PREPARATION OVERVIEW
BeforeleavingonyourrsttripwithyournewGOEasy,readthe
information in this User Guide very carefully. After reading through the
UserGuide,runthroughthefollowingchecklistatleastonce.(Ifyou
needtoreferenceanyofthesectionstohelpyoualongtheway,there
is an overview at the beginning of each section designed to give you a
quick refresher.)
PRE-TRIP CHECKLIST
Loading: Properly load and secure (with straps) your GO Easy
campingtrailerbycarefullyandevenlydistributingtheweight,
properlyfollowingaccessoryequipment(Thule,Yakima,etc.)
guidelines,andnotexceedingthetrailer’scapacity.(seeTowing
Guidelines)
Wheel Lug Nuts:Checkthetorqueonyourwheelsbeforeyourrst
trip,75-85ftlbs.Theyshouldbecheckedandretorquedaftertherst
10,25and50miles,whenyourGOEasyisnew.(seeSuspension
System)
Tire Ination: Tires leave the factory at the recommended pressure
of30psi.Tohelpinsurethatyoudon’trunintoprematureoruneven
tirewear,alwayscheckthetirepressurebeforeheadingoutonthe
road. (see Suspension System)
Trailer Coupler: Do a visual check to make sure the trailer coupler
issecurelylatchedtothetowvehicle’sballhitchandtheindicator
marker is in the “green/+” section. Make sure that you have a 2” ball.
Make sure the ball is tight and that a proper engagement has been
made. The handle will drop and the indicator will show a “+” symbol
when proper engagement has been made. (see Towing Guidelines)
Electrical: Attachthe4-wireconnectortothetowvehicle’smating
electrical outlet. Check to see that all trailer lights are functioning
properly. Check the connection to the tow vehicle to assure a tight
t.Checkthelightstomakesuretheyarefunctioningproperly
(including brakes and turn signals). Make sure the cable is not close
to or dragging on the ground. (see Electrical System)
Safety Cables: Connect safety cables properly by crossing them
underthetrailer’stongueandfasteningthemtothetowvehicle
chassis or hitch receiver. Make sure there is a positive connection
and that the clip is fully engaged.

PREPARATION
Nowthatyouhavetheultimategearhaulingadventuretrailer,youare
almostreadytohittheroad.Ofcourse,thereareafewthingsyouwill
need to know before you go. Preparation and a good working knowledge
of the GO Easy are very important. Time should be taken to carefully
review everything in the User Guide.
USING THIS USER GUIDE

TOOL KIT
Beforeleavingonyourrsttripitisagoodideatoputtogetheryourown
tool-kit that contains the following items:
• 19mm (3/4”) Lug Wrench or 19mm (3/4”) socket (for lug nuts)
• Socket set with metric sockets (13mm)
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Tire Pressure Gauge
• Electrical Tape
• Duct Tape
Do NOT climb on or get inside the plastic storage box.
Suffocation can occur if a person is locked inside a
storage box.
Be sure to take the tool-kit and User Guide with you
on every trip.
TOWING GUIDELINES
TOWING OVERVIEW
The SylvanSport GO Easy is a remarkably light and well handling trailer.
Below are the key steps for assuring an enjoyable experience and
avoiding potential problems.
• Know the total weight of your GO Easy and the gear you are hauling.
• Qualify your tow vehicle to be sure it is capable of carrying the load.
• Prepare your tow vehicle with a hitch system and electrical system.
(2”ball,at4-wireelectrical)
• Learn and practice the basics of driving with a trailer.
Latches, pins and carabiners: Walk around the GO Easy and
check the pin on the tongue to make sure it is secured properly.
Check the two carabiners on the tailgate and make sure they are
secure. Make sure the set pins which secure the top tailgate bar are
securely fastened. Be sure to secure your load with straps wherever
possible.

PREPARING YOUR TOW VEHICLE
There are two essential areas that need to be addressed in order to
prepareyourvehicletotowyourGOEasy,thehitchsystemandthe
electrical system. This User Guide will not provide information on how
to install either and suggests that you have it done professionally by a
certiedmechanicortrailerserviceprofessional.
In order to properly tow the GO Easy you will need a Class 1 or greater
hitch,withastandard2”ballandat4wirewiringharnessinstalledon
your vehicle. Trailer hitches and wiring harnesses can be installed by
eitheryourselforbyaqualiedthirdpartyinstaller.Thetongueweightof
the GO Easy is approx. 30 lbs.
Keep in mind that careful attention should be paid to avoid damaging the
GOEasy,yourcarorpeople.Driveonalow-trafcroadandgetthe“feel”
ofyourGOEasy.Onceyouarecomfortablegoingforward,turningand
braking,practicebackingup.Backingshouldbedoneslowlytoavoid
jack-kningtheGOEasyanddamagingthehitch.Remember,whenyou
arebackingup,thetrailerwillmoveintheoppositedirectionyouare
turning the steering wheel. Have a friend help you by spotting the trailer
movement.

Firstandforemost,youmustknowifyourvehiclecanhaultheload.It
isextremelyimportantthatyoundoutwhatyourtowvehicle’stowing
capacity is. This is usually listed in the vehicle Users Guide. Once you
know the weight capacity of your tow vehicle it is easy to determine how
much additional gear you can load onto your GO Easy.

MAINTENANCE
Maintenance on the GO Easy suspension system includes visual
inspectionandlubrication.Whenvisuallyinspectingthesystem,check
tomakesurethetiresappeartobefullyandevenlyinated.Alsobe
surethetreadhasn’tworntoanunsafelevel.Theself-lubricatingwheel
bearingsshouldbeproperlylledwithgrease.Thesparetireshouldalso
beinatedtoinsureitisuseableincaseofemergency.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q. What if my tires are severely worn?
A: The 4.80-12, two-ply high speed rated tires can be purchased at
most tire suppliers, and mounted to the wheel by them or at a service
station.
Q. What If I notice a lot of grease on my wheels and axle area?
A: Typically, when you ll your self-lubricating wheel bearings, some
grease will nd it’s way out, this is normal. This will be noticeable on
your wheels and should be cleaned up.
Q. What is the proper grease to use for my wheel bearings?
A: Use only a standard #2 Axle Grease.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM
SUSPENSION SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The GO Easy suspension consists of the torsion axle with self-lubricating
bearingsystem,standardgalvanizedorcustomalloywheels,tiresand
anoptionalsparetire/wheel(standardontheUltimateModel,available
ontheEssentialModel),mountedunderneaththedeck.
TIRES AND WHEELS
TheGOEasyuses4.80-12,two-plyhighspeedratedtiresanda
galvanizedsteeloranaluminumalloywheelwithave-boltpattern.
Properinationshouldbemaintained.SylvanSport recommends
keeping the tires inated to 30 psi for best travel performance.
Checktirewearoccasionallytoavoidgettingaat.Wheelsaresecured
using 1/2” - 20 thread lug-nuts. Ensure lug-nuts are tight according to
recommended schedule.
SPARE TIRE
The GO Easy can be equipped with a spare tire mounted under the deck
intherear.Toremovethesparetire,undothetworetentionboltsand
removefrommountingbracket.Removetheattire/wheelandreplace
with spare. The spare is a smaller diameter tire and wheel and it is not
recommended that you travel far with the spare. Repair the tire and
replace the spare as quickly as possible.
TORSION AXLE
The GO Easy comes equipped with a sophisticated torsion axle system.
Asmootherride,independentwheelsuspension,lessimpacton
components and car are all advantages to this suspension system. The
GO Easy torsion axle requires no maintenance other than lubrication
throughtheself-lubricatingwheelbearings.Thelugnuts,usedtoattach
yourwheelstoyouraxleshouldbecheckedandretorquedaftertherst
10,25and50miles,whenyourGOEasyisnew.Afterthat,youshould
check your lug nuts prior to every trip. Failure to do this could cause
wheel loss and an accident.
SELF- LUBRICATING WHEEL BEARINGS
TheGOEasycomesequippedwithDexterbrand,self-lubricatingwheel
bearings.Usestandard#2axlegrease.Removetheblackdustcap,
attachgreaseguntogreasetting,slowlyinjectgreasewhilerotating
wheel until excess is expelled around perimeter of recess. Wipe off the
excess grease and replace cap.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OVERVIEW
TheGOEasyelectricalsystemconsistsofthe4-wireconnector,themain
cable,2LEDambersidemarkerlamps(front),2LEDredsidemarker
lamps(back),2LEDrearstop/tail/turnlightsandalicenseplatelight
located in the tailgate and connected by a waterproof connector.
PREPARING YOUR TOW VEHICLE
Your tow vehicle simply needs to be wired for a standard 4-wire trailer
connection. This is typically done professionally at the time of your
vehicle tow package installation.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance on the electrical system should include frequent visual
inspections,cleaningandtheoccasionalreplacementoflampbulbs,
should they fail. The lights are very easy to remove and replace and
parts can be purchased through Sylvansport.com. The troubleshooting
section gives more detail on replacing parts.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q. What If none of my lights work at all?
A: Have a professional check the wiring of the tow vehicle to ensure
it’s working properly. Check to be sure there aren’t any cuts, breaks,
etc in the main cable of the GO Easy. If necessary, take it to an
authorized SylvanSport Service Center.
Q. What If one of my side marker lamps is not working?
A: To remove and replace a side marker lamp, simply unscrew the two
screws with a Phillips head screwdriver. Unplug connector and replace
with new lamp. Replace back into plastic housing and screw it back
onto the rear frame or front mounting bracket.
Q. What If one of my stop/tail/turn lamps is not working?
A: To remove and replace a stop/tail/turn lamp, simply unscrew the three
screws with a Phillips head screwdriver. Unplug connector and replace
with new lamp. Replace back into plastic housing and screw it back
onto the rear frame.
GO EASY RACK SYSTEM
RACK SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The GO Easy comes with a square crossrail/load bar rack system and
isdesignedtoacceptmostmajormanufacturersboat,bikeandstorage
rack systems. The load bar system enables you to attach an almost
innitecombinationofboats,bikes,racks,accessoriesandcomponents
to your GO Easy. The GO Easy frame is designed to be compatible with
mostofthemajorrackmanufacturers(Thule,Yakima,etc.)components.
SylvanSport is an authorized Thule dealer and recommends Thule
components,availableattheSylvanSportstoreonsylvansport.com.
LOADING AND DISCONNECTING RACKS
TheGOEasyracksystemisdesignedtocarrybikes,kayaks,boats,
storageboxes,andmore.Alwaysfollowthemanufacturers’instructions
when attaching various rack accessories from the major rack
manufacturers.Neverexceedcombinedmaximumgrossvehicleweight,
as stated on the trailer VIN placard.

MAINTENANCE
Maintenance on the rack system should only require a visual inspection.
Wheninspectingthesystem,checktomakesurethatnoneoftheparts
are damaged or bent and that all the hardware is present and properly
tightened.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q. Will every manufacturers rack system t on the GO Easy?
A: The GO Easy is built with 2” diameter, steel frame members. This
standard size allows for the t of most manufacturers load bar
susytems, from which you can attach all manufacturers boat, bike
and travel accessories.

LONG TERM STORAGE AND WINTERIZATION
A few notes on long term storage: Be sure all the fabric elements are
dry when storing for long periods to discourage mildew from growing. If
youarestoringoutside,besuretocovertheGOEasyadventuretrailer.
Afterlongtermstorage,checkallthecomponentstobesuretheyarestill
ingoodconditionandchecktheinationofthetiresaswell.Rotatethe
wheels periodically to reduce tire degradation. Lubrication of the bearings
should be performed according to instructions in the User Guide.
TheGOEasycanstoretiltedvertically,ontoit’smoldedrearframewhich
takesupconsiderablylessspace.Besuretoremovethelicenseplate,
besuretheoorbeneaththetiltedGOEasyisfreefromobstructionsand
clean,(paddingthisareaisalsoagoodidea).Removethetongueand
hang it on the front marker lamp bracket s shown in the photo.

FRAME
FRAME OVERVIEW
TheGOEasytrailerframeisconstructedfromheavyduty,steeltubing,
giving it a very high strength and light weight. The frame is assembled
withaseriesofboltedconnections.Thenishisadurableelectro-static
powder coated acrylic paint. For more detailed information on the frame
go to www.sylvansport.com.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance on the frame should include frequent visual inspections and
cleaning. Hose off the frame along with the rest of the GO Easy.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q. What If part of the frame gets bent?
A: Depending on the location and extent of the damage, you can order
a replacement part through SylvanSport, by calling (828) 883-4292.
Do not use your trailer, if any frame components are bent!
MAINTENANCE
GENERAL MAINTENANCE OVERVIEW
The GO Easy adventure trailer is designed to give you years of trouble
freeenjoyment.However,propercareisrequiredtoreducethelikelihood
ofbreakdowns,excessivewearandtearormisplacementofcritical
components.
CLEANING
Cleaning the GO Easy is similar to cleaning an automobile. Care should
be taken to avoid using abrasive and corrosive materials and chemicals.
Metal Parts:Whencleaningthepaintedmetalparts,useamild
detergent soap (auto-wash or dish soap) and water solution with a soft
cloth or sponge.
Plastic and Rubber Parts: The tires on the GO Easy adventure trailer
are standard rubber tires and can be washed and treated the same as
anyautomotivetire.TheplasticmoldedpartsareHDPE,ifyourequire
morethanamilddetergentsoap,SylvanSportrecommendsanorange
based cleaner product.

WHEELS AND AXLE
SylvanSport,LLCwarrantstotheoriginalretailpurchaseronlythat
the wheels and axle of the GO Easy adventure trailer will be free from
defects in workmanship and materials for one year (12 months) under
normal use and service or until the vehicle is no longer in the original
retailpurchaser’spossession.Thiswarrantydoesnotapplytorust,
scratches,abrasionsorpaintdamage.Damagesofthisnaturemustbe
reported at the time of retail delivery to be covered by this warranty.
GRAPHICS
SylvanSport,LLCwarrantstotheoriginalretailpurchaseronlythatthe
labels,decalsandvinylappliquesoftheGOEasyadventuretrailer
will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of
90 days after retail delivery. Due to the inability of the manufacturer to
controlhowaunitiscaredfor,washed,waxedstored,etc.wecanonly
offer a 90 day warranty on this material.
This is a LIMITED WARRANTY under Federal Regulations and does
not cover any products/appliances purchased and installed in your GO
Easy. These products may carry separate warranties by their respective
manufacturers.SylvanSport,LLCdoesnotacceptanyresponsibility
in connection with any of its adventure or camping trailers when they
havebeenalteredoutsideofitsownfactory.Misuse,neglect,accident,
loadingbeyondcapacity,useasademonstrator,rentalunit,oranyother
alterations shall void this warranty. We do not assume any responsibility
forlossofuseofvehicle,lossoftime,inconvenience,orexpenses
incurred due to equipment failure.
This warranty does NOT apply to:
This warranty shall not apply to normal maintenance such as: greasing
wheelbearings,tighteninglugnuts,rustprotection/paintmaintenance,
etc.thatthevehiclewillrequire,nortoanydamagesresultingfromthe
failure to have such maintenance performed.
Thiswarrantyshallnotapplytobulbs,valvestemsandminor
imperfectionsintheaesthetics,physicalappearanceoroperationwhichdo
notaffectthesuitabilityofthecampingtrailerforitsintendeduse,suchas,
butnotlimitedtofading,discolorationorsupercialrustingofmetalparts.
This warranty shall not apply to general wear and usage such as fading
ordiscolorationofthetailgate,tears,punctures,soiling,mildew,chipson
panels,effectsofmoisture,condensationinsidethevehicle,mishandling,
neglect,abuse,misuse,lightningorotheractsofnatureorcorrosive
atmospheres. Any of the aforementioned items must be noted at the time of
retail delivery for any warranty coverage.
Problems which may arise due to lack of maintenance or failure to have such
maintenance performed will not be covered by this warranty. This warranty

only,foraperiodof(1)oneyearthateachnewGOEasyadventuretrailer
will be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use
andservice,asdescribedbelow.Themanufacturer’sobligationunderthis
limitedwarrantyislimitedtorepairingorreplacingatitsfactory,orauthorized
dealer,anypartorpartsthereofwhichshall,withintheapplicablewarranty
period,bereturnedtothemanufacturer,withtransportationcharges
prepaid,andwhichuponthemanufacturer’sexaminationshalldiscloseto
itssatisfactiontohavebeendefective.Note:Laborandfreightcharges,
coverage on all limited warranties provided herein are limited to one year (12
months) from the date of the original retail purchase.

Labor and freight charges coverage on all limited
warranties provided herein are limited to 1 year (12
months) from the date of original retail purchase.

electrical system will be free from defects in craftsmanship and materials

SylvanSport,LLCwarrantstotheoriginalretailpurchaseronlythatthe
plastic storage boxes and their frames of the GO Easy adventure trailer will
be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year
(12 months) under normal use and service. This warranty does not apply to
mildew,mold,abrasions,shrinkage,fadingand/orsoiling.Damagesofthis
nature must be reported at the time of retail delivery to be covered by this
warranty.

result in the damage to your vehicle and will void any warranty provided by
SylvanSport,LLC.
This warranty shall not apply to cost incurred in the transportation of
thevehicletoadealerorcostincurredasaresultofthecustomer’s
request to have repairs performed at a location other than an authorized
SylvanSport Service Center (without our express permission.)
Warranty Service
SylvanSport,LLCauthorizesanyandallofouractivedealershipsto
provide warranty service to our SylvanSport product line on items proven
to be substantially defective in material and/or workmanship during the
applicable warranty period. Our authorized dealerships may be located
by visiting www.sylvansport.com
Parts and Design Changes
SylvanSport,LLCreservestherighttomakechangesinitsparts,
components and/or design at any time without notice and without
obligation to make available to the consumer any items or parts
componentswhichithasdiscontinued,aslongasa“suitableforuse
intended” replacement item is made available.
Warranty Registration
ThisSylvanSport,LLCwarrantyisvoidunlessafullycompletedwarranty
registration has been returned to us within 10 days of retail purchase.
THE LIABILITY OF THE MANUFACTURER UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS LIMITED
TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS SPECIFIED ABOVE. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
SHALL BE ONLY AT THE MANUFACTURER’S FACTORY “OR AUTHORIZED DEALER.”
THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE AND COMPLETE WARRANTY MADE BY THE MANUFACTURER.
THE MANUFACTURER MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, AND
DISCLAIMS ANY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OF
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE WARRANTIES.
THIS WARRANTY IS ALSO IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES ON
THE PART OF THE MANUFACTURER. THE LIABILITY OF THE MANUFACTURER UNDER
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE,
LOSS OR USE OF ANY PRODUCT OR OTHER GOOD INCORPORATING OR UTILIZING
THE MANUFACTURER’S CAMPING TRAILER (OR ANY LOSS OF ANY PROFITS
RESULTING THEREFROM), INJURY TO PERSON, OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL,
