About this document
iPlease read this documentation through carefully and familiarize yourself with
the product before putting it to use. Keep this document to hand so that you
can refer to it when necessary. Hand this documentation on to any
subsequent users of the product.

Functions and use
The alarm box (art. no. 0554 6722) is to be connected to the
testo 6721 pressure dewpoint monitor and enhances it with the functions:
- Display of the alarm statuses via two 2-colour LEDs:
no alarm/pre-alarm/alarm
LED LIMIT 2/alarm LIMIT 1
No alarm green green
Pre-alarm green red
Main alarm red red
- Integrated mains unit for supplying testo 6721 with 24 V DC

Assembly and wiring
1Open left and right side covers .
2Loosen the 4 screws .
3Remove the housing cover.
4Fasten bottom part of housing to the wall
using 4 screws .
5Lead control line for testo 6721 through the
screw connections and connect as described
above (use suitable connector sleeves).
6Lead through and connect mains cable
(100 - 250 V AC, 50/60 Hz) (not supplied).
Recommended wire: 3 x 1 mm2 (L1, N, PE)
Type NYMHYV
iConnect protective conductor to the intended
terminal (use suitable connector sleeves).
Caution! Damage of pressure dewpoint
monitor!
iOperate Alarm box only with connected
protective conductor.
7Replace the housing cover.
8Screw on housing cover and close side covers.
9Tighten cable couplings.
Two fastening pins are supplied. The housing cover can be fastened using
these to prevent it from falling off when opened. As required: Insert the
fastening pins in two of the bores (at left , right, top or bottom) of the cover
and the bottom part.
Function test
The switches of the testo 6721 can be simulated using wire jumpers:
- Connection of P1 with NO1 as test for alarm 1 (LED Limit 1: red)
- Connection of P2 with NO2 as test for alarm 2 (LED Limit 2: red)
Alternatively, a test using the P2A software is suggested, see testo 6721
instruction manual.

Commissioning6
Select the power supply in such a way that it switches the alarm unit to
potential-free on all terminals via a suitable disconnection system
(emergency OFF). The disconnection system must be positioned close to the
alarm box, be easily recognizable and be marked as a disconnection
system.
Select the installation site so that this does not influence the function of the
disconnection system.
Also please ensure that the operation of the instrument is protected with
suitable current overload protection systems (fuses).

Cleaning the alarm box
If dirty, clean the housing of the measuring instrument with a damp cloth.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning products or solvents! Weak household detergents
or soap solutions can be used.
