LM-330 A3 Hot & Cold Laminator
Thankyou for choosing a Texet laminator. We aim to supply quality
machines that create excellent results. Before operating the
laminator – please read and keep the user instructions for reference.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to
reduce risk of injury or electric shock, including the following:
1. Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
2. Extreme caution to be used when operating the appliance near children or
invalids.
3. The laminator will become very hot in use and care should be taken when
handling the machine.
4. Protect against the risk of electrical hazards. Do not immerse the power
cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids.
5. Do not use the appliance near water.
6. Do not insert any metal objects or other foreign objects such as jewellery,
hair, fingers or clothing into the appliance.
7. Remove paper clips and staples before laminating.
8. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged plug or power cord or after
the appliance has malfunctioned or become damaged in some manner.
9. The plug and power cord is the disconnect device.
10.The appliance should be installed near the outlet socket and the socket
should be easily accessible.
11.Only laminate paper or board. Do not laminate unusual objects.
12.Do not use aerosol dusters or cleaners.
13.Do not spray anything into or lubricate the appliance.
Setup:
1. Operate the machine on a flat and stable surface.
2. Ensure there is enough clear space at the rear of the machine for the
lamination to exit the machine. Locate the exit tray at the rear.
3. The LM-330 operates with laminating pouches 150 (2x75) micron – 350
(2x175) micron thick (Credit Card to A3 sizes)
Operating the hot laminator:
The LM-330 is operated by using slider switches located on the top of the
appliance. There are two sliding type switches:
-Slider 1 for on/off, cold lamination or hot lamination selection.
-Slider 2 for hot lamination pouch thickness selection.
To operate the machine -
1. Plug the machine into a suitable power socket.
2. Fix the exit tray to the rear of the machine.
3. Select the type of lamination process required ON/Cold (I) or ON/Hot (I)
The POWER ON neon will light up RED.
4. To COLD laminate – select ON/Cold temperature setting. The machine
must have been switched off for at least 4 hours. The READY neon will
illuminate.
5. To HOT laminate – select ON/Hot temperature setting.
6. Select the correct pouch thickness. There are 3 pouch thickness selections:
a. Up to 160 microns (up to 2x80mcn per side)
b. 200-250 microns (2x100mcn up to 2x125mcn per side)
c. 300-350 microns (2x150mcn up to 2x125mcn per side)
7. The machine will start to heat-up for hot laminating. After 3-5 minutes
(depending upon the pouch thickness selected) the blue READY light will
illuminate when the machine has reached the correct operating temperature.
The machine is ready to laminate.
8. Prepare the laminating pouch for inserting into the machine. Load the paper
centrally into the pouch alongside the pre-sealed edge.
9. When the machine has reached operating temperature, you may insert the
pouch (sealed edge first) squarely into the machine until it engages with the
rollers. Never insert a pouch open edge first into the machine.
10.The pouch will move through the machine and exit at the rear.
11.During the process the READY light may go out as heat is absorbed by the
laminating pouch. This is normal. Please wait until the READY light is
illuminated again before inserting the next pouch.
12.Turn the laminator OFF (O) after use.
13.Remove the plug from the power supply.
IMPORTANT !
Do not touch the top of the machine during use. The top of the machine gets very
hot during use and takes approx. 3-4 hours to cool down after use. Do not place
items on top of the machine at any time.
Laminating capacity:
The LM-330 laminator is designed for hot or cold lamination and low volume use.
Do not use the machine with pouches greater than 350 microns in thickness.
How to load a laminating pouch:
The laminating pouch is sealed along one side. Open the pouch and place the
paper to be laminated centrally inside the pouch as close to the sealed edge as
possible. Ensure there is an equal border all round the paper (eg; A4 paper should
have a 3mm border). The sealed edge (not the open edges) is placed into the
entry slot to start the lamination process.
