KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
Electricity and water are a dangerous combination and can
cause death by electric shock. Do not allow electrical cords to
come into contact with water or other liquids.
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES ARE ELECTRICALLY LIVE WHEN
PLUGGED IN, EVEN IF TURNED OFF.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
1. Always unplug the appliance immediately after using.
2. Do not use while bathing.
3. Do not place or store the appliance where it can fall or be
pulled into a bath tub or sink.
4. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
5. If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not
reach into the water.

7. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the
cord around the appliance.
8. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray)
products are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.

manufacturer.

15. Do not touch the roller sockets. They are hot.
16.If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid a hazard.
17. Rollers from the original Voluminous Hot Rollers (Model No.
73701, 73702, 73703, 73704, 73705, 73706, 73707) are not
compatible with the Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe base.
Do not use the appliance near a bath tub, washbasin
or other vessel filled with water. Never place the
appliance in water or any other liquid.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
VOLUMIZING HOT ROLLERS LUXE
1. Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. It contains no
user serviceable parts, and no lubrication is needed.
2. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt & hairspray.
3. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance
from the power source and let it cool. Wipe the exterior with a
damp cloth.
4. If any malfunction occurs, unplug the appliance, allow it to
cool and return it to a service center to repair.
5. Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will
cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. If the cord
becomes twisted, untwist it prior to use.
6. Handle the cord carefully for longer life and do not put any
stress on the cord where it enters the handle. Avoid jerking,
twisting or straining especially at the plug connections. It
could cause the cord to fray and possibly break.
7. When not in use, your hot rollers should be disconnected and
stored in a safe, dry location, out of the reach of children. Do
not wrap the cord around the hot rollers set.
8. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.

This appliance is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Current (50/60 Hz).
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Do not touch the roller sockets that hold the rollers or the roller
surfaces. They are hot.

AUTO SHUT-OFF
After approximately 90 minutes, the unit will automatically shut
itself off. To reactivate the unit, press the Power & Temperature
Adjustment Button.
AUTO WORLD VOLTAGE
This appliance contains a special electronic circuit that
automatically converts it for worldwide usage from 120V, 60Hz
to 240V, 50Hz. Just plug it into the local power outlet and use
it as normal; the styler will automatically adjust to the local
current. You may need an adapter to allow the plug to fit into
the local outlets.
Note: Tool heat up time may vary based on country and voltage.

BEFORE YOU START
VOLUMIZING HOT ROLLERS LUXE
CHOOSE A STYLE
Determine whether you want bouncy, voluminous waves or
loose, textured waves and follow the appropriate steps to
achieve the look.
PREP YOUR HAIR
Apply the appropriate styling products for your hair type and
desired results. For example, root lift spray, texturizing powder
and volumizing mousse can help create more volume.
SECTION YOUR HAIR
Always start with dry, detangled hair, divided into 1-2” wide
sections. For best results, follow the natural part of your hair
when sectioning.
SELECT THE RIGHT ROLLER SIZE
Use the smaller diameter rollers for shorter sections of hair and
larger diameter rollers for longer sections. 1.5 revolutions around
the roller creates a C curve while 3 or more revolutions creates
a curl or wave.

Note: Each time you turn on the hot rollers, it will heat up to
your last set temperature.

heat setting upon first
use, indicated by 2

To change the temperature
to the Low heat setting, press
the Power & Temperature
Adjustment Button until the
lights blink to indicate the
temperature adjustment
mode. Click again to select
the low heat setting,
indicated by 1 light. Release
the button and allow the
blinking light to turn solid.

When the Ready-to-Use
indicators appear, the rollers
are ready to use.
Working from ends to roots,
roll each 1-2” sections of hair
around a roller. Secure the
clip by placing the longer
teeth beneath the roller for
a more secure hold. Allow
the rollers to set for 10-20
minutes before removing
them.
Expert Tip: To maximize hold, ensure the hair sections are
appropriate for the selected roller size. Sectioning will vary
based on length and thickness of hair.

To create volume at the
roots, pull the section in the
opposite direction of hair
growth before wrapping it
firmly around the roller.
To preserve the volume,
gently unroll the hair in the
reverse direction when you
take the roller out and place
the section down carefully
to cool.
Rake fingers through hair to

For a beachy look, roll the
side sections away from the
face and clip them at an
angle.
Remove the rollers using a
spiraling motion. This will
create a more textured,
relaxed effect.
Allow all sections to cool,
then finger comb waves to
achieve desired finish.
