ZERO TRACKING ERROR TURNTABLE
The turntable is divided into 3 levels which, according to the principle of ‚Constrained Layer Damping‘, ensure that
the unavoidable interference from the drive motor is kept as far away as possible from the tonearm and cartridge.
In the lower level are the 3 adjustable feet that connect the entire turntable to the stand. The drive motor is also
installed there, as well as the motor control and the XLR terminal. The center level, connected to the lower and
upper levels by a special adhesive layer, carries only the armboard and the tonearm. The platter bearing and the
control panel are mounted on the top level. By choosing dierent wood materials, each level is optimised in terms
of vibration. Disturbances are greatly reduced in stages from the drive level to the tonearm level. The result of this
mix of materials and the construction is the impressive quietness of the turntable.
The turntable is driven by a flat belt. The platter bearing is a 10mm plain bearing with a 7mm ceramic ball. The
bearing bottom is designed with a center hole so that the ceramic ball runs on a defined circular ring. This creates
an even, controlled braking torque that keeps the drive motor constantly running against a small load. This bra-
king torque calms the mechanical running of the motor. This eect is also further supported by the use of grease
for the bearing axle instead of oil. The platter is made of three parts: sub-platter, acrylic disc and outer ring. This
combination of materials contributes to the damping and smoothing of the platter.
Phono preamplifiers can be connected via balanced XLR outputs.
The tonearm is fixed to the arm board by a central steel ball and four screws arranged in a parallelogram. The
contact via these 5 point connections has an isolating eect for resonances between chassis and tonearm.
The circular arm board mounted on the middle level of the chassis also has only 4 point-shaped contact points
to the chassis.
The basic principle of this drive is the gradual isolation of the individual components while realising the greatest
possible mechanical strength.
Das Laufwerk ist aufgeteilt in 3 Ebenen, die nach dem Prinzip des ‚Constrained Layer Damping‘ dafür sorgen, dass
die unvermeidlichen Störungen aus dem Antriebsmotor so gut wie möglich vom Tonarm und Tonabnehmer fern-
gehalten werden. In der unteren Ebene befinden sich die 3 verstellbaren Standfüße, die den gesamten Plattenspie-
ler an den Standplatz ankoppeln. Ebenso ist dort der Antriebsmotor verbaut sowie die Motorsteuerung und die
XLR-Terminals. Die mittlere Ebene, durch eine spezielle Klebeschicht mit der unteren und der oberen Ebene ver-
bunden, trägt nur das Armboard und den Tonarm. In der obersten Ebene ist das Plattentellerlager montiert sowie
die Bedientastatur. Durch die Wahl von unterschiedlichen Holzwerkstoen wird jede Ebene für sich schwingungs-
technisch optimiert. Störungen werden von der Antriebsebene bis zur Tonarmebene zunehmend stark reduziert.
Das Ergebnis dieses Materialmixes und des Aufbaus ist die beeindruckende Ruhe des Laufwerkes.
Der Plattenteller wird über einen Flachriemen angetrieben. Das Plattentellerlager ist als 10mm Gleitlager mit ei-
ner 7mm Keramikkugel ausgeführt. Der Lagerspiegel hat eine Bohrung in der Mitte, so dass die Keramikkugel auf
einem definierten Kreisring läuft. Dadurch wird ein gleichmäßiges, kontrolliertes Bremsmoment erzeugt, das den
Antriebsmotor ständig gegen eine kleine Last laufen lässt. Dieses Bremsmoment beruhigt den mechanischen Lauf
des Motors. Dieser Eekt wird auch noch durch die Verwendung von Fett für die Lagerachse statt Öl unterstützt.
Der Plattenteller ist dreiteilig: Subteller, Acrylscheibe und Aussenring. Diese Materialkombination trägt zur Dämp-
fung und Beruhigung des Plattentellers bei.
Phonovorverstärker können über symmetrische XLR Ausgänge angeschlossen werden.
Die Befestigung des Tonarmes auf dem Armboard erfolgt über eine zentrale Stahlkugel und vier, im Parallelogramm
angeordnete Schrauben. Der Kontakt über diese 5 punktförmigen Verbindungen hat eine isolierende Wirkung für
Resonanzen zwischen Chassis und Tonarm. Das auf der mittleren Ebene des Chassis montierte kreisförmige Arm-
board hat ebenfalls nur 4 punktförmige Kontaktstellen zum Chassis.
Grundprinzip dieses Laufwerkes ist die stufenweise Isolierung der einzelnen Komponenten bei Realisierung größt-
möglicher mechanischer Festigkeit.

Richten Sie den Plattenteller mit den drei Stellfüssen exakt in Waage aus und kontrollieren Sie auch
die Libelle an der Tonarmbasis. Falls nicht schon vormontiert, montieren und justieren Sie das Ton-
abnehmersystem wie in der Bedienungsanleitung des Tonarmes Thiele TA01 beschrieben. Dort fin-
den Sie auch die Anleitung zur Fixierung des Tonarmes und für alle Einstellungen.
Level the turntable precisely using the three adjustable feet and also check the level indicator on
the tonearm base. If not already assembled, mount and adjust the cartridge as described in the ope-
rating instructions for the Thiele TA01 tonearm. There you will also find the instructions for fixing
the tonearm and for all adjustments.
Nehmen Sie das Laufwerk aus dem Flight-
case und legen Sie den Antriebsriemen auf.
Danach legen Sie den Plattenteller sowie
die Plattentellerauflage auf.
Take the turntable out of the flightcase and

Der Antriebsriemen ist voreingestellt, bei Alterung
kann er nachjustiert werden. Lösen Sie dazu die
drei Schrauben der Bodenplatte und verdrehen Sie
die Motoreinheit wie gewünscht mit Hilfe zweier
Münzen.
The drive belt is preset, if it ages it can be readjus-
ted. To do this, loosen the three screws of the base
plate and turn the motor unit as desired with the
help of two coins.

Nehmen Sie den Tonarm aus der Trans-
portverpackung und setzen Sie ihn auf den
Führungssäulen auf.

ging and place it on the guide posts

Danach nehmen Sie das Gegengewicht aus
der Transportverpackung und montieren Sie
es am Ende des Tonarmes. Stecken Sie das
Tonarmkabel mit dem Stecker in die Buchse
der Tonarmbasis.
Then take the counterweight out of the
transport packaging and mount it on the end
of the tonearm. Insert the tonearm cable with
the plug into the socket of the tonearm base.
