Function Description
Selecting blades
When selecting a blade, choose the right type and length. Many types of blades are
available for a variety of application: cutting metal, wood, nail-embedded wood, scroll
cutting, roughing –in, and contours.
Many lengths are also available. Choose a length long enough to extend beyond the shoe
and your work throughout the stroke. Do not use blades less than 3-1/2” long since they
won’t extend beyond the shoe throughout the stroke.

Begin cutting at a slow speed, gradually increasing speed as you cut, when cutting into

metals or hard materials that cannot be cut form an edge. Drill a staring hole larger than
the widest part of the blade.
Battery Pack Operation
To Charge the Battery
1. Contact the charger and charger base
2. Firmly insert battery pack onto charger base
3. Plug the battery charger (adapter) to power source (120V / 60Hz).
4. The Red LED light on the charger base will come on when the unit is plugged in and has power.
5. When the battery is full charged, the Red and Green light will be lighted on.
The proper charging time is 3-5hr.
Unplug charger after charging is complete and whenever it is not in use.
CAUTION: Only use the provided battery charger for charging the battery. First place the
rechargeable battery into the charging slot in the charger and then connect the charger to the
mains. Charging starts automatically.
Remove the battery from the charge after it’s fully charged (After about 5hrs). Always disconnect
the charger from the mains before you remove the battery from the charger.
The charger and battery may become warm to touch while charging. This is a normal
condition, and does not indicate a problem.
Use the charger at normal room temperatures whenever possible. To prevent overheating,
do not cover the charger and do not charge the battery in direct sunlight or near heat
sources.
If the battery does not charge properly:
1) Check current at power outlet by plugging in a lamp or other appliance.
2) If charging problems persist, have the complete drill checked by an electrician or a power
tool technician.
To Attach Battery Pack
Align the raised portion on the battery pack with the grooves in the handle of saw, and then
insert the battery pack in to the tool as shown in the below image.
Make sure that the latch on the battery pack snaps into place and the battery pack is
secured to the tool before beginning operation.

To Detach Battery Pack
Depress both battery-release buttons located on the side of the battery pack to release
the battery pack.
Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the tool.
CAUTION: When placing battery pack in your cordless reciprocating saw, be sure raised rib on
battery pack aligns with groove in saw’s battery port and latches snap in place properly. Improper
assembly of battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
BATTERY PROTECTION
The circuitry protects the battery pack from extreme temperature, over discharge, and
over-charge. To protect the battery from damage and prolong its life, the battery pack circuitry
will turn off the battery pack if it becomes overloaded or if the temperature becomes too high
during use. Both red and green LED light will turn on when the battery fully charged.

The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery

operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled
cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use
which reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current
device (RCD) protected supply which reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
b) Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will
