect
other products.
• Never attempt to connect incompatible products.
• Repairs to this device must be completed by qualified service
personnel.
• Keep the phone and accessories out of the reach of children.
• The SIM card can be removed. Caution! Small children can swallow
them.
• The ringing tone is issued via the loudspeaker. Take an incoming call
first and then hold the phone to your ear. This prevents any possible
hearing damage.
• Use approved handsfree equipment and appropriate holder while
driving. It is essential to observe the applicable national laws and
regulations.
• In addition to all information available in the documentation,
it is recommended to use a handsfree kit. In this case, during
communication, as a precautionary measure it is recommended for
pregnant women to keep the device away from the belly and for
teenagers, away from the lower abdomen.
• Always maintain a distance of at least 15 cm to implanted heart
pacemakers to prevent interference. Do not carry the phone in a
chest pocket when switched on. Always hold the phone to the ear
furthest away from the pacemaker during calls. Switch the phone off
immediately if you notice or suspect any adverse effects. Consult your
doctor if you have any question.
• This phone is hearing aid compatible. If you wear a hearing aid,
please contact your doctor or the hearing aid manufacturer to inquire
about any possible impairments through mobile communication
equipment.
• Do not rely on the mobile phone as a safeguard for emergencies.
For a variety of technical reasons, it is not possible to guarantee a
reliable connection under all circumstances.
• Ensure access to the power adapter plug is not obstructed by
furniture or such.
• Tips to reduce the level of exposure of the user of the smartphone
to radiation (these advice are given as a simple precautionary
measure, no danger associated with the use of mobile phones having
been observed): it is recommended to use the device in good mobile
network reception conditions, to reduce the amount of radiation
received (in an underground car park, when traveling by train or car,
etc.). Good mobile network reception on the device is indicated by
the mobile network signal strength indicator (for example display of
four or five bars on the screen).
• Prioritize the use of data - SMS, Messaging apps, Internet - over
calls.
• Make reasonable use of radio equipment such as the telephone
by children or adolescents (nighttime communications, and limit the
frequency of calls)
• Also be sure to educate them on ways to reduce exposure when
using their mobile. If health effects were demonstrated, children and
adolescents could be more sensitive, since their organism is under
development. Encourage them to use the smartphone in a reasonable
way, for example, by avoiding night calls and limiting the frequency
and duration of calls.
CONDITIONS OF USE
• To optimize the performance of the phone, it is advisable to turn it
off from time to time.
• Be sure to turn off your smartphone on an airplane.
• Be sure to switch off your smartphone in a hospital environment,
except in areas reserved for this purpose. Like other types of common
equipment, mobile phones can interfere with the operation of
electrical, electronic, or radio frequency devices.
• Please consult your doctor and the device manufacturer to see if the
operation of your phone may interfere with the operation of your
medical device.
• Be sure to turn off your phone near gas or flammable liquids.
Observe the rules of use posted in fuel depots, service stations,
chemical factories and on all sites where there could be a risk of
explosion.
• To avoid interference with dynamite blasting operations, turn off
your wireless device when in a blasting area or in areas where notices
are posted requesting that “two-way radios” or “electronic devices”
be turned off.
To avoid damaging your hearing, please limit the time you use
the smartphone at the loudest volume.
