WARRANTY
All equipment and accessories are warranted by Thermaltronics to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship as follows:

This warranty does not apply to equipment or goods which have been tampered
with, misused, damaged through improper installation or used in a manner
contrary to supplier instructions. Normal “wear and tear” of equipment or goods
is not covered by this warranty. If the product should become defective within the
warranty period, Thermaltronics will repair or replace it free of charge at its sole
option. Warranty period is from the date of purchase by the original owner. If the
date of purchase cannot be substantiated the date of manufacture will be used as
the start of the warranty period.

unit has been tested and inspected by Thermaltronics prior to shipment, and
with proper maintenance will give you years of reliable performance.

SYSTEM FEATURES
Power Supply:
The TMT-5000PS power supply is manufactured from the finest materials
and is the most compact 13.56MHz power supply available on the market
today.
HANDPIECE FEATURES
The unique SHP-T hand piece is comfortable to use, light weight and well
balanced. The clever handle design incorporates an aluminium front section,
with either black or green grips and an ESD safe, nylon rear which minimises
heat transfer and ensures operator comfort.
WORKSTAND FEATURES
The SHH-2 work stand is manufactured from durable phenolic material; the
unique sure lock iron holder has an open design that will keep the handpiece
stable and cool when in use.
Complete Handpiece assembly including
cartridge removal pad.
To change grip, unscrew the front retaining
cap and slide off the old grip.
Insert new grip and retighten front cap.

UNPACKING/ASSEMBLY/OPERATION
Please read this manual and follow the directions before using the equipment.
The carton contains:
1. Instruction manual
2. TMT-5000PS power supply
3. SHH-2 Soldering handpiece holder, including Brass curls and sponge
4. SHP-T Soldering handpiece, with green and black grips
5. RMP-1 Tip removal pad
6. CC-1 Connection Cable
Important: Keep all shipping materials until satisfactory operation has been veried.
Assembly and Operation
1. Remove TMT-5000PS power supply base from its box and place on a suitable work
bench equipped with AC power.
2. Remove the SHH-2 work stand from its box. The unit should include a brass tip
cleaning curl and a rectangular sulphide free sponge.
3. Remove the SHP-T handpiece from its box and place into iron holder.
4. Plug the handpiece cord into the front connector.
5. Plug tip cartridge into handpiece
6. Moisten the sponge with DE-Ionized water.
7. Connect the AC plug to a suitable AC power outlet.
8. Switch the power switch to the “on” position
9. Allow a few seconds for tip cartridge to reach soldering temperature.
10. The unit should then be ready to use.
Temperature Calibration
Thermaltronics “Curie Heat Technology” systems do not require temperature
calibration. The technology is very precise and is self regulating. The alloy used in the
construction of the tip cartridge will maintain the set temperature for its entire life.
