Proper use
Before first use
Safety instructions
Thermostar Steam Iron is suitable for use in connection
with Thermostar Dry Steam Cleaner
Avantgarde or Professional.
It is only suitable for ironing garments and linen.
No liability is assumed for damages caused by improper
use or incorrect operation.
Ensure that all packaging material has been carefully removed
from the iron.
Before using for the first time, iron over an old garment with steam for a
few seconds to remove any production residue.
The hot soleplate, as well as hot steam can cause burns on contact
with the skin.
Do not leave the iron unattended while it is in operation.
Ensure to keep the iron out of the reach of children or pets while it is hot.
Use the iron only on a flat and stable surface.
Always allow the iron to cool down completely before putting it away.
The iron is not intended for use by children or persons with
limited physical or mental capabilities.
Do not use if the iron or cord has obvious damage.
In this case, contact your dealer.
Make sure that no other high wattage appliance is operating
on the same circuit.

Ironing with Thermostar Steam Iron
Connect the plug to your water-filled Thermostar Dry Steam
Cleaner and switch it on.
Place your Thermostar next to the ironing board and place
the cord spirally around the antenna, so that the cord is
relieved of tension and will not bother you when ironing.
The iron should always be placed on the silicone pad
provided.
When the steam in Thermostar
Dry Steam Cleaner reaches 160
degrees, the appliance is ready
for use.
Always iron with the highest
temperature setting (•••). For all
sensitive materials and garments
with dark color, always use the
Teflon sole, which is available as
an accessory.
Recommendation
Iron thick fabrics with the suction function of your ironing board.
Always iron thin fabrics with an inflated ironing board.
For a refreshing and vertical steaming of garments, hold them up with a coat
hanger and drive the steaming iron in the desired places with small distance.
Again, be sure to use the Teflon sole.

If necessary, remove the Teflon sole after ironing, otherwise damage and
oxidation of the soleplate may occur.
Switch off your Thermostar Dry Steam Cleaner before disconnecting the plug
of the iron from your Thermostar.
Allow the iron to cool completely before putting it away.

The Teflon soleplate available as an option is especially
suitable for dark and heat-sensitive materials,
as well as items of laundry with imprints or patches.
It is also used for refreshing and vertical steaming of
laundry items.
The Teflon soleplate can be mounted and removed during
ironing by inserting Thermostar Steam Iron into the Teflon
soleplate and pulling the spring completely over the iron
with the rubber strap from the front.
Take care not to touch the soleplate when the iron is hot!
After ironing with the Teflon sole, remove it from your iron,
otherwise damage and oxidation of the soleplate may occur.
For a more professional ironing experience, you can use the separately
available Thermostar Steam Ironing Station with heatable ironing surface,
as well as suction and inflation function.

Clean the plastic and metal parts of your Thermostar Steam Iron regularly
with a damp, soft cloth.
Once a year, you can unscrew the anti-scale rods on the back of the soleplate
with a commercially available allen key.
Place the rods in a decalcifying solution overnight. Before restarting,
please rinse it thoroughly.
Store the iron in a dry place. The temperature should not fall below
5 degrees Celsius.
If your Thermostar Steam Iron malfunctions in spite of proper handling, please
contact your Thermostar dealer immediately to discuss further action.
