READ INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE BEGINNING
1. If using this product with residential door openers, this product must be used only with
door openers manufactured after 1993 utlilze photoelectric sensors. The photoelectric sen-
sors are always located on or near the bottom of the door track.
2. To reduce the risk of SEVERE INJURY to persons: DO NOT enable your iQ3 Universal
Garage Door Controller if operating either one-piece garage door or swinging doors. The
Tailwind iQ3 is only to be enabled on a sectional type garage door.

YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER. WE SUGGEST YOU MOUNT IT ON THE CEILING JUST
ABOVE THE DOOR OPENER. IT MUST BE WITHIN THE DISTANCE OF THE INCLUDED
WHITE WIRE AS THIS WHITE WIRE CONNECTS TO YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER.


ITY TO THESE, SO IT DOES NOT MATTER WHICH TAILWIND CONTROL WIRE YOU CON
NECT TO WHICH SHORT BLACK WIRE ON THE ADAPTOR.


A RED TERMINAL AND WHITE TERMINAL BESIDE EACH OTHER. CONNECT THE RED
WIRE TO THE RED TERMINAL AND THE WHITE WIRE TO THE WHITE TERMINAL. THE
BUTTON SHOULD FLASH IF YOU HAVE MADE THE CONNECTIONS PROPERLY. ONCE
THESE CONNECTION ARE MADE, BE CAREFUL!!! IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY PRESS THE
BUTTON, YOUR GARAGE DOOR MAY OPEN OR CLOSE!

INCLUDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE.

PRESS THE BUTTON ON THE ADAPTOR A FEW TIMES UNTIL IT OPENS OR CLOSES
YOUR GARAGE DOOR.
YOUR INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE. YOU CAN NOW OPEN CLOSE YOUR GARAGE
DOOR USING YOUR TAILWIND SYSTEM.
