QUICK START GUIDE

Lingua T Quick User Guide
1. Update Your System
Before updating the system, make sure you have the latest update on your Lingua T. Ensure you have
download the latest .tuf file from http://updates.televic-conference.com.
Next, power on the Lingua T and go to the webpage:
-Surf to http://192.168.0.140 (make sure your IP address is on the same subnet). If you
changed the IP address and do not remember it, you can reset the IP address by pressing the
reset button on the front panel for 10 seconds. When reset is activated, the status led turns
red and you can release the reset button.
-Click on “Menu” in the top left corner:

-Click on “Update Version”:
-Click on “Load file” and select your .tuf file:

-The update should not take longer than 5 minutes. Once it is finished, press “Finish Update”.
The Lingua T will reboot automatically:

2. Channel configuration
-Click on “Menu” and subsequently on “Audio”:
-Enter the channel language codes (2 letters, free to choose) for each required channel. This
should be the ISO-639-1 language codes in case Aladdin receivers are used. The floor should
be abbreviated as “FL”:
-If needed, the Dante™ input channels can be changed by clicking the drop down button.
-If less than 6 channels are used, remove the other channels by clicking on the trash bin icon
on the right.

-After setting all options, make sure to click “Save settings”!
-If more than 6 channels are required, a license should be purchased. Please follow steps 1 to
4 below to increase your number of channels:
1. Get the MAC Address of your Lingua T
Click on “Menu” and subsequently on “System info”. The MAC address can
be found on the first line and has the following structure: AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF
2. Contact Televic Conference (email: cocon-[email protected]) with this MAC
address and your purchase order number. You will receive a mail with the license file
in ZIP format.
3. Unzip the file and import the XML file in the Lingua T website by clicking on the
“Upload license” button.

4. Verify the maximum number of audio channels. This should match the number of the
purchased license.

3. Setting Delay Line Compensation for the Radiators
-Click on “Menu” and subsequently on “Radiator”:
-In order to set the delay line compensation for the radiators manually, upload the
configuration file with the correct settings by clicking on “Import configuration” and
uploading a .tdc file.
-If you don’t yet have a .tdc file, you can create one by exporting a default .tdc file by clicking
on “Export configuration”.

-If you open this file with WordPad/NotePad++ or a similar code editor, you will see following
structure:
For each port, the distance between each radiator in one branch should be noted. In the
example above, the first radiator on Radiator Out port 1 is located 10 meters from the Lingua
T, and the next radiator on the branch is located on 20 meters from radiator 1.
The maximum number of radiators allowed on one branch (in cascade) is 20. This means a
maximum of 80 radiators can be used on a single Lingua T.
Edit this file according to your setup, taking into account this specific structure, and upload
this .tdc file to the Lingua T by clicking on “Import configuration”.

The upload could take up to 30 seconds.
Now your system should be ready to be used.
Route the Dante™ channels with the Dante™ Controller software to the Lingua T Dante™
interface (default IP address: 169.254.0.1) to insert the audio.
