forallmeasureddemand,maximumandminimumarchieving,italsodoesallthesynchronization
oftheaveragingofallmeasurements.

spanof5,10or15minutes.ThesearedisplayedontheLCDbypressingthedemandbutton.
Max-undMin-PeakParameter
ThePM-30enhancedversionmeasuresandstoresthehighestandthelowestcurrentandvoltage
peaks(2secondsmeanaveragevalue)storedwiththetime,dayanddateinthenonvolatile
memoryautomatically.ThesecanbeviewedontheLCDfromthecorrespondingbutton.
ThePM-30Eisanefficientdigitalelectricalmultimeter.Itcanmeasureanddisplayupto120
electricalparametersusingtrueRMSmeasurement.ThePM-30Eisidealforallkindofinstallation
onlow,mediumandhighvoltageswitchgearandinsidecontrolrooms,wherepreciseand
reliablemeasuringdeviceisalwayswantedforpowergeneration,sub-stationsandenergy
management.
ThePM-30EishousedinaswitchboardcaseaccordingtoDIN43700withacompactsize
144x144x75mm.Itsshallowdepthof75mminclusiveofterminalsmakesiteasytoinstallitin
shallowpanels.ThePM-30EisdesignedwithlargeLCDtodisplaylargetexts.Themoduleis
designedtowithstandoperatingtemperaturesupto70C.Thewiringofthemoduleisviapluggable
terminals.OnrequestthePM-30EcanbedeliveredforDINRailmounting.
Setupandoperationofthemoduleismadeeasyusing15buttonsmembranekeyboard.Eachof
themajorparameterhasitsownbuttondesignatedbyitsmathematicalsymbol.Thismakesiteasy
todirectlygototherequiredpararmetersandavoidscrollingupanddown.
Thesetuppageisuserfriendly.ThroughwhichtheCTandVTratioscanbeset.Whenthemodule
isfittedwithRealtimeclock(RTC)itisalsopossibletosetuptheclockandthecalendar.The
modulelanguagecanalsobeselectedfromthesetuppage(eitherEnglishorGerman).
Max-andMin-DemandParameter
ThePM-30Eenhancedversionhasthecapabilitytomeasureanddisplaytheminimumandthe
maximumdemandvalueofallthe28mainparameters.Thisgivestotalof56values.Thevalues
arestoredautomaticallyinthenonvolatilememory,whichcanbeviewedontheLCDbypressing
thecorrespondingbuttons.

Long-termmemory
Thelongtermbigmodulememorygivestheusertheabilitytoselectuptothreedifferentmean
demandmeasurementvaluessynchronously.ThisisintegratedwiththeRTCinto5,10or15
minutestimeforaweekinterminably.Thestoreddatacanatthearbitrarytimebedownloadedfrom
thePM-30EtothePCandthencanbedistributedonspreadsheetsandthecurvescanbeplotted.
Forexampletheusercangettheloadprofile[kW]ofaconsumer/plantinweekvieworhecan
analyzethedataoverachosenintervaloftime..

ThePM-30EisequippedwithPCbus(RS422/RS485)serialinterfacewithonedefault.PCbus
interfaceknowsabouttheseuptothe250PM-30Eequipmentinabusnetworkbeingconnectedto
aNetwork/connectedeachother.Thecommunicationbecomeswiththesoftwareprogram
PM-30NETsteeredbyaPC.Twodifferentwaysofcommunicationareattheuser'sdisposal:
