02. Product Installation
02. 1. Product Installation
-MDU-2000 Unit
Please install the MDU-2000 by fixing it to the frame of the UAV. Consider the LED indicator on the
front of the main body and install it in the proper direction for use.
-GNSS antennas
Please install the GNSS antennas at both ends of the frame of the UAV. Install the GNSS antenna at the
highest point of the aircraft due to the characteristics of the satellite antenna. The recommended
distance between the two antennas is at least 80 cm.
02. 2. Product connection
-Power connection
Please connect the UAV's battery pack or a separate power source to the LI-PO 3~14S port of the MDU-
2000 using the included power cable. Connect the two red wires of the power cable with + and the two
black wires with
-. GNSS antenna connection
Please connect the installed GNSS antenna to the GNSS 1 and 2 ports of the MDU-2000 unit. GNSS 1
provides the location of the drone, and GNSS 2 provides direction information. The direction is based
on the GNSS 1 to GNSS 2 direction.
-. LTE Antenna connection
Please connect the LTE antenna to LTE port of the MDU-2000.
-. FC connection
After attaching the supplied FC connection cable to the Serial 1 port of the MDU-2000, connect it to
the GPS and UART ports of the FC. Please connect according to the number of pins.

03. Product Operation
03. 1. Initial Operation
-When the power is initially turned on, the RTCM LED blinks rapidly for about 40 seconds. When LTE
connection is completed and correction information starts to be received, it starts blinking in units of
1 second.
-FIX1,2 LED Blinking status
When the MDU-2000 receives the location information and RTCM information both, and then starts
outputting the RTK location information, the FIX LED turns on. Please aware of that Blinks in RTK
Float status and lights up in RTK Fixed status.
* The correction information of MBC RTK is used only for calculating the position information of GNSS 1.
Correction information for GNSS 2 is generated and output by FC based on GNSS 1 as a reference station. See
ArduPilot's Moving Baseline feature for more details.
03. 2. Commissioning Operation and Changing Configuration
*For the information below, follow the procedure below only when verification of MBC RTK reception is
required or when setting changes are required.
*Free A/S is not possible when product setting are changed arbitrarily. If you need to change settings, please
contact us at first.
-Download U-Center Software
Install the U-Center software to check the operation of the product.

-Connection & U-Center
1. Turn on the power of the MDU-2000, and connect the IO-1 on the top of MDU-2000 to the PC via USB.
2. Connect to a recognized port(No need to set Baudrate when connecting via USB)
03. 2. Changing Configuration for external compass
MDU-2000 has built-in RGB LED and COMPASS (Model No. IST8310).
When placing a separate COMPASS sensor outside, disconnect or remove the two I2C1 wires from the
connection cable.

05. How to solve the probem
05. 1. When the power does not come on
The operating current of the MDU-2000 varies according to the LTE radio wave condition (200mA~1500mA).
We recommend using the included cable. If you are using an auxiliary battery for a smartphone, please check
it as the amount of current may be insufficient. We recommend using a battery with sufficient capacity.
05. 2. When SERIAL data does not come
Please check out all parameters for Mission Planner (Refer to 03.4 Update Ardupilot Parameters)
05. 3. When FIX does not work
Please check out GNSS/LTE antennas and power status.
