SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Carefully read this manual before using this CD Clock radio. Make sure that you know how the
equipment functions and how to operate it. Maintain the equipment in accordance with the
instructions to ensure that it functions properly. Keep this manual with the equipment. If the
equipment is to be used by a third party, this instruction manual must be supplied with it. The safety
instructions, by themselves, do not eliminate danger completely, and proper accident prevention
measures must always be used.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
Remove all packaging. For safety do not immerse any part of the equipment or power cord in water
or any other liquid. Check for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Do not use if the
equipment is damaged in any way or if the adaptor or supply cord is damaged. Immediately return
to supplier for replacement or repair.

OPERATION
CAUTION
Risk of electric shock, do not open. This unit employs a laser.
Battery installation
This unit requires a 9-volt battery (not supplied) to power the clock memory function. To fit a new
battery, open the battery compartment by pressing the notch in the direction of the arrow and
lifting. Install a 9-volt battery following the polarity marked. Close the battery compartment cover.
Note. When not in use for any period always remove the battery from the unit. A damaged or
leaking battery may cause severe damage to the unit.
Clock setting
Plug the unit into a suitable 230-240 volt AC power socket. Press and hold the TIME SET button,
and at the same time, press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until the correct time is displayed.
Alarm setting
Set the AUTO/ON/OFF selector switch to AUTO. Press the ALARM SET button down and at the
same time press the HOUR button to the desired time. Repeat for desired minute setting using the
MINUTE button to set the minute time. To check the alarm time press the ALARM SET button.
The pre set time will be displayed.
For radio alarm set the FUNCTION switch to FM.
For buzzer alarm set the FUNCTION switch to BUZZ.
For CD alarm set the FUNCTION switch to CD. (Note, when in CD alarm mode there will be a
short period after alarm activated before CD play commences).
To turn the alarm off set FUNCTION switch to OFF.
Snooze function
When the alarm activates the alarm sound can be temporarily turned off by pressing the SNOOZE
button once. The alarm will sound again after a period of 9 minutes.
Sleep timer
The radio / CD can be set to automatically turn off after a period between 1 minute and 1 hour and
59 minutes. Set the FUNCTION switch to AUTO. Press the SLEEP button. The unit turns on and
0:59 (minutes) will be temporarily displayed in the display. Press and hold the SLEEP button to
reduce the time if desired. To increase the desired time press and hold simultaneously the HOUR,
MIN and SLEEP buttons.
Radio operation
Set the function switch to ON. Set the FUNCTION switch to FM. Adjust the VOLUME control to a
mid volume point. Rotate the TUNING dial until the desired station is found. Adjust volume
control to the desired level. For better reception uncoil and extend the antenna wire located at the
rear.

CD operation
Play. Set the FUNCTION switch to ON. Open the CD disc compartment door and place disc with
the printed side of label upwards. Close the lid. The number of tracks on the disc will be displayed.
Press PLAY / PAUSE button to play. The number of the track being played will be displayed. To
stop, skip, forward or reverse the track press STOP, PAUSE, SKIP buttons.
Repeat. To repeat any particular track, press the REPEAT button. To repeat all tracks press the
REPEAT button twice.
Program. To program any particular tracks, press PROGRAM, use the SKIP UP / SKIP DOWN
buttons to select a particular track, press PROGRAM to confirm track. Repeat if required and press
play. Up to twenty (20) tracks can be programmed at one time.
Care
Do not use irregular shaped discs.
Do not leave in direct sunlight.
Do not place more than 1 disk into CD compartment.
Do not open the CD compartment when in operation.
Do not touch the lens.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
When using electric equipment always observe safety regulations where applicable to reduce the
risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
Supply cord and plug.
Always fully unwind any cord to avoid overheating. Never allow any supply cord to come in
contact with hot objects. Do not carry the equipment by the cord. Disconnect by first switching off
the mains outlet, grasping the adaptor and pulling it out gently.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Only use authorised replacement parts.
Children.
Caution. Keep out of reach of children.
This equipment is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.
Young children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the equipment..
Water.
For your safety do not immerse any part of this equipment in water.
Do not use with wet hands or use in damp situation. Do not use outdoors
Handling..
Do not drop the product as this may cause damage or damage internal components. Do not use this
equipment if it has been damaged in any way, immersed in water, the supply cord is damaged or the
operation is faulty. Contact with any damaged equipment could result in electric shock.
Batteries.
Remove any battery when not in use. Leaking batteries may damage the unit.
CAUTION: to reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back). No user-
serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
LASER SAFETY: This unit employs a laser. Only qualified service personnel should
attempt to service this device due to possible eye injury.

Store in a safe place
When not in use store the unit and all its accessories and instruction manual in a safe and dry place.

these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling. This equipment is intended for
household use only.
CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning.
When not in use or before cleaning, always disconnect from the mains supply.
Cleaning guide.
Regularly clean the outside of the equipment with a soft damp cloth and dry it with a dry towel. Do
not immerse in water. Do not use harsh solvents to clean the plastic components.
