Locks

Electrical Connection

Neverunplug the refrigeratorbypulling the powercord.Alwaysgrip the plug firmlyand pullstraightoutfromthe
receptacle.

technician installanoutletnear the appliance. Useof an extensioncordcan negativelyaffect theperformanceofthe unit.

ClimateRange
The information abouttheclimaterangeofthe applianceisprovided ontheratingplate.It indicatesatwhichambient

(proper).

Locks
If yourRefrigeratorisfittedwithalock,keepthekeyoutofreachandnotinthevicinityoftheappliancetopreventchildren
beingentrapped.When disposing of an old Refrigerator, breakoff anyold locks or latchesasasafeguard.
Freon-free
The freon-free refrigerant(R600a)andthe foaming insulationmaterial (cyclopentane)thatis environmentallyfriendlyare
usedfortherefrigerator,causingnodamagetotheozone layerandhavinga verysmallimpactontheglobal
warming.R600aisflammable,and sealed in arefrigerationsystem,withoutleakageduringnormal use.But,incaseof
refrigerantleakage due tothe refrigerantcircuitbeing damaged,be suretokeepthe applianceawayfromopenflames
and open the windowsfor ventilation asquicklyaspossible.
INTRODUCTION
Installation location
1.Ventilation condition
The position you selectfortherefrigeratorinstallationshouldbe well-ventilated and haslesshotair. Donotlocatethe
refrigeratornearaheatsourcesuchascooker,boiler, and avoiditfromdirectsunlight, thusguaranteeingthe
refrigerationeffectwhilesavingenergyconsumption.Donotlocatetherefrigerator in thedampplace,soastoprevent
the refrigeratorfromrusting andleaking electricity.Theresultofthe totalspaceofthe roomin whichthe refrigeratoris
installed beingdivided bytherefrigerantcharge amount of therefrigerator shallnotbe lessthan 8g/ M3.
Note:The amount of refrigerant chargedforthe refrigerator can be found on the nameplate.
2. Heat dissipationspace
When working, the refrigerator givesoff heattosurroundings. Therefore, at least 30mm of free spaceshould be spared
at the top side,morethan100mm onbothsides,and above50mmatthe backsideof the refrigerator.。

3.Level ground
Placethe refrigerator on the solid and flatground (floor) tokeep it stable, orelse, it will giverisetovibration and noise.
Whenthe refrigeratorisplaced on suchflooring materialsascarpet, strawmat, polyvinylchloride,the solid backing plates
should beapplied underneaththe refrigerator,soastoprevent colorchange due toheat dissipation.
Unobstructedventilationshall be maintainedaroundtheappliance orinanembeddedstructure.
Preparationsforuse
1.Standingtime
Afterthe refrigeratoris properlyinstalledand well cleaned,do notswitchitonimmediately.Makesuretoenergizethe
refrigeratoraftermorethan1hour ofstanding,soastoensureitsnormaloperation.
2. Cleaning
Confirmthe accessorypartsinsidethe refrigerator andwipe the insidewithasoftcloth.
3. Power-on
Insert the plug intothe solid sockettostart thecompressor.After1hour,openthe freezerdoor,ifthe temperatureinside
the freezer compartment dropsobviously, it indicatesthe refrigeration systemisworking normally.
4.Storage offood
Afterthe refrigeratorrunsforaperiodoftime,theinternaltemperatureoftherefrigeratorwill beautomaticallycontrolled
accordingtothe user’stemperaturesetting.Afterthe refrigeratorisfullycooled,putinfoods,whichusuallyneed2~3
hourstobe fullycooled.Insummer,when thetemperatureis high,ittakesmorethan4hoursforthefoodstobe fully
cooled (Trytoopentherefrigerator door aslessaspossible beforethe internaltemperaturecoolsdown).
If therefrigeratorisinstalledin themoistureplace,makesuretocheckwhetherthegroundwireandleakagecircuit
breakerarenormal.If vibration noisesareproduced duetotherefrigeratorcontacting the wall orifthe wall getsblackened
byairconvectionaroundthecompressor,movetherefrigeratorawayfromthe wall.Settingup therefrigerator maycause
jammingnoiseorimagechaostothemobile phone,fixed-line telephone,radioreceiver,televisionsetsurrounding it, so
trytokeep therefrigerator asfar awayaspossible in suchcase.
START
Testing
1. Cleanthepartsoftherefrigeratorwithlukewarmwatercontaining alittleneutraldetergentandwithclearwater,and
wipe themdry.
Notes: Electricpartsof the refrigerator can onlybe wipedbydrycloth.
2.Turnthe thermostatknobtothe "4"position,turnon electricity.The compressorand the lightinside the refrigeratorbegin
towork.
3.Closethedoor30 minuteslater,ifthe temperaturein the freezercompartmentdecreased obviously,itshowsthatthe
refrigeratorsystemworks well.Whentherefrigeratoroperatesforaperiodoftime,the temperaturecontrollerwill
automaticallysetthe temperaturewithin limitsitopens.
4.If theabovestepsaresuccessful, the trial operationsfinish.The refrigerator works normally.
Adjusting the temperature
The temperatureof the appliancecan be adjustedbyturningthe thermostat dial.
•The thermostat can beset between 1and7.
•1is the warmestsetting.
•7is the coldest setting.
•The recommendedsettingis 4.
•Setthe dialto0toturnoff thecoolingfunction.
Internaltemperatureofthe appliancecanvarybased onambienttemperature,the quantityof items
storedandhowfrequentlythedoor isopened.
Fast Freeze
1.Fast freezing makeswaterinthe foodformintofine icecrystal,soastopreventthecell membranefrombeing
damaged and the cytoplasmfrombeinglost when thawing, thuspreserving the original freshnessandnutritionoffood.
2.Freshfood and fishtobe preserved for alongtimeshouldbe frozenin afastmanner. Torealizefastfreezing, please
adjust theknob switchtomode"7"beforeadding thefood.
3. Afterfast freezing, turnthe knob backtoitsoriginalmode (Ingeneral,the fast freezing timeshall notexceed 4hours).
IN USE
1.The appliancemightnotoperateconsistently(possibilityofdefrostingofcontentsortemperaturebecoming too warmin

Tipsforkeeping food perfect inthe Fridge
Take extracarewithmeat andfish
Cooked meatsshouldalwaysbe stored on a shelfaboverawmeatstoavoid bacterial transfer.Keeprawmeatsonaplate
whichis largeenoughtocollect juicesandcover it withclingfilmor foil.
Leavespace around food
ThisallowscoldairtocirculatearoundtheFridge,ensuringallpartsoftheFridge arekeptcool.
Wrap upfood!
Toprevent transfer offlavorsand dryingout, foodshould beseparatelypackedorcovered.Fruitand vegetablesneed not
be wrapped.
Pre-cookedfood shouldbe cooled properly
Allowpre-cookedfood tocooldownbeforeplacing intheFridge.Thiswill help tostop theinternaltemperatureofthe

Shut the door!
Toprevent coldairescaping,trytolimitthenumberof timesyou openthedoor.Whenretuningfromshopping,sort foods

Thisis knownas performing”Pourthe liquid intoapolythenebag whichisinside asquaresidedcontainer.Freezeitlike
this,thenremoveitfromthecontainer and sealthebag.
Howtousethe ice-makingbox
Placethe ice-makingbox in the upperpositionof thefreezercompartment,sothat it icesup assoonaspossible.
Recommended storageperiods
For recommended foodstoragetime, refer totheinformation given onyour food packaging.
Defrosting
After aperiodofuse, athinlayer of frost will be formedonthefreezercompartmentinner wall (orevaporator) surface,
whichmayaffectthe refrigeration effectif exceeding 5mminthickness.Insuchcase, you need togentlyscrape the frost
off using an icescraperratherthan themetal orsharphardware.Frostsneed tobe cleared off every3monthsorso,and if
the normal useofdrawersandnormalaccessoffoodsareaffectedbyfrosting,makesuretoremovethe frostsinatimely
manner. Followthe following stepstoremovefrosts:
1.Takeout thefrozenfoods,shut offthemainspower supply, opentherefrigerator door, andgentlyremovethe frosts
fromthe inner wall withanicescraper. Tospeedup the thawing process, you aresuggestedtoplaceabowlof hot water
inside the refrigerator/freezer, and when the solid icefrostsbecomeloose,useanice scrapertoscrape themoff and then
takethemout.
2. Afterdefrosting,clean the refrigerator/freezer inside,and switchonthe power supply.
Cleaning insidetheFridge/Freezer
Afterdefrostingyoushouldclean the Fridge/Freezerinternallywithaweaksolutionofbicarbonateofsoda.Then rinse
withwarmwater usingadampsponge or clothandwipe dry.Washthe basketsinwarmsoapywater and ensuretheyare
completelydrybeforereplacingin the Fridge/Freezer.Condensation will formonthe back wall ofthe Fridge;howeverit
will normallyrun downthe backwall andintothedrain hole behindthesalad bin.
The drainholewill havea cleaningspike”inserted intoit.Thisensuresthat small piecesofffoodcannotenterthe drain.
Afteryou have cleaned the inside ofyour Fridge and removed anyfood residuesfromaroundthewhole, usethe cleaning
spike”tomakesurethat thereareno blockages.
Cleaning outside theFridge/Freezer
Usestandardnon-abrasivedetergentdilutedinwarmwater toclean the Fridge/Freezer exterior.
The grilleofthe condenserat the backof the Fridge/Freezerand the adjacentcomponentscan be vacuumed using asoft
brushattachment.
Donot useharshcleaners, scouringpadsor solventstocleananypartof the Fridge/Freezer
TROUBLESHOOTINGAND MAINTENANCE
TroubleShooting
Powercut
If the internaltemperatureofthe Fridge/Freezercompartmentis -18℃or lesswhen the powerreturns,yourfood issafe.
The food in yourFridge/Freezerwill remainfrozen forapprox16 hourswiththedoorclosed.Donotopenthe
Fridge/Freezerdoormorethan necessary.
The Fridge/Freezerisexceptionallycold
You mayhaveaccidentallyadjustedthethermostatcontrol dial toahigherposition.
The Fridge/Freezerisexceptionallywarm
The compressormaynotbe working.Turnthe thermostatcontrol dialtothemaximumsetting and waitafewminutes.If
thereis nohummingnoise,itisnotworking. Contact the local storewhereyourpurchasewasmade.
The Fridge/Freezerisnotworking
Checkitis plugged in and switchedon. Checkthat thefuseinthe plughasnot blown. Plug
Inanotherappliance,suchasalamp,tosee ifthe socketis working.The Fridge/Freezershouldbeplacedinawell
ventilated room.Leavethe Fridge/Freezer for30 minutes.
Condensation appearson theoutside of the Fridge/Freezer
Thismaybe due toachange inthe roomtemperature.Wipe off anyresidueof moisture. If the problemcontinuescontact
the localstorewhereyourpurchasewasmade.
GURGLING, WHOOSHING
Thesenoisesarecaused bythecirculationoftherefrigerantliquid in thecooling system.It hasbecomemorepronounced
sincethe introduction of CFC free gases.Thisisnotafaultand will notaffect theperformanceof your Fridge/Freezer.
HUMMING, PURRINGOR PULSATING
Thisis the compressor motorworking, asitpumpsthe refrigerant aroundthesystem.
Moving the Fridge/Freezer
Location
DonotplaceyourFridge/Freezernearaheatsource,eg.Cooker,boilerorradiator.Also avoid directsunlightin
out-buildingsorsunlounges.
LevelingtheFridge/Freezer

Makesurethe Fridge/Freezerislevel.Usetherotatinglevelingfeetatthe front.If the Fridge/Freezerisnotlevel,thedoors
and magneticseal alignmentswill be affected and maycauseyour Fridge/Freezer toworkincorrectly.
Donot turnontheFridge/Freezer for 4hours
After theFridge/Freezer isinplaceitneedstobe left for 4hours.Thisallowstimefor thecoolanttosettle.
Installation
Don’tcover orblock the ventsor grillesof yourappliance.
NOTE:When the environmentishigh temperatureand high humidity,if opening the refrigeratordoortoo often,
therewill be somefrostat thebackoffridgepart(insideof refrigerator)and the waterinwatertray(located ontop

Changing the light
1. Beforecarrying outthebulb replacementalwayspressandturnthethermostatcontrol to dial toposition OFF”,

2. Hold andlift upthelightbulbcover.
3. Removetheoldbulb byunscrewing it inan anti-clockwise direction.
4. Replacewithanewbulb (Max.10W) byscrewing itin aclockwise direction marking surethatitis securein the bulb
holder.
5. Refit thelightcover and re-connect yourFridge/Freezer tothemainssupplyandswitchon.
