SettingandInstallation
（1）Avoidbeingwetwiththewater.

UsingProduct

2. PRODUCTINTRODUCTION
2.1Overview
Matrixcontrollercanrealizebusinessbroadcastingandfirealarmlinkageemergencybroadcasting
by supporting Peering Frame and fire alarm. It is a Public Address system and fire protection
linkage alarmsystemsuitable forlargepublic places such as railways,business offices, factories,
schools,hospitals,shoppingmalls,entertainmentplaces,etc.
MatrixController:
(1) Standard 2U rack-mounted design, 4.3-inch true color LCD screen, which can display
informationsuchasworkingstatusandequipmentparameters.
(2) Support emergency broadcast function, can receive fire alarm linkage alarm signal from fire
alarmcontrollerforemergencybroadcast.
(3)Supportlocalbroadcast,networkbroadcast,schedulebroadcast,etc.;canrealizemulti-receiver
andmulti-sourcebroadcast,schedulebroadcast,controlinputtriggersourcebroadcastandother
functions.
(4)Supportzonecontrol,youcanmanuallyselecttheaudiosourceandzones,supportthecontrol
oflocalaudioinputplaybacktoanyaudiooutput,andcanplayanyaudiosourceinanyzones.
(5) Optional hand-held microphone can be used for general manual broadcasting and fire
emergencybroadcasting.
(6)Built-inmonitorspeakers,whichcanmonitortheaudiosourceandzone’saudio.
(7)Withautomaticnoisecontrolfunction,itcanmonitortheexternalenvironmentalnoiseofeach
outputchannelinrealtime,automaticallyadjusttheoutputsoundpressurelevel,andimprovethe
clarityofthesound.
(8)Withself-checkfunction,theself-checkisrealizedthroughthe"self-check"buttononthepanel.
During the self-check process, all the indicators on the front panel are always on (multi-color
indicatorsalternatelydisplaydifferentcolors),andthefaultindicationbuzzersoundscontinuously.
During the self-check process,all devices directly connected to thematrix controller execute the
self-checkfunction.
(9)Withfaultdetectionfunction,itcan detecttheopencircuit,short circuit, groundfault,power
amplifierfaultandpowersupplyfaultofthehorncircuit.
(10) It has the function of power amplifier reverse backup. When a power amplifier failure is
detected,itcanautomaticallyswitchtothebackuppoweramplifiertoensurethatthebroadcastis
notinterrupted.
(11) Equipped with dual network ports, supporting network redundancy backup, one network
interruption,canautomaticallyswitchtoanothernetwork.
(12) With CPU OFF function, when the device crashes or the network is paralyzed, the CPU OFF
functioncanbeturnedontorealizethewholeareabroadcasting.
(13)Supportredundancyforpowersupply,usuallyfrompowersupplyA,whenthepowersupplyA
fails,itcanautomaticallyswitchtothepowersupplyB;whenthepowersupplyAreturnstonormal,
itwillautomaticallyreturntothepowersupplyA.
PeeringFrame:
(1) The standard 4U rack design is used to supply power to the digital power amplifier module

open;switchtotheONpositionmeansthatthehandheldmicrophonechannelisclosed(Note:
whentheCPUisdown,pleasemanuallyswitchtoOFFtoenable).
3EmergencyBroadcastButton:pressthisbuttontomanuallyinitiateemergencybroadcast.The
buttonhasaprotectivecovertopreventmisuse.Whenyouneedtoswitchtomanual
emergencymode,firstlifttheprotectivecover,thenpressthebutton,thebuttonindicator
lightsred.
4PresetButtonandstatusindicator:Pressthepreset1-preset3button,thepresetbroadcast
taskwillbeexecuted.(Note:Thepresetbroadcastneedstobeconfiguredinthe"VX-1000
SettingSoftware"inadvance.)

Installationsteps
Step1：RemovethefourM3*10countersunkscrewsonthepanelofthePeeringFrame,and
thenremovethepanel.
Step2：Loosenthethumbscrew(noneedtocompletelyunscrewit,thelockpiececanbe
droppedtothelowerright),andturnthelockpiecetothelowerright(hookdown).
Step3：Pushthedigitalpoweramplifiermoduleintothecorrespondingposition.
Step4：Turnthelockingplatetotheupperleft,withthehookpositionfacingup,hookthe
hookpositiononthebottomofthedigitalpoweramplifiermodule,andthentightenthehand
screw.
Step5：Connectthecableanduse4M3*10countersunkscrewstoassemblethepanel.

4. Instructions
4.1VX-1000Configurationtooloperatinginstructions
4.1.1SoftwareInstallation
Double-clicktheVX-1000installerandpress"Next"toinstall.Aftertheinstallationiscomplete,
select"Runasadministrator"software.
4.1.2Basicparametersettings
(1) New project file：Click "File"-"New" in the main interfaceof the software, enter the project
name in the pop-up dialog box, and create a new project file. After the new creation is
complete,relatedsettingssuchassystemnameandscreendisplaycanbemadeonthe"Basic
Settings"interface.
(2) Adddevice：Inthe"DeviceList"interface,adddevices,setdeviceIPandotheroperations.After
theconfigurationsarecompleted,thesystemwillsaveconfigurationsautomatically.

(3) Matrix extended partition configuration: Set the number of matrix extended partition
extendersvX-1010ZE-EA.IfthevX-1010ZE-EAisnotconnected,thenyoudonotneedtosetthis
parameter. A maximum of 16 partition extenders can be added.After the configurations are
completed,thesystemwillsaveconfigurationsautomatically.

(4) DeviceConfiguration：Afterthedeviceisadded,thenamesoftheinputandoutputchannels
and control input and output channels of each matrix controller can be customized in the
device configuration interface. After the configurations are completed, the system will save
configurationsautomatically.
Theconfigurationofthematrixcontrollerisdescribedasfollows:
(1) Select the corresponding matrix controller in EquipmentList. You can customize the
input/output channel name, volume, whether to enable the ground detection function, and
thenameofthecontrolinput/outputchannelforeachmatrixcontroller.(Note:Inputchannels
1-4respectivelycorrespondtothe4-channelaudiosourceinputofthematrixcontroller,and
output channels 1-4 respectively correspond to the 4-channel line output of the matrix
controller.Groundingdetectionisnotenabledwhenusingda-Xpoweramplifier.)
(2) If partition controller extenders VX-1010ZE-EA are connected, set the channel type in

Output Settings. To connect one power amplifier to the partition extender, select single
channel;toconnecttwopoweramplifierstothepartitionextender,selectdoublechannel.
Asinglechannelsupportsonlyonebroadcastoutput.Youcanselectanychannel1,2,3,or4as
theoutputchannel.
DualchannelSupportsBGMandtwoprioritybroadcasts.Youcanselect1,2,or3,or4output
channels (1 indicates channels 1 and 2, and 3 indicates channels 3 and 4). BGM broadcasts
outputfrom2and4,andprioritybroadcastsoutputfrom1and3.
(5) Createamedialibrary：Clickthe"Add"buttoninthe"MediaLibrary"toaddaudiofiles(usedas
a broadcast source). After the configurations are completed, the system will save
configurationsautomatically.

(6) Broadcast List Setting：Set the broadcast audio file playlist (need to add audio files in the
"Media Library" in advance). After the configurations are completed, the system will save
configurationsautomatically.
(7) Setaudiosourcepriority：Settheaudiosourcetype(BGM/Business/Emergency)andpriorityof

thedeviceinputchannelandplaylist.Aftertheconfigurationsarecompleted,thesystemwill
saveconfigurationsautomatically.
(8) SetGroup:OnGroupingSetting,multi-zonecanbeconbinedtoonegroup.
