Troubleshooting tips
First set up the Toniebox and connect it to the Wi-Fi. To do
this, you will need a smartphone, a tablet or a computer.
The setup is simple. Find a step-by-step explanation at

Switch on
To switch on the Toniebox, pinch one
of the ears between finger and thumb.
After 10 minutes of inactivity, the Toniebox
switches off automatically.
Skip forward and backward
When your download is complete, to skip
forward or backward between chapters,
just tap the side of the Toniebox. To
fast-forward or rewind, tilt the Toniebox.
Listen and pause
When the LED on the Toniebox turns
to a steady green light, a Tonie can be
placed on top. Pause the Tonie? Simply
take it off the box. Put it back on again,
and it will continue where it left off.
Restart?
If all else fails, a restart can help: Turn the
Toniebox without the charging station upside
down and press both ears until you hear an
audio signal (after about 10 seconds).
Reset to factory settings
Turn the Toniebox with the connected charg-
ing station upside down while keeping the
ears pressed until you hear an audio signal
(after about 10 seconds). Beware: all connec-
tions, contents and settings will be deleted!

Pinch the big ear to make the Toniebox
louder, pinch the small ear to make it
quieter.

Warning – low battery! Place your
Toniebox on the charging station
to recharge the battery.

Place the Creative-Tonie on the
Toniebox. First, a connection to the
Toniecloud must be established. As
soon as the Creative-Tonie responds
with a voice message, it is ready to use.
Important: As long as the blue status
LED is flashing (download in process), the
Toniebox must be within Wi-Fi range.
Synchronise and put Creative-Tonie
back on top. Take the Tonie off the
Toniebox and press one of the ears for 3
seconds until you hear an audio signal.
When the LED turns green again and
you hear a second audio signal, replace
the Tonie on the Toniebox and the new
content will download.
Start listening
As soon as the LED turns green,
all your new content is on
the Toniebox.
Record your own audio content to the
Toniecloud on https://my.tonies.com.
The Creative-Tonie automatically
appears in the user’s account, where
existing audio files (MP3, own recor-
dings, etc.) can be uploaded and
allocated to the Creative-Tonie. It
has room for up to 90 minutes of au-
dio content.
… or use the Tonie-App to record
your own voice or audio content,
upload it to the Toniecloud and
allocate it to the Creative-Tonie.

How the Creative-Tonie works
Tonies with stories, music or
other great content
Beside the Creative-Tonies, there are Tonies that come
with their own content, like stories, music or things to
learn. The first time a Tonie is put on the Toniebox, its
content is automatically downloaded from the Tonie-
cloud as long as there is a Wi-Fi connection. Once you
have downloaded the content over Wi-Fi, you can
listen to it everywhere. The category, recommended
age and running time are stated on the packaging.
Attached to each package is a booklet with a tracklist
and brief descriptions. By the way: all Tonies and
Creative-Tonies are hand-painted.
