Using our product will allow you to monitor indoor environments such as rooms and
buildings thanks to CO2, Total Volatile Organic Compounds Index (TVOC), Particulate
Matter (PM), temperature and relative humidity meters.
Please read and follow all instructions in this user manual. If you have any questions or

5.2. LED
The LED (Figure2) provides visual feedback of the system. Please refer to the Figure6 to
know the colour's meaning.

The button (see Figure3) is usable with a needle or a very thin object.

The device is powered by an USB type C cable as shown in Figure4.

6.Quick device set up
Here is the procedure to set up your device quickly. If you want more information,
please read the next sections.
1. Power on the device
Connect the Terabee Air Quality IN5 device to the USB-C power supply.
Once powered, the device is ready within 10 seconds.

The flashing blue LED indicates that the device is in config state and activates a
Wireless Access Point with the following format: TAQ-IN5_xx:xx:xx:xx:yy:yy
2. Connect to the Access Point
From a smartphone or a computer, connect to the Access Point using the following
credentials:
○SSID: TAQ-IN5_xx:xx:xx:xx:yy:yy (where x and y represent any hexadecimal
digit)
○Password: PW yyyy (with 2 spaces between PW and yyyy, yyyy is a 4
hexadecimal digit from the last part of the SSID above)
WiFi restrictions
Only 2.4GHz WiFi can be used.
3. Configure your WiFi communication
Once connected to the access point, open a Web browser and go to: https://192.168.4.1
to access the Configuration Web app.
Enter your in-home Wi-Fi network SSID and password.

4. You’re all set!
The device is configured and starts pushing your data to the network.
7.Device behavior
The device has 2 main states:
●Config state: the device is ready to be configured
●Nominal state: the device measures the air quality and send data to the
network

This behavior is detailed in Figure5 below.

7.1. Config state
At the first power on, the device is blocked in the config state waiting for WiFi
parameters to connect to the Internet. The LED flashes in blue in this state.
In this state, the device activates a WiFi access point and provides a Web app to
configure (see 8.1. Configuration Web app section) in order to connect the device to a
smartphone or computer and configure it.
To force the config state when the product has already been configured, you need to do
a short press on the button (press the button between 0 and 2 seconds). See 5.3. Button
section.
7.2. Nominal state
As soon as the WiFi connection is set, the device goes into nominal state. The device
stays in this state until you press the button or any internal error occurs.
In this state, the device:
●pushes data to the network every 2 minutes,
●activates a display Web app (see 8.2. Air Quality displaying Web app section)
allowing you to visualize air quality measurements.

The LED indicates the air quality for 10 seconds, then the device status for 10 seconds
and loops again to the air quality indicator as shown in Figure6 and Table 3.

The sensors are not operational just after the power on. They need a warm up phase
which takes between 10 and 15 minutes. The LED is set on in solid white during this
phase.
7.3. Factory Reset state
If you want to erase all your settings (eg. WiFi parameters), you can force a factory reset
using a long press on the button (press for more than 2 seconds and release the
button). The LED will flash in red during 3 seconds and the device state will be forced to
the config state.
If you just want to modify existing WiFi parameters, you can force entering in the
config state using a short press on the button (instead of using the factory reset).

8. Web applications
8.1. Configuration Web app
This Web application is only available when the device is in the config state (see 7.1.
Config state section). In this state, the device enables an access point allowing you to
connect a computer or a smartphone to the device. Please refer to the 6. Quick device
setup section.
Ensure your computer or smartphone is connected to the WiFi access point of the
device, open a Web browser and go to this url: https://192.168.4.1
The application is not reachable using http.
Only https is usable.
When the application is launched, you will see a Web form as shown in the Figure7. The
Tab “Configure” allows you to modify some settings whereas the tab “Update” allows
you to update the device.

The Update feature is not yet available (still in development), so the button “Launch
update” has no effect.

8.2. Air Quality displaying web app
This web application is only available when the device is in the nominal state (see 7.2.
Nominal state section). In this state, the device tries to connect to your WiFi network.

WiFi restrictions
Only 2.4GHz WiFi can be used.
If the device fails in connecting to the WiFi network (no network, or bad WiFi
parameters), the LED flashes in pink for 10 seconds every minute and the Air Quality
displaying web app is not available.
To launch the Air Quality displaying web app, open a web browser and type the
Terabee Air Quality IN5 IP address using this format https://IP address. For instance
https://192.168.1.2
Use the IP address assigned by your WiFi router (in most cases, the IP address is
available in your router administration page, next to the device name “Terabee Air
Quality IN5”), as shown in Figure8.

The application is not reachable using http.
Only https is usable.
When the app is launched, you will see a web page with some widgets to observe the air
quality as shown in the Figure9 and Figure10.

9. Troubleshooting
Problem

Please check if the USB type C cable is
well plugged in. If OK, try to unplug and

10. Cleaning instructions
In case the product has been soiled, it is recommended to use a dry or slightly damp
cloth to clean the outer part of the product only.
Do not use any products directly on this device as they may influence the values read by
the sensor in a definitive way.

11. Maintenance
Terabee Air Quality IN5 is given for a lifetime of 10 years.
After this period it is necessary to contact Terabee at [email protected] to replace
the sensor components.
The user is not allowed to open the product or perform maintenance himself and must
contact Terabee support services in case a problem is faced.
