DAILY OPERATION WITH BANG & OLUFSEN REMOTES
Go to ”Older Bang & Olufsen Remotes” if there is no colored keys on your remote.
O Press to select. Press and hold for 1 second.
OO Press twice to select. Mouse double-click.
QSelect Source, DAB+, FM, Bluetooth etc.
E BACK to previous screen.
WFavorite Channel List.
OWSave actual radio channel as Favorite wait 2 second
m Setup menu.
0–9Select a preset channel.
wStand by key.

Press repeatedly.
AS Maneuver in menus or volume level.

GET STARTED –QUICK GUIDE
This User Manual is intended for the daily use of the tuner. See the Installation Manual for
installation.
Advanced OneRemote circuitry has been added to this tuner, OneRemote DabFmBlue5, enabling it
to be part of a remotely controlled Bang & Olufsen system. Complete control is obtained with a
Bang & Olufsen remote control terminal.
•DabFmBlue5 is a beo-compatible tuner.
•DabFmBlue5 may be controlled by any Bang & Olufsen system remote terminal from 1988
and on.
DabFmBlue5 may be connected to any
Bang & Olufsen system and controlled
directly by Bang & Olufsen remotes.
When switching on the DabFmBlue5 with a
Bang & Olufsen remote the Bang & Olufsen
system is switched on too and the input with
the DabFmBlue5 automatically selected.
If the DabFmBlue5 is to be used only for
handling DAB+, FM channels or music via
Bluetooth, no further installation is required.
DabFmBlue5 is connected to the system input
that is selected by pressing AMEM or ATAPE
on the Bang & Olufsen remote.
If the Bang & Olufsen system has no AMEM or ATAPE operated input available, the DabFmBlue5
needs to be connected to a different input socket and reprogramming of the DabFmBlue5 is
required accordingly. See the Installation Manual.
•Bang & Olufsen link-systems do not only allow for listening to system sources from the
main room from any connected link room, but also for controlling them remotely. Thus,
a link connected kitchen speaker plays music from the main room. DabFmBlue5 may be
part of that system, controlled via WiFi. See the Installation Manual.

PRESETS - FAVORITE CHANNELS
Enter favorite channels as presets selectable by pressing single digits on a Bang & Olufsen remote.
A total of 30 presets are available each for FM, DAB+ and Internet Radio each. Presets may be
changed at any time with the Bang & Olufsen remote.

•Press yor bTo power on DabFmBlue5 and the B&O radio. *1
•Press Qrepeatedly until DAB is shown in the display.
PRESETS
•To select a preset DAB+ channel, simply press a digit 0–9.
•Press Wto get a list of the preset channels.
The preset number and the quality of the antenna signal are displayed at the very bottom of the
display.

•To select a preset FM program, simply press a digit 0–9.
•Press Wto get a list of the preset channels.
The preset number and the signal quality are displayed at the very bottom of the display.

BLUETOOTH
Selecting the Bluetooth mode makes it possible to play music from any paired smartphone, tablet,
or other device, via the DabFmBlue5 and the Bang & Olufsen system. *1
•Press yor bTo power on DabFmBlue5 and the B&O radio. *2
•Press Qrepeatedly until Bluetooth is shown in the display.
In the Bluetooth mode all control of the music is handled directly on the transmitting smartphone,
tablet or any other Bluetooth connected device.
Playback status and the signal quality are displayed at the very bottom of the display.

*1 PAIRING A BLUETOOTH DEVICE TO DABFMBLUE5
For a smartphone, tablet or any other bluetooth device to be able to send music to the
DabFmBlue5, it must be paired with DabFmBlue5.
Pairing is only needed initially, as DabFmBlue5 will remember the bluetooth device.
To pair a bluetooth transmitter with DabFmBlue5:
1. Select the bluetooth mode, as described above.
2. Go to the Setup Menu on the transmitting device and look for the bluetooth menu.
3. Shortly after selecting bluetooth, the DabFmBlue5 will show up in the menu as DIGITRADIO
10 IR. Select this and music played on the device can be listened to via the Bang & Olufsen
system.

OLDER BANG & OLUFSEN REMOTES
The DabFmBlue5 tuner may be controlled by all Bang & Olufsen system remotes.
Through the years Bang & Olufsen has marketed various models, where keys have been added or
removed. Some keys have just changed names.
As an example, the Pkey has been replaced by the Okey.
If the remote does NOT have aOkey or a small joystick, control the DabFmBlue5 tuner in
accordance with below tables.
