The9055 ProgrammableRefrigerantMeter allows you to quickly,efficiently and automatically charge
refrigerantinto,or recover refrigerantfrom,any air conditioning or refrigeration system.Itis themost
accurateand costeffectivemethod ofdispensing refrigerant.
TheAdvanced Chargeand Recovery Modes calculatethemaximum Charge/Recovery availablefor you
by taking into consideration thecylinder tareweightand themaximum weightcapacity ofthetank.
Selfpowered by four " AA " and one9V battery;the9055 is completely portableand with aweightcapac-
ity ofup to 220 Lbs.or 100 kg,itis capableofhanding awiderangeofcylinders,including recov-
ery/rechargetanks.
Theunitincludes both 1/4 " MaleFlarefittings and 1/2 " ACME fittings to allow connection to all stan-
dard charging manifolds and all types ofrefrigerantcylinders.The500 psirating ofthesolenoid valve
is compatiblewith and capableofhandling,all common refrigerants.
TheKeypad is color-coded and along with audibletones,permits simpleoperation.
Whenever an acceptableor affirmativeKey is pressed,apositive,high frequency beep is heard.
Unacceptableor incorrectkey presses areaccompanied by alower frequency sound,alerting theuser
thatan entry was madein error.

5.1 Set-Up
Place theuniton afirm and levelsurface.Theplatform and controlbox can beused whilethey
areinsidethecaseor they can beremoved and used separately.
5.2.Charging Connections
5.2.1 Connecttheshortestpossibleappropriaterefrigeranthosebetween thecylinder valveand the
9055 INLET (left) port.Ideally this hoseshould haveshut-off valves on both ends.
5.2.2 ConnecttheOUTLET (right) portofthe9055 to an evacuated supply hoseconnected to amani-
fold gaugeset.
5.3.Recovery Connections
5.3.1 Connectamanifold gaugesetto theINLET (left) port.
5.3.2 ConnecttheOUTLET (right) portto an approved recovery cylinder.
5.3.3 Connectthemanifold service hoses to A/C or refrigeration system.
5.4.Programming aCharge/Recovery
5.4.1 Turn on unitby pressing " I/0 " Key.Theunitwill " beep " once and after abriefsegmentdisplay of
all 8’s,itwill display zeros.
5.4.2 Selecttheunitofmeasurethatyou requireby pressing theKG/LBS key.You can selectLbs./oz.;
DecimalLbs.or Kilograms.Note: You canchangetheunits ofmeasureatany timeexceptwhen
programming acharge/recovery.
5.4.3 Press theQ0R(zero) Key
5.4.4 Place therefrigeranttankin thecenter oftheplatform.Thegross weightwill bedisplayed.
5.5 Programming aNormalCharge/Recovery:
5.5.1 Press theSET Key.The " Set " enunciator will flash.
5.5.2 Usethenumerickeypad to enter thevalue.Entering always starts from theleft mostcharacter.
Blanks arenotaccepted,zeroes mustbeentered ifanumericvalveis notdesired.Examples:

5.5.3 When programming,is complete,press theSET Key again to lock in programmed value.
Theprogrammed weightwill bedisplayed.Note: Theactualprogrammed amountdisplayed is
" rounded off " to thenearestdecimalamount,depending on which Resolution Modetheunitis
set.(see section 5.17)

5.6Programming anAdvancedCharge:Using theAdvanced ChargeModeallows your 9055 to
calculatethenetweightoftherefrigerantthatis actually availableby compensating for theTare
Weight(T.W.) ofthecylinder itself.
5.6.1 Press MODE Key.The " Set " and " Tare " enunciator will flash and CHARGE will bedisplayed in the
center.
5.6.2 Enter theTARE weightofthecylinder using method described in step 5.5.2.TheTareweightis
generally stamped on thetank,for example: " T.W.15.9 # " ,represents aTareWeightof15.9 Lbs.
5.6.3 Press SET.The " Set " enunciator will flash and CHARGE MAX will bedisplayed.Atthis pointyou
can either accepttheMAX CHARGE availableby simply pressing SET or ifyou desirealesser
amount,enter thatamountusing themethod described in step 5.5.2.Press SET and thepro-
grammed chargewill bedisplayed.
Note: Ifyou attemptto enter an amountlarger than the " MAX " amountdisplayed,theunitwill
display an " Error " messageand defaultback to the " MAX " availablecharge.
5.6.4 Moveto step 5.8 or 5.9
5.7Programming anAdvancedRecovery:Using theAdvanced Recovery Modeallows your 9055 to
calculatetheactualamountofrefrigerantthatcan beadded to thetankby taking into considera-
tion theWater Capacity (W.C.) and TareWeight(T.W.) ofthetank,whileleaving 20% ofthevol-
umeavailablefor possibleliquid expansion.
5.7.1 Press MODE key two times.The " Set " and " Max " enunciators will flash and RECOVER will bedis-
played in thecenter.
5.7.2 Enter theMaximum weightcapacity ofthecylinder using method described in step 5.5.2.The
Maximum weightis generally stamped on thetankas W.C. , for example: " W.C.26.2 # " ,is the
Water Capacity ofthetank,which represents theMaximum Weightof26.2 Lbs.
5.7.3 Press SET.The " Set " and " Tare " enunciators will flash and RECOVER will bedisplayed inthe center.
Enter theTareweightofthetank.
5.7.4 Press SET.The " Set " enunciator will flash and RECOVER MAX will bedisplayed.Note:the
Maximumdisplayedweightis 80%ofthevolumeofthetank.This is toeliminatethepossibility
ofthetankEXPLODING dueto liquid expansion.Thetankis considered " Full " at80% volume.
Atthis pointyou can either accepttheMAX RECOVERY amountdisplayed by simply pressing
SET or ifyou desirealesser amount,you can enter thatamountusing themethod described in
step 5.5.2.
Note:Ifyou attemptto program an amountlarger than theMaximum Recovery ratedisplayed,the
unitwill show " ERROR " when theSET Key is pressed.Thisis to preventtheoverfilling ofthetank.
5.7.5 Press SET and theprogrammed recovery amountwill bedisplayed.
5.8 Charge
5.8.1 Open therefrigerantcylinder valveto fill thehosebetween thecylinder and the9055.
Purgeair from thehose.Make sureManifold GaugeSetvalves areclosed.
5.8.2 Initiateflow by pressing theGO key.Thevalvewill open,theunitwill beep twice and refrigerant
will begin to flow.The " Auto " enunciator will appear on thedisplay.
As soon as theGo key is pressed,the9055 display will show zero,and then very quickly,asmall
quantity ofcharged refrigerantwill bedisplayed (along with theminus sign,indicating weightis
being removed).This is thevolumeofrefrigerant,which has moved into thehosebetween the
9055 and themanifold.
5.8.3 Open theManifold valves slowly to allow refrigerantflow into thesystem.Thenumbers on the
display will continueto increaseas refrigerantflows outofthecylinder,indicating the amount
thathas been charged.

5.8.4 Ifitis necessary to interrupttheoperation,for exampleto replace acylinder,thePAUSE feature
can beused.See section 5.10 for detailed instructions.
5.8.5 When displayed valuereaches programmed amount,four beeps will beheard,thevalvecloses,
" Auto " enunciator will disappear from thedisplay and theamountofrefrigerantcharged will
remain displayed.
5.8.6 Leavethemanifold valve(s) open for few seconds in order to draw therefrigerantfrom the
supply hoseinto thesystem.Closemanifold valves.
5.9 Recovery
5.9.1 Open themanifold valves or switch on recovery unit,to fill thehosebetween the
manifold and the9055.Then open therefrigerantcylinder valve.
5.9.2 Initiateflow by pressing theGO Key.Thevalvewill open,theunitwill beeptwice and refrigerant
will begin to flow into thecylinder.The " Auto " enunciator will appear on thedisplay and thedis-
play will countup as therefrigerantis added.
5.9.3 Ifitis necessary to interrupttheoperation,for exampleto replace thecylinder,thePAUSE
featurecan beused.See section 5.10 for detailed instructions.
5.9.4 When displayed valuereaches programmed amount,four beeps will beheard,thevalvecloses,
" Auto " enunciator will disappear from thedisplay and theamountofrefrigerantrecovered will
remain displayed.
5.9.5 Closemanifold valves and cylinder valve.
5.10 PauseFeature
5.10.1 The9055 features aPAUSE/CANCEL Key thatmay beused during automaticdispensing to
interruptflow or when manually charging to hold thedisplayed value.This is usefulifit
becomes necessary to switch refrigerantcylinders or whenallowing system pressures to equal-
ize.Itis also usefulwhen programming a criticalcharge(less than 8 ounces) and itis desirable
to lock thescaledisplay to preventdrift or bounce,when purging ahose,opening and closing
avalveor heating/shifting thecylinder.
5.10.2WhileinAutomaticMode:Press thePAUSE/CANCEL Key.This will freezethedisplay,thevalve
will close,refrigerantflow will stop,the " Auto " enunciator will flash and theunitwill beep every
second.
5.10.3 To resumeautomaticdispensing,press theGO Key.Thevalvewill reopen,refrigerantwill flow,
the " Auto " enunciator will stop flashing and theunitwill stop beeping.
5.10.4WhileintheManualMode:Press thePAUSE/CANCEL Key.This will freezethedisplay,theunit
will beep every second and the " Auto " enunciator will flash.Caution:Only do this ifyou arenot,
or havestopped,charging.With theManualPauseactivated,any weightadded or removed
from theplatform will beignored.
5.10.5 To resumethe " metering " ofrefrigerant,press thePAUSE/CANCEL Key again.
The " Auto " enunciator will stop flashing and theunitwill stop beeping.
5.11 CancelFeature
5.11.1 To cancelan inputpress thePAUSE/CANCEL Key.
5.11.2 To Canceltheoperation whilein theautomaticMode,atany timeafter theGO Key has been
pressed,press thePAUSE/CANCEL Key twice.The " Auto " enunciator will disappear and the
amountofrefrigerantcharged/recovered will remain displayed.Caution:Once this is done,the
remaining programmed cyclecannotbecompleted.

5.12 RepeatProgramFeature
5.12.1 For multiplecharges ofthesameamount,theREPEAT Key may beused to re-enter and lock in
aduplicateprogram,allowing for onestep charging.
5.12.2 After entering thedesired program valueas described earlier,and completing onechargecycle,
theprogram remains in memory.Theamountofrefrigerantcharged/recovered will remain dis-
played.
5.12.3 After making thenecessary hosedisconnections,and re-connections,press theREPEAT Key.
The " Set " enunciator will appear,and theprogrammed valuewill bedisplayed.
5.12.4 Press theGO Key.
Thecyclemay berepeated as many times as desired.
Note: IftheCANCEL feature,as described in section 5.10,is used beforetheGO Keyis pressed,
thememory is erased and theRepeatFeaturewill notfunction.Ifpressed during apausein
charging,itstops thepresentoperation,butdoes noterasethememory.Ifhowever theunitis
turned off,theamountoftherepeatchargewill beerased from thememory.
5.13 Memory Feature:TheMemory featureallows you permanently thestoreup to 99
charge/recovery programs for futurerecall.
5.13.1 To Storeaprogram charge,whilein theprogramming modeand after entering theamountofa
charge/recovery (Sec.5.5.1 and 5.5.2) and BEFORE pressing SET,press theMEM Key.
A " P " will bedisplayed along with two dashes ( __).Enter alocation for theprogrammed
amountby using two digits,from 01 to 99,for futurerecall.After entering thenumber you
haveselected,press theMEM Key.
Theunitwill go back totheSET mode and you can either continuenormaloperation by pressing
SET or you can changethecurrentprogrammed amountby pressing theSET Key twice.
Note: Atthis point,ifdesired,you can continuestoring various program values in memory.
Theamounts thatarestored will bein thesameunits ofmeasurethatwereprogrammed.
5.13.2 To Recall astored program,press theMEM Key whilein theweighing mode.Enter the
program location number (01 to 99) and press MEM again.
Theprogrammed amountwill bedisplayed and ifyou areready to chargeor recover,simply
press theGO Key and thevalvewill open.
WARNING:Ifthe9055 is sentin for repair and re-calibration,all stored memory values will belost.
5.14 Fail SafeFeature:The9055 is designed with aFail Safefeaturethatwill closethevalvein the
eventoflostpower dueto low battery voltageor iftheunitis inadvertently turned off.
5.15 Over-rangeIndication:IftheGross Weightapplied to theplatform exceeds thespecified range,
theunitwill display asingle " 1 " atleft sideofthedisplay.
5.16 Battery Status Indicators
5.16.1 When the9-voltbattery is Low,a9-voltbattery enunciator will appear (steady) in thelower left
corner ofthedisplay.Ifthebattery voltageis insufficientfor operation,a " dashed " line
(_____) will bedisplayed across thedisplay.Note: The9055 will function as astandard
scalewith only a9-voltbattery.
5.16.2 When the " AA " batteries arelow,an enunciator depicting two " AA " batteries will flash.
Ifthebatteries aremissing or dead,theenunciator will beon steady.

5.17 Low Resolution Mode
5.17.1 In theNormalResolution mode,theextremely high resolution ofthescalemay lead to
noticeable,yetsmall,fluctuations in thereading caused by weightshifts or wind.To
alleviatethis aLow Resolution modemay beactivated.
5.17.2 Press and hold theKG/LBS Key for 3 seconds.Theunitofmeasureenunciator will
begin to flash.
5.17.3 ReleasetheKey.Resolution is now reduced by a
factor of5 (1.0 oz./.050 Lbs./20g) and will providestablereadings under extreme
conditions.To return to thenormalresolution mode,depress theKG/LBS Key again
and hold until theenunciators stop flashing.
5.18 Back Light
Holding theMODE Key down for 3 seconds will enabletheBack Lightfeature.
To disabletheBack Light,hold down theMODE Key until thelightgoes out.
6.1 Battery Installation
6.1.1 Removethebattery cover located on thebacksideoftheControlBox.
6.1.2 Install a9-voltalkalinebattery in thebattery clip and storeitin thelower section.
6.1.3 Install 4 each " AA " 1.5-voltbatteries in space provided.Thepolarity is indicated in
thebottom ofthecompartment.
6.2 Cleaning Port Filters
6.2.1 The9055 inletand outletports contain finemesh screen filters to preventdirtor
particulatefrom entering thevalveand causing theseatto leak.In theeventthatyou
noticed reduced flow through thevalve,or ifyou haverecovered dirty/contaminated
refrigerant,itis recommended thatthesefilters becleaned.
6.2.2 To clean thefilters:Turn theuniton,press SET;enter an amount,press SET and
then theGO key to open thevalve.
6.2.3 Connectasource ofclean and dry shop or compressed air (80-100 psirecommended)
to theOUTLET (right) port.
6.2.4 Warning:EnsurethattheINLET (left) portis pointed away from yourselfand others,
then turn on thesource and allow thecompressed air to run backwards through the
valvefor severalseconds.
6.2.5 Removetheair source and turn off the9055.

ENTRADA (izquierda) del9055.Lo ideales queestamangueracuentecon válvulas decierre
rápido en ambos extremos.
5.2.2 Conecteelpuerto deSALIDA (derecha) del9055 aunamangueradeentradaalvacío conectada
aun juego demanómetros deldistribuidor.
5.3.Conexiones derecuperación
5.3.1 Conecteun juego demanómetros deldistribuidor alpuerto deENTRADA (izquierda).
5.3.2 Conecteelpuerto deSALIDA (derecha) aun cilindro derecuperación aprobado.
5.3.3 Conectelas mangueras deservicio deldistribuidor alaA/C o sistemaderefrigeración.
5.4.Programación deunacarga/recuperación

5.6.1 PulselateclaMODE (modo).Parpadean los indicadores " Set " (establecer) y " Tare " (en vacío),y en el
centro delapantallasemuestraCHARGE (carga).
5.6.2 Introduzca elpeso EN VACÍO delcilindro usando elmétodo descrito en 5.5.2.Elpeso en vacío
generalmenteestámarcado en eldepósito,por ejemplo: " T.W.15.9 #”,representaun peso en vacío de
15,9 Lbs.
5.6.3 PulseSET (establecer).Parpadea elindicador " Set " (establecer) y en lapantallasemuestraCHARGE
MAX (cargamáxima).En estepunto,puedeaceptar laCARGA MÁXIMA disponiblepulsando simple-
menteSET (establecer) o siquiereunacantidad menor,introduzca dichacantidad utilizando elméto-

5.6.4 Pasealos apartados 5.8 ó 5.9
5.7 Programación deunarecuperación avanzadaUsando elmodo derecuperación avanzada,su 9055
puedecalcular lacantidad realderefrigerantequepuedeañadirsealdepósito teniendo en cuentala
capacidad deagua(W.C., según siglas en inglés) y peso en vacío (T.W. , según siglas en inglés) del
depósito,alavez quedejael20% delvolumen disponibleparaunaposibleexpansión dellíquido.
5.7.1 PresionelateclaMODE (modo) dos veces.Parpadean los indicadores " Set " (establecer) y " Max " ,y en
elcentro delapantallasemuestraRECOVER (recuperación).
5.7.2 Introduzca lacapacidad depeso máximo delcilindro usando elmétodo descrito en 5.5.2.Elpeso
máximo generalmenteestámarcado en eldepósito como W.C., por ejemplo: " W.C.26.2 #”,es la
capacidad deaguadeldepósito,querepresentaelpeso máximo de26,2 Lbs.
5.7.3 PulseSET (establecer).Parpadean los indicadores " Set " (establecer) y " Tare " (en vacío),y en elcentro
delapantallasemuestraRECOVER (recuperación).
Introduzca elpeso en vacío deldepósito.
5.7.4 PulseSET (establecer).Parpadea elindicador " Set " (establecer) y en lapantallasemuestra
RECOVERY MAX (recuperación máxima).
Nota:elpesomáximoquesemuestraes el80%del
volumendeldepósito.Esto sehace paraeliminar laposibilidad dequeeldepósito explotepor la
expansión dellíquido.Eldepósito seconsideralleno al80% desu volumen.En estepunto,puede
aceptar laMAX RECOVERY (recuperación máxima) quesemuestrapulsando simplementeSET
(establecer) o siquiereunacantidad menor,introduzca dichacantidad utilizando elmétodo descrito
en 5.5.2.
Nota:Siintentaprogramar unacantidad mayor quelatasaderecuperación máximamostradaen pantalla,la

5.8 Carga
5.8.1 Abralaválvuladelcilindro derefrigeración parallenar lamangueraentreelcilindro y el9055.
Purgueelairedelamanguera.Asegúresequelas válvulas deljuego demanómetros deldistribuidor
están cerradas.
5.8.2 Inicieelflujo pulsando lateclaGO (iniciar).Laválvulaseabre,launidad emitedos pitidos y el
refrigeranteempiezaafluir.Aparece en pantallaelindicador " Auto " .
Nadamás pulsar latecladeinicio,lapantalladel9055 muestracero,y después rápidamentese
muestraunapequeñacantidad derefrigerantecargado (junto con elsigno menos,indicando queel
peso sereduce).Estees elvolumen derefrigerantequesehatrasladado alamangueraentreel
9055 y eldistribuidor.
5.8.3 Abralas válvulas deldistribuidor lentamenteparapermitir queelrefrigerantefluyaen elsistema.
Los números delapantallaseguirán aumentando amedidaqueelrefrigerantesaledelcilindro,lo que
indica lacantidad quesehacargado.

5.8.4 Sihay queinterrumpir laoperación,por ejemplo parasustituir un cilindro,puedeutilizar la
función PAUSE (pausa).Consultelasección 5.10 paraobtener instrucciones detalladas.
5.8.5 Cuando elvalor quesemuestraen pantallaalcanzalacantidad programada,seescuchan cuatro
pitidos,laválvulasecierra,desaparece elindicador " Auto " delapantalla,y sesiguemostrando la
cantidad derefrigerantecargado.
5.8.6 Dejeabiertas las válvulas deldistribuidor duranteunos segundos paraextraer elrefrigerantedela
mangueradesuministro haciaelsistema.Cierrelas válvulas deldistribuidor.
5.9 Recuperación
5.9.1 Abralas válvulas deldistribuidor o enciendalaunidad derecuperación,parallenar latuberíaentre
eldistribuidor y el9055.Abradespués laválvuladelcilindro derefrigeración.
5.9.2 Inicieelflujo pulsando lateclaGO (iniciar).Laválvulaseabre,launidad emitedos pitidos y el
refrigeranteempiezaafluir haciaelcilindro.Aparece en pantallaelindicador " Auto " y lapantalla
cuentahaciaarribaamedidaqueseañadeelrefrigerante.
5.9.3 Sihay queinterrumpir laoperación,por ejemplo parasustituir elcilindro,puedeutilizar lafunción
PAUSE (pausa).Consultelasección 5.10 paraobtener instrucciones detalladas.
5.9.4 Cuando elvalor quesemuestraen pantallaalcanzalacantidad programada,seescuchan cuatro piti
dos,laválvulasecierra,desaparece elindicador " Auto " delapantalla,y sesiguemostrando la
cantidad derefrigeranterecuperado.
5.9.5 Cierrelas válvulas deldistribuidor y laválvuladelcilindro.
5.10 Función Pausa
5.10.1 El9055 incorporaunateclaPAUSE/CANCEL (pausa/cancelar) quepuedeutilizarsedurantela
distribución automática parainterrumpir elflujo,o durantelacargamanualparamantener elvalor
mostrado en pantalla.Esto es útil sisehace necesario alternar los cilindros derefrigeración o
cuando seigualan las presiones delsistema.También es útil alprogramar unacargacrítica
(menos de226,8 gramos/8 onzas),y es recomendablebloquear lapantallaparaevitar quevaríe
cuando sepurgaunamanguera,seabrey cierraunaválvula,o secaliente/cambiaelcilindro.
5.10.2 En modo automático:PulselateclaPAUSE/CANCEL (pausa/cancelar).Esto paralizalapantalla,la
válvulasecierra,elflujo derefrigerantesedetiene,parpadea elindicador " Auto " y launidad pita
cadasegundo.
5.10.3 Paracontinuar con ladistribución automática,pulselateclaGO (iniciar).Laválvulavuelvea
abrirse,elrefrigerantefluye,elindicador " Auto " dejadeparpadear y launidad dejadepitar.
5.10.4 En modo manual:PulselateclaPAUSE/CANCEL (pausa/cancelar).Esto paralizalapantalla,launidad
pitacadasegundo y parpadea elindicador " Auto " .Precaución:Hágalo únicamentesino está car-
gando
o sihadejado dehacerlo.Con lapausaen modo manualactivada,seignoracualquier peso que
seañadao seretiredelaplataforma.
5.10.5 Paracontinuar lamedición derefrigerante,pulselateclaPAUSE/CANCEL (pausa/cancelar) denuevo.
Elindicador " Auto " dejadeparpadear y launidad dejadepitar.
5.11 Función Cancelar
5.11.1 Paracancelar unaentrada,pulselateclaPAUSE/CANCEL (pausa/cancelar).
5.11.2 Paracancelar laoperación en modo automático,en cualquier momento tras pulsar lateclaGO
(iniciar),pulselateclaPAUSE/CANCEL (pausa/cancelar) dos veces.Desaparece elindicador " Auto "
y siguemostrándoselacantidad derefrigerantecargada/recuperada.Precaución:Unavez hecho
esto,elciclo programado restanteno puedefinalizarse.

5.12 Función derepetirprograma
5.12.1 Pararealizar múltiples cargas delamismacantidad,puedeutilizar lateclaREPEAT (repetir) para
volver aintroducir un programaduplicado y bloquearlo,permitiendo realizar lacargaen un solo
paso.
5.12.2 Tras introducir elvalor delprogramadeseado taly como sedescribeanteriormente,y comple-
tando un ciclo decarga,elprogramapermanece en lamemoria.Lacantidad derefrigerantecar-
gado/recuperado siguemostrándoseen pantalla.
5.12.3 Tras realizar las necesarias desconexiones y conexiones demangueras,pulselateclaREPEAT
(repetir).Aparece elindicador " Set " (fijar),y semuestraelvalor programado.
5,12.4 PulselateclaGO (iniciar).Elciclo puederepetirsetantas veces como sedesee.
Nota: Silafunción Cancelar,descritaen lasección 5.10,seutilizaantes depulsar lateclaGO
(iniciar),seborralamemoriay lafunción Repetir no funciona.Sisepulsaduranteunapausa
duranteunacarga,detienelaoperación actual,pero no borralamemoria.Sin embargo,sila
unidad sedesconecta,lacantidad decargarepetidaseborradelamemoria.
5.13 Función dememoria:Lafunción dememorialepermitealmacenar permanentementehasta99
programas decarga/recuperación pararecuperarlos en elfuturo.
5.13.1 Paraalmacenar un programa,cuando seencuentreen elmodo deprogramación y después de
introducir lacantidad deunacarga/recuperación (secc.5.5.1 y 5.5.2) y ANTES depulsar SET
(establecer),pulselateclaMEM.
Semuestraen pantallauna " P " junto con dos guiones ( __).Introduzca unaubicación parala
cantidad programadautilizando dos dígitos,de01 a99,pararecuperarlaen elfuturo.Tras intro-
ducir elnúmero quehayaseleccionado,pulselateclaMEM.
Launidad vuelvealmodo SET (establecer) y usted puedecontinuar con elfuncionamiento nor-
malpulsando SET o puedecambiar lacantidad programadaactualpulsando lateclaSET dos
veces.
Nota: En estepunto,silo desea,puedeseguir guardando varios valores deprogramaen la
memoria.Las cantidades queseguardan estarán en las mismas unidades demedidaen las que
fueron programadas.
5.13.2 Pararecuperar un programaalmacenado,pulselateclaMEM cuando estéen elmodo depesa-
do.Introduzca elnúmero deubicación delprograma(01 a99) y pulseMEM denuevo.
Lacantidad programadasemuestraen pantalla,y siestápreparado paracargar o recupera,
pulsesimplementelateclaGO (iniciar) y seabrirálaválvula.
ADVERTENCIA:cuando seenvíael9055 areparar y volverlo acalibrar,todos los valores almacenados
en lamemoriasepierden.
5.14 Función deprotección contrafallos:El9055 incorporaunafunción deprotección contrafallos,
quecierralaválvulacuando hay unapérdidadepotenciapor faltadetensión en las baterías o
siseapagalaunidad accidentalmente.
5.15 Indicadordesobrecarga:Sielpeso totalqueseaplica alaplataformasuperaelrango especi-
ficado,launidad muestraun único " 1 " en laparteizquierdadelapantalla.
5.16 Indicadores delestado delabatería
5.16.1 Cuando labateríade9 voltios estábaja,aparece un indicador debateríade9 voltios (fijo) en la
esquinaizquierdadelapantalla.Silatensión delabateríano es suficienteparaelfun-
cionamiento,aparece unalínea discontinua(_____) alo largo delapantalla.Nota: El9055
funcionacomo básculaestándar simplementecon unabateríade9 voltios.
5.16.2 Cuando las baterías " AA " están bajas,parpadea un indicador quemuestrados baterías " AA " .
Silas baterías no están o sehan descargado deltodo,elindicador quedafijo.

5.17 Modo debajaresolución
5.17.1 En elmodo deresolución normal,unamuy altaresolución delabásculapuedeproducir fluc-
tuaciones delalecturaperceptibles,aunquepequeñas,por cambios depeso o viento.Para
evitar esto,puedeactivarseelmodo deresolución baja.
5.17.2 Pulsey mantengapulsadalateclaKG/LBS durante3 segundos.Launidad delindicador demedi-
daempiezaaparpadear.
5.17.3 Sueltelatecla.Laresolución quedareducidapor un factor de5 (1,0 oz./0,05 Lbs./20g) y
proporcionalecturas estables en condiciones extremas.Paravolver almodo deresolución
normal,sueltedenuevo lateclaKG/LBS y manténgalahastaquelos indicadores dejen de
parpadear.
5.18 Iluminación defondo
SimantienepulsadalateclaMODE (modo) durante3 segundos,seactivalafunción deilumi-
nación defondo.Paradesactivar lailuminación defondo,mantengapulsadalateclaMODE
(modo) hastaquelaluz seapague.
6 Instalación delabatería
6.1.1 Retirelatapadelas baterías situadaen laparteposterior delacajadecontrol.
6.1.2 Instaleunabateríaalcalinade9 voltios en elalojamiento delabatería,y colóquelo en lasección
inferior.
6.1.3 Instale4 baterías " AA " de1,5 voltios en elespacio correspondiente.Lapolaridad estáindicada
en elfondo delcompartimento.
6.2 Limpiezadelos filtros delos puertos
6.2.1 Los puertos deentraday salidadel9055 contienen filtros decribaderejillafinaparaevitar que
entren en laválvulasuciedad o partículas,y provoquen queelasiento tengafugas.En caso de
queobserveun flujo reducido através delaválvula,o siharecuperado refrigerantesucio/con-
taminado,serecomiendaquedichos filtros selimpien.
6.2.2 Paralimpiar los filtros:Enciendalaunidad,pulseSET (establecer);introduzca unacantidad,
pulseSET y después lateclaGO (iniciar) paraabrir laválvula.
6.2.3 Conecteunafuentedeairecomprimido o equipo limpio y seco (80-100 psirecomendado) al
puerto deSALIDA (derecha).
6.2.4 Advertencia: Asegúresedequeelpuerto deENTRADA (izquierda) apuntaen dirección opuesta
austed y aotras personas,enciendaentonces lafuentey permitaqueelairecomprimido cir-
culehaciaatrás através delaválvuladurantealgunos segundos.
