Safety Precautions
Power Source
Always use the provided AC adaptor.
Operateonlyfromthepowersourcespecied
on the AC adaptor.
The power adaptor may become hot during
normal operation. This is not a malfunction.
Please make sure that the adaptor is not
covered while in operation. Leave a space
of 15 cm (minimum) around the AC adaptor.
The rating information and safety caution of the
AC adaptor are provided on the adaptor.
WARNING: When the set is not in use for a long
time, disconnect from the power.
Power Cord
Do not place the unit, a piece of furniture, etc., on
the power cord (mains lead), or pinch the cord.
Handle the power cord by the plug. Do not pull
out the plug by tugging the cord and never touch
the power cord when your hands are wet as
this could cause a short circuit or electric shock.
Never make a knot in the cord or tie it with other
cords. The power cords should be routed in such
a way that they are not likely to be stepped on. A
damagedpowercordcancausereorgiveyou
an electrical shock. Check the power cord once
inawhile.Whenyounditdamaged,askclosest
service agent for help. When the AC power cord
needs to be changed, it should be done at a
qualiedserviceshoponly.
•Please do not place the set in a place subject to
direct sun light, excessive dust or mechanical
shock or in a location near heat sources.
•The set should be placed on a solid and safe
base. Do not place the apparatus on a soft
surface such as a rug that might block the
ventilation holes on the bottom.
•A location such as a room with high humidity
should not be selected as the condensation,
arising in the kitchen for example, may cause
malfunction or damage the set.
•Heating or other thermal radiation under the
set also may cause malfunction or damage
the set.
•The hot air, which arises during the operation,
should be ventilated with sufficient air
circulation. Please do not put the set into
closed areas and do not cover it.
•Please avoid the contact of the set with water
or humidity. Do not put into operation near
bath, swimming pools.
•Take care to provide a good air circulation.
Place the apparatus in a location with adequate
ventilation to prevent heat build-up in the
apparatus.
•If any solid object or liquid falls into the cabinet,
unplug the apparatus and have it checked by
aqualiedpersonnelbeforeoperatingitany
further.
Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or

as vases shall be placed on the apparatus.
The mains plug is used as the disconnect
device. The disconnect device shall remain

Remote Control
First open the battery cover on the underside of the remote control. Put in both batteries 1.5Volt
(RO3/AAA) referring to the imprinted symbols (+/-) in the battery case and put on the battery
cover again. While using the remote control, direct it towards the front side of the receiver. If
the remote control does not work or the chosen function does not work, the batteries are most
probably exhausted and they should be replaced as soon as possible. Please use only the leak
proof batteries. It is best to remove the batteries from the remote unit if you will not be using the
remote control unit for long time.

You can connect the set top box to your TV by using the scart socket or HDMI input. Use a scart or
HDMI cable to connect the set top box to your TV. HDMI technology will provide you high quality
picture performance. To get the best HD quality, TV connection via HDMI is advised.

Power Connection
IMPORTANT: This set top box is designed to operate on 12V DC. For this, an adaptor is used
which gives 12 V voltage. Connect this adaptor to a system that supplies 220-240 V AC, 50/60Hz.
After unpacking, allow the set-top box to reach the ambient room temperature before you connect
the set to the mains.
Note: If a car cigarette lighter socket power plug adaptor is going to be used, it should be noted that if the
output voltage reduces to lower than 12V, a smartcard error can be caused.

Be sure that you put through all the cable connections. After plugging in the power adaptor cord
of the set-top-box to the mains supply, a LED will be seen on the front panel (Standby mode).
Whentheset-top-boxisrstpowereduppleasewaitforawhilebeforeactivatingthereceiver
since booting of software will take some time. Then, you can turn on your digital set-top box by
pressing the standby button on the remote control. You will see that the LED on the front panel
will change (Power on mode).
Auto Power Down:
This box will automatically be switched from active mode into standby mode, after less than four
hours in active mode, following the last user interaction and/or a channel change with an alert
message two minutes before going to standby mode. The Automatic power-down will be set as
default and the user will be able to change Automatic power down to on or off in the menu

USB Connection
•You can connect a USB hard disc drive or USB memory stick to your box by using the USB input.
ThisfeatureallowsyoutoplaylesstoredinaUSBdrive.
•2.5” and 3.5” inch (hdd with external power supply) external hard disk drives are supported.
IMPORTANT !
•Youmaybackupyourlesbeforemakinganyconnectionstotheboxinordertoavoidany
possibledataloss.Notethatmanufacturerwillnotberesponsibleforanyledamageordataloss.
•It is possible that certain types of USB devices (e.g. MP3 Players) or USB hard disc drives/
memory sticks may not be compatible with this device.
IMPORTANT: The device supports only FAT32 disk formatting. NTFS format is not supported. If
you connect a USB disc with NTFS format, you will be asked to format the content.
USB Disc Connection
•Plug your USB device to the USB input of the box.
Note: Plug or unplug your USB disc while the box is switched off.
If you are going to connect a USB hard disc drive to the box, USB connection cable used between the disk
drive and the box should have a USB logo and be as short as possible.

•Plugging and unplugging USB devices swiftly is a hazardous operation. Plugging and unplugging
repeatedlymaycausephysicaldamagetothe•USBplayerandtheUSBdeviceitself.

First Time Installation
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the aerial is con-
nected before switching on the set top box
for the rst time.
When the box is switched on from stand-by
mode and if there is no channel stored in the
database, Installation Guide Menu window will
bedisplayedonthescreen.Intherstmenu
screen, menu language will be asked.
By pressing the “ ” or “ ” button highlight the
language you want to set. Press OK or highlight
Channel Search and press “ ” button on the
remote to start searching for channels.
The box will search available stations. The
progress bar will move along the line. You
should allow the set top box to complete the
search to store all available stations.
Note: You can press EXIT button to cancel or MENU
button to skip Installation process.
Menu System
Press the MENU button to access the main
menu.
You can move between menus by using the
directional ( / / / ) buttons on the remote
control.
Youcanenter,selectorconrmamenuoption
by using OK button.
In some sub-menus, you can use EXIT or BACK
button to return to a previous menu screen.
To exit from a menu screen, you can press
MENU button.
The following items can be accessed through
the main menu screen:

Program
Press MENU button to view the main menu. Select
Program item by using / button. Press OK or
button and highlight Program Edit. Press OK or
button. You will be asked to enter the password.
Default password is set as 0000.Programme Edit
menu will be displayed.
Note: You can directly press OK button to view All TV
List.
Press “ ”/“ ” button to select the channel that
will be processed. Press / buttons to switch
between All Radio and All TV channels lists.
Press BLUE button to delete selected channel.
Press YELLOW button to lock selected channel.
Press GREEN button to mark as skip. This
channel will be skipped while changing the
channels using the Programme +/- buttons.
Press SWAP button to rename selected channel.
Press FAV button to mark channels as favourites.
Press EXIT/BACK button to save and exit.
Deleting Channels
Select the channel that you want to delete and
press BLUE button. A message will be displayed
toconrmyourdecision.PressOK to delete the
selected channel, press EXIT to to cancel.
Renaming Channels
Select the channel that you want to rename and
press SWAP button. Virtual keyboard will be
displayed. Use the directional buttons to navigate
through the virtual keyboard and press OK button
tomakeselections.Whennished,highlightOK
from left side on the virtal keyboard and press OK
button on the remote to save the new name. Press
EXIT to cancel editing or highlight Cancel on the
keyboard and press OK.
Adding Locks to Channels
Select the channel that you want to lock and press
YELLOW button to lock/unlock the channel. Lock
symbol will be displayed next to the selected
channel.
Note: Default PIN code is 0000 and it can be
changed from the System >Set Password menu.

Navigating The Whole Channel List
In the channel table “ ”/“ ” buttons serve for
moving the focus to the previous or next channel.
Towatchaspecicchannel,highlightitusing“
”/“ ” buttons and press OK. Then the name and
number of the selected channel will be displayed
on the screen. If the selected channel is password
protected, a pop up menu will be displayed. If the
correct code is entered, the selected channel can
be watched. Also you can select another channel
by navigating with “ ”/“ ” buttons. The scroll Bar
in the middle of the screen shows relative position
of the currently visible channels with respect to the
whole list.
Favorite List
Favorite channel list provides an easy way
to group programmes in a customizable way.
Using the Program>Program Edit menu you
can add or remove channels to the favorite list.
Press FAV button on the remote to open
Favorite List. You can change the position of
the channels in the list. Highlight the desired
channel and press the RED button. Use the “
”/“ ”buttons to reposition the channel and press
OKbuttontoconrm.
Program Guide (EPG)
To display Program Guide press the EPG button
on the remote. The Program Guide can be
reached from the Program>EPG menu. You can
get Information of the programs weekly by means
of 7-DAY–EPG.
•Press “ ” / “ ” buttons to navigate through
channels.
•Press “ ” / “ ” buttons to navigate through
the events of the selected channel.
Please note that event information is updated
automatically. If there is no event information
available, only program names and dates are
displayed.
Set Reminder/ Cancel Reminder
Press OK or INFO button to open Schedule
menu. You can add reminders for selected events
using this menu options. You can also edit or
delete previously added reminders on the list.
Highlight a reminder from the list. Press GREEN
button to edit and BLUE button to delete the
selected reminder. Press EXIT/BACK button to
return to the Program Guide menu.
Picture
Press the MENU button and select Picture from
the list using the “ ” / “ ” buttons on the remote.
Press OK or “ ” button to enter.Two options are
available: Aspect Ratio, Resolution.
Aspect Ratio
The channels can be broadcast in a widescreen
format which must be output differently to
normal and wide screen set top box sets.
Thisfunctiondenesthescreenformatofthe
connected TV to enable broadcasts’ being
displayed correctly.
You can set Aspect Ratio between Auto, 16:9
PillarBox, 16:9 Pan&Scan, 4:3 Letter Box, 4:3
Pan&Scan, 4:3 Full or 16:9 Wide Screen.
Resolution
By pressing “ ”/ “ ” on the remote control, you can
set the HDMI resolution as 576i, 576P, 720P, 1080i
or 1080P(50Hz).
Channel Search
Press the MENU button and select Channel
Search from the list using the “ ” / “ ” buttons
on the remote. Press OK or “ ” button to enter.
Three options are available: Auto Search,
Manual Search, Antenna Power.
To start an automatic channel scan highlight
Auto Search and press the OK or “ ” button.
To start a manual channel scan highlight Manual
Search and press the OK or “ ” button. On
the next screen you can set the Frequency
Channel and then press OK to start the
search. On this screen you can also see the
Frequency, Bandwidth,signal level and signal
quality values.
Time
Select Time inthemainmenutoconguretime
settings. Press OK or “ ” button to enter.
Use “ ” or “ ” buttons to highlight the desired
menu option. Press “ ” / “ ” buttons to set.
Time Offset can be set as Auto or Manual if
Auto is selected, Time Zone option will not be
available to be set. To set Time Zone option
Time Offset should be set as Manual.
Country Region option can not be set and
shows the current region.

A sleep timer can be set using the Sleep item
in the menu. Using this item you can set the
box to switch to sleep mode after a selected
period of time. 1,2,3,4,5 Hour and Off options
are available.
Using the Power On/Off sub-menu options you
can set the box to turn on or off at selected time.
Highlight Power On/Off and press “ ” button the
see the sub-menu options. Set the Power On
or Power Off option as Enable and then the
Power On Time or Power Off Time as desired.
Option
Select Optioninthe mainmenu tocongure
Time settings. Press OK or “ ” button to enter.
OSD Language: Shows the language of the on-
screen menus. To change the language press “
” / “ ” button on the remote.
Subtitle Language: Set the subtitle language
using the “ ” / “ ” buttons. To turn off the
subtitles set as Off.
Audio Language: Set the audio language using
the “ ” / “ ” buttons.
Digital Audio: To set the digital audio out type
highlight this options and press “” / “ ” button.
PCM and Compressed options are available.
Audio Description: You can turn off or set to
a value between 1-32.
System
Press the MENU button and select System
from the list using the “ ” / “ ” buttons on the
remote. Press OK or “ ” button to enter.Four
options are available: Set Password,Restore
Factory Default,Information and CA menu.
Set Password: You can set the system and
parental of the box. Highlight Set Password
option and press OK or “ ” button to display the
sub-menu. Select the option you want to reset
enter the new password. Use numeric buttons to
enter the old and new password numbers. You
will need to enter your new password a second
time for verication purposes. If both password
numbers are four digits long and the same, the
password will be changed. The factory default
password number is 0000 for both options. If
you change the password number, make sure
you write it down and keep it safe for future
references.Restore Factory Default: Highlight
Restore Factory Default option and press OK
or “ ” button to reset to factory default settings.

Information: Highlight Information option and
press OK or “ ” button to display information
about your receiver. Model, SW Version and
HW Version will be displayed.
CA Menu: Highlight CA Menu option and press
OK or “ ” button to display conditional access
menus.
USB
Press the MENU button and select USB from
the list using the “ ” / “ ” buttons on the remote.
Press OK or “ ” button to enter. USB menu
options will be displayed. Three options are
available: Multimedia, Photo Congure and
Movie Congure.
Multimedia
You can play/display music, video and picture
les installed on a connected USB storage
device. Select Multimedia in USB menu by
using Up or Down button and press OK button
to display media selection screen. To access
multimedia menu options quickly press
button on the remote. Select the desired media
type and press OK button the proceed.
Note: Some USB compliant devices may not be
supported. If the USB storage device is not recognized
after power off/on or First Time Installation, rst, plug
the USB device out and power off/on the set-top
box. Plug in the USB device into the USB input of
the box again.
Playing Audio Files
Select Music as media type and press OK
button. Select the folder that contains music
lesiftheyarenotinstalledintherootfolderof
theUSBdevice.Onlytheavailablemusicles
will be displayed.
OK button:Playstheselectedle.
button: Plays all media les in the folder
starting with the selected one.
button:Stoptheplayingle.
button:Pause/resumeplayingle.
button: Rapid advance.
button: Rapid reverse.

Viewing JPG Files
Select Photo as media type and press OK
button. Select the folder that contains image
lesiftheyarenotinstalledintherootfolderof
theUSBdevice.Onlytheavailableimageles
will be displayed.
OK button: Views the selected picture in full
screen. After pressing OK button following
operations can be done:
Red button: Zoom
Green button: Rotate
Back: Back to the previos folder.
button: Starts the slideshow with all pictures
in the folder.
Blue button: Preview all pictures in thumbnails
view.
Playing Video Files
Select Video as media type and press OK
button. Select the folder that contains video
lesiftheyarenotinstalledintherootfolderof
theUSBdevice.Onlytheavailablevideoles
will be displayed.
button: Play the selected video.
button: Stop the playing video.
button: Pause/resume playing video.
buttons: Rapid advance.
buttons: Rapid reverse.
Back: Back to the previos folder.
Red button: Switch between Preview and Full
screen.
Photo Congure
Select USB option from the main menu. Then
select Photo Congure and press OK or “ ”
button. The following options are available:
Slide Time: Specify a time interval for each
slide. This option can be set between 1 and 8
seconds.
Slide Mode: Set the slide mode as Random or
as desired value between 0 and 59.
Aspect Ratio: Set as Keep in order to keep
your photo’s aspect ratio. Set as Discard to
lettheimagettoscreensaspectratio.Movie
Congure
Select USB option from the main menu. Then
select Movie Congure and press OK or “ ”
button. The following options are available:
Subtitle Specic: Set the subtitle font size.
Subtitle BG: Set the subtitle background color.
Subtitle Font Color: Set the subtitle font color.
OSD message
No Signal
When the box receives no signal (e.g. the
antenna cable is disconnected), “No signal”
message will be displayed on the screen.
Channel Navigation
Channel Buttons: Pressing P+ / P- buttons will
swich to the next or previous channel in the list.
Numeric Buttons: Pressing a numeric button
will activate a small digit entry window on the
upper right corner of the screen. After a digit is
entered, the box will wait for 5 seconds in case
you enter another one. If no digit is entered
within these 5 seconds, the box will switch to
the entered channel number.
If a number is entered, to which no channel is
assigned “Invalid Channel” message will be
displayed on the screen.
Each time the box switches to the desired
channel or Info (İ) button is pressed an
information banner will be displayed on the
bottom side of the screen. The bar in the middle
of the banner indicates the duration of the
current program. On the channel info banner
there are:
•Channel number.
•Name of the channel.
•Programme duration bar.
•Current event name, next event name, and
their ‘start’ and ‘end’ times.
When switching to a locked channel, password
is requested. The channel can be watched only
if the correct password is entered. To skip this
channel, use P+ / P- buttons.
When V+ / V- buttons are pressed, volume level
bar is displayed. This shows the present volume
level graphically.
When the MUTE button is pressed, a mute
symbol is displayed on the screen. This symbol
won’t disappear until the MUTE button or is V+/V-
buttons are pressed. The MUTE button won’t work
if a menu is being displayed on the screen.

Displaying Text
Some channels have teletext pages broadcast
along with the television programme.
Press button to activate teletext pages (if
available). Press the button again to exit.
You can navigate the teletex pages by using the
directional buttons (“ ”/“ ”/“ ”/“ ”), OK and the
coloured buttons.
Note: If the subtitle is on, teletext page cannot be
displayed.
