1 Safety regulations
We advise you to read the following advice concerning the safety regulations carefully in order to ensure
safe use of the appliance.
ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
•The appliance should only be supplied by a current of 230 Volt AC, 50Hz.
•The appliance must not be repaired in any way by the user, in case of breakages or failures please refer to the
nearest centre for assistance.
•Do not remove the cover. The inside of the appliance could contain higher voltages than that of the supply
voltage which could endanger the user. High voltage is also present when the appliance is on standby. The
receiver should be disconnected from the electrical supply before performing any intervention. Non-authorised
removal will mean that the warranty is no longer valid!
POWER CABLE
•Before installing the appliance make sure that the cable is intact, paying particular attention to its connection
to the power supply and to the receiver. If the cable is damaged do not attempt to connect the appliance and
refer the problem to an authorised centre for assistance.
•When installing the cable make sure that it can not be flattened in any way by items placed above or next to
the appliance. Avoid placing the cable in an area where it could accidentally be stepped on, removed from the
wall or damaged in any way.
•If the cable is damaged in any way carefully disconnect from the appliance and refer to specialised
technicians or the centre for assistance to get a replacement.
LIQUIDS
•Keep the appliance far from any liquids. Do not place any objects containing liquids on the appliance, such as
vases, humidifiers etc. The appliance must not be installed in areas where it could come into contact with
sprays or drops of water or in an environment with a high level of humidity where condensation could occur.
•If the receiver should accidentally come into contact with liquids, disconnect immediately from the wall. DO
NOT TOUCH the device until it has been disconnected.
SMALL OBJECTS
•Keep the receiver away from coins or other small objects. Objects which fall into the appliance via the
ventilation gaps could cause serious damage.
CLEANING
•Before cleaning, disconnect the device from the power supply.
•To clean the outside of the receiver use a soft and dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using products which
contain chemicals or solvents.
VENTILATION
•Make sure that the area where the appliance is to be installed has good air circulation so that the heat can be
dissipate well in order to avoid overheating.
•In order to allow enough ventilation it is necessary to have a distance of at least 10 cm on either side of the
appliance and 15cm above the appliance.
•The vents must be kept clear from any obstructions such as newspapers, table cloths, furniture material,
curtains, carpets etc.
•Avoid installing the receiver close to any heat sources (i.e. radiators, stoves etc) or on top of any other
appliances which omit heat (video players, DVD etc).
WARNING!
•Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
•The plastic bags used for packaging can be dangerous. To avoid suffocating keep the bags out of reach of
children.
•Do not expose the receiver or remote control to direct sunlight.
•The appliance must be placed on a solid and stable base.
•Connect the device to the power supply only after installation is complete.
•Remove the batteries from the remote control if they will not be used for a long period of time. The remote
control could be damaged by any eventual battery leakages.
•Dispose of the product correctly so as to avoid damage to the environment and human health as well as to
facilitate recycling of the components/materials used in the appliance. If the product is not disposed of
properly this could be punishable according to the involved law.
•The manufacturers recommend that the parts are recycled separately and are taken to sites which conform to
current regulations.
•Take the product, including its accessories and batteries, when no longer usable to a collection
point which is authorised to handle waste from electrical or electronic appliances that should be kept
separate from regular household waste.

CAUTION
•It’s not guarantee the compatibility with all USB mass storage devices of the market.
•We suggest USB Hard Disk Drives (HDD) with an own external power supply.
2.2 Rear panel and connections
CAUTION
•It is good practice to connect the receiver with other appliances (e.g. TV, VCR, HI-FI, etc.) and the antenna before
plugging in the mains lead. When the receiver is powered electrical voltage differences may be created when
plugging in the jacks, which may generate currents that could damage the appliances.
•The direct audio-video connection with TV screen should always be used as a first operating test, since other more
complex connection sequences may give malfunctions that are not caused by faults or defects of the actual
appliances but by problems of incompatibility.

2.3 Remote Control Unit
2.3.1 Batteries
Information and warnings
Battery type: 2 x AAA, 1.5V.
Insert/replace the batteries at the first installation or when the remote control doesn’t work well.
It’s recommended to remove batteries from the remote control if it is not used for long time, in order to avoid
any possible damage.
Do not use different types of battery or flat and new batteries at the same time.
Insertion and removal
Open the battery cover on the bottom of remote control and insert the two batteries (AAA format) respecting
the right polarity direction as indicated on their place. Then, close the cover.
Remove the flat batteries, that must be disposed separately from common garbage and they must be taken
to the shop or waste collection point, repeating similar operations done during the insertion.
2.3.2 Buttons and related functions

3 First time installation
When all the connections on the receiver are ready (section 2.2) and the mains lead is plugged in, the
receiver will start up automatically. If this does not happen, press the qbutton on the front panel of the
receiver or on the remote control.
An easy installation menu will be displayed where you can set different parameters and then run the channel
scan:
Step 1. Region
Use the arrow ◄/►buttons to select your Country. Press ▼to proceed.
CAUTION
If the wrong country is selected the channel scan may not detect all the channels available.
Step 2. Language
Use the arrow ◄/►button to select a language for the On Screen Display menu (OSD). Press ▼to go to
the next parameter.
Step 3. Display Mode
Adjust the video resolution of the HDMI output with arrow ◄/►button, taking care about the technical
characteristics of the connected TV monitor. Push ▼to go down.
Step 4. Aspect Mode
With arrow ◄/►button set the video aspect ratio between:
1. 16:9FS:for 16:9 screen, it extends the video picture to the whole screen,
2. 16:9PB: for 16:9 screen, in case of 4:3 video picture it adds left and right black bars to cover all screen,
3. 4:3 PS(Pan Scan): for 4:3 screen, in case of 16:9 video picture it fills the screen vertically and cuts the
exceeding lateral sides,
4. 4:3 LB (Letter Box): for 4:3 screen, in case of 16:3 video picture it adds up and down black bars to cover
all screen.
Press OK to proceed.

4 Receiver Menu
The first time installation procedure (chapter 3) will allow the receiver to be used with its basic functions.
However the receiver offers many more advanced features and options that are illustrated in the following
sections.
4.1 Main menu
Press [MENU] button to browse the Main Menu including 5 submenus which are listed below:
4.1.1 Media Player
Move cursor to “Media Player” and press [OK] button to enter in its submenu. There are 4 options which
are listed below. Press [INFO] button to switch between the following submenus. Press [EXIT] button to quit.
!PVR
Select “PVR” and press [OK] button to enter in its setup interface, use [CH▲/▼] buttons to choose item
and press [OK] button to play.
oRename: Press [RED] button to rename the chosen item.
oLock: Press [GREEN] button to lock the chosen item.
oDelete: Press [YELLOW] button to delete the chosen item.
oSwitch: Press numeric button-5 to switch between submenus of “Media Player”.
!Video
Select “Video” and press [OK] button to enter in its setup interface.
oEdit: Press [BLUE] button to edit the chosen item. In this submenu, press [RED] button to rename,
press [GREEN] button to copy, press [YELLOW] button to delete and press [BLUE] button to open a
new folder.
oSwitch: Press numeric button-5 to switch between submenus of “Media Player”.
oSort: Press numeric button-6 to sort channels.
oPlay mode: Press numeric button-8 to select play mode: Single/All/Random.
!Music
Select “Music” and press [OK] button to enter in its setup interface.
oPlay List: Press numeric button-1 to display play list.
oFAV: Press numeric button-2 to set the chosen songs in Favorites.
oFAV ALL: Press numeric button-3 to set all songs in Favorites.
oEdit: Press numeric button-4 to edit. In this submenu, press [RED] button to rename, press [GREEN]
button to copy, press [YELLOW] button to delete and press [BLUE] button to open a new folder.
oSwitch: Press numeric button-5 to switch between submenus of “Media Player”.
oSort: Press numeric button-6 to sort channels.
oRepeat: Press numeric button-7 to choose play mode: Single repeated/All/Random.
!Image
Select “Image” and press [OK] button to enter in its setup interface.
oPlay List: Press [RED] button to display play list.
oFAV: Press [GREEN] button to set the chosen songs in Favorites.
oFAV ALL: Press [YELLOW] button to set all songs in Favorites.
oEdit: Press [BLUE] button to edit. In this submenu, press [RED] button to rename, press [GREEN]
button to copy, press [YELLOW] button to delete and press [BLUE] button to open a new folder.
oSwitch: Press numeric button-5 to switch between submenus of “Media Player”.
oSort: Press numeric button-6 to sort channels.
oSetup: Press numeric button-7 to enter in playback setting.
oMulitView: Press numeric button-8 to display multi images.

4.1.2 Edit Channel
Move cursor to “Edit Channel” and press [OK] button to enter in its submenu. There are 3 options which
are listed below.
!TV Channel List
Open TV Channel List. On the left is the list of all TV channels or free channels, on the right is a visible
small window for viewing the selected channel, and at the bottom is the navigation guide for all
operations. According to the navigation guide, user can conduct lots of operations on the TV channels as
follows:
oChoose Channel: Use [CH▲/▼] buttons to select channels and press [OK] button to start watching.
oLock: Press [RED] button to lock the current channel.
oSkip: Press [GREEN] button to set the current channel to be skipped when continues shift channels.
oMove: Use [CH▲/▼] buttons to reorder the channel list.
oEdit: Press [BLUE] button to enter in edit interface. Press [RED] button to sort channels in different
orders. Press [GREEN] button to edit current channel. Press [BLUE] button to delete the current
channel.
!Radio Channel List
All found radio channels will be listed here.
Refer to the operation of TV Channel List which defined in section “TV Channel List” for detailed
information..
!Delete All
Press [OK] button to delete all TV and Radio channels. Operate according to screen.
4.1.3 DVBT Installation
Move cursor to “DVBT Installation” and press [OK] button to enter in its submenu. There are 3 options
which are listed below. Use [CH▲/▼] buttons to select submenu, [OK] button to enter in its interface, [EXIT]
button to quit.
!DVBT Channel Scan
oScan Mode: By Channel/By Frequency
oScan Band: VHF/UHF
oChannel No.: Only available in “By channel” mode.
oFrequency: Only available in “By Frequency” mode.
oBandwidth: 6MHZ/7MHZ/8MHZ
oSearch: Press [OK] button to start search. Press [EXIT] button to quit and system will automatically
save the found channels.
oSignal Intensity:Indication bar of the intensity of signal.
oSignal Quality:Indication bar of the quality of signal.
!DVBT Auto Scan
oCountry: Poland/ Russia/ Singapore/ Spain/ Sweden/ Taiwan/ United Kingdom/ Iran/ Argentina/
Austria/ China/ Demark/ Finland/ France/ German/ Hong-Kong/ Italy
oFTA Only: Yes/No
oSearch: Press [OK] button to start search. Press [EXIT] button to quit and system will automatically
save the found channels.
!LCN
Move cursor to “LCN” and press [OK] button to enter in its submenu. In LCN on mode, the system will
automatically list the channels in the same order as in the signal stream; in LCN off mode, the system will list
the channels in an ascending order according to the channel numbers.

4.1.4 System Setup
Move cursor to “System Setup” and press [OK] button to enter in its submenu. There are 12 options
which are listed below. Use [CH▲/▼] buttons to select submenu and press [OK] to enter in its interface,
press [EXIT] button to quit.

oOSD Language: English, Czech, French, Deutsch, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian.
oFirst Audio: English, Czech, French, Deutsch, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian.

oTimer Mode: Off/Once/Daily
oTimer Service: Channel/Record
oWakeup Channel: Setup channel needs to be wake up.
oWakeup Date: Setup timer date. Use navigation buttons to move cursor and numeric button to input
date.
oOn Time: Setup time for timer to wake up. Use navigation and numeric button to input time.
oDuration: Setup long of the timer. Use navigation and numeric button to input time.
oPS Record
NOTE:
Timer function is not deviated when the DVB-T device is in working status.
!Parental Lock
Default password is “0000”.

NOTE
Tips for record real-time channel program
oConnect USB device with receiver.
oTurn on “Time Shift” mode.
oPress [PAUSE] button to stop the TV program and the receiver will start recording as much as the USB device
capacity is. Press [PLAY] button to continue watch the program from the stopped.
oUse [F.REW] and [F.FWD] buttons to forward or backward of recorded program. There are 5 options,
2×4×8×16 and ×32.
oPress [INFO] button twice to enter in “HDD Record List” interface, choose one of it and press [OK] button to
watching by full screen.
oThe recorded program will be eased automatically once channel has been shifted.

4.1.5 Tools
Move cursor to “Tools” and press [OK] button to enter in its submenu. There are 6 options which are

Move cursor to “Information” and press [OK] button to display information of the device.
!Factory Setting
Move cursor to “Factory Setting” and press [OK] button to load factory default. The default password is
“0000”.This step must be done at first time use or after upgrade. Please operate according to screen.

oUpgrade Mode: All Code/Main Code/ Radioback/Defaultdb
oUpgrade File: Select the correctly upgrade file which named ended with “.abs”.
oStart: Start upgrading.
!Remove USB Device Safely
Move cursor to “Remove USB device safely” and press [OK] button to confirm. After this step is done,
user can remove the storage device safely.

6 Problem solver
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE

1. The receiver does not start (the
LED on the front panel display is not
lighted up).
The mains lead is not plugged in.
Make sure the mains lead is properly
plugged in.
The mains lead is plugged in but the
receiver still does not work.
Unplug mains lead and check it for
damage (RISK of electric shock!).
2. No Video or Audio signal.
No signal or a poor signal.
Verify the antenna installation and
signal quality.
SCART/HDMI cable or antenna cable
not connected properly or damaged.
Check the connection of SCART,
HDMI and antenna cables.
Wrong HDMI resolution.
Choose a proper HDMI resolution
viewing the menu with the SCART.
Audio volume low or zero.
Adjust the audio volume of the TV set
and the receiver.
AV channel not selected on TV set.
Make sure the AV channel is selected
on the TV set (consult related user
manual).
3. The channel scan gives no results.
No antenna signal.
Check for a signal using the receiver
menu.
Your antenna system is not still
compliant with the target channel.
Ask for an antenna technician help.
Manually scan for channels.
4. You have forgotten the Password.
Refer to section 4.1.5 of the manual.
5. The receiver does not interact with
the remote control buttons.
The receiver is temporarily blocked.
Unplug the mains lead of the receiver
for at least one minute and then plug it
back in.
The target channel transmits wrong
data.
Reboot the box without the antenna
connection, delete the problematic
channel, then connect again the
antenna.
The remote control is not being
directed towards the receiver.
Make sure nothing is obstructing the
front panel.
The remote control batteries are flat.
Change batteries.
The batteries have been inserted in
the wrong direction.
Check the battery polarities.
The remote control has been dropped
and its internal components have
been damaged.
Contact the local dealer and buy a
new remote control.
6. The USB mass storage device is
not recognized or doesn’t work
properly.
USB memory not formatted properly.
Format the disk. See also the PVR

USB device incompatible or memory

CAUTION: Generally, in case of dysfunctional behaviours of the receiver, a factory reset (section 4.1.5) or a system
reboot could solve the problem.
