1 System requirements
• Pentium 400 MHz or equivalent processor
• Windows 2000 or XP
• 256 MB RAM minimum
• 10 MB available hard disk space.
• One available USB port (1.1 or 2.0)
• SkypeTM must be installed. ( version 2.0 or higher). : please download at http://www.skype.com
• One CD-ROM drive
2 Connection diagram
3 Software Installation
If SkypeTM is not already installed on your computer, please visit http://www.skype.com and follow the instructions to install SkypeTM.
Verify that SkypeTM is working before installing the Topcom Webt@lker 301.
Before you connect the Webt@cer 301 to your computer, please install the Topcom Software first !!
• Please insert the provided CD into your CD-ROM drive.
• The autorun screen will start.
– Please click Install Software
all the snapped images of installation mentioned in this manual are based on Windows XP. For other windows
operating system, all the procedures are the same but the screens are not exactly the same.

– Please make sure that you accept the licence agreement before you click "Agree"
The installation will continue now.
– Now plug in the USB adapter and click OK
New hardware will be detected.

4 Configuring SkypeTM speed dial numbers
Before you can make SkypeTM calls, you need to assign speed dial numbers to your SkypeTM buddies.
Choose a name in your buddy list and click the right mouse key.
– Choose the "Set Speed-Dial" option
– Now assign a speed dial number to this buddy ( from 00 to 99 ) and click OK
Repeat this action for all your SkypeTM buddies.
5 Making and receiving calls
5.1 Receiving calls
When you receive an incoming call (from fixed line or SkypeTM) your connected phone will ring.
• From fixed line : Just hook off the phone to start the conversation.
•FromSkype
TM : If your phone supports FSK caller ID, the display of your phone will show the callers name and SkypeTM speed dial
number. Just hook off the phone to start the conversation.
5.2 Making calls
• Fixed line call : (only if your fixed line is connected ) You can make fixed line calls in exactly the same way as if your phone is directly
connected to your fixed line.
• SkypeTM :
– To call a SkypeTM Buddy : dial "##xx*" (xx is the SkypeTM Speed Dial number)
– Skype Out : "##00…….*" (00…… is the dialled number )
All SkypeTM (out) numbers need to start with "##" and need to be terminated with "*"

6 Call Waiting / Conference Call
6.1 Call Waiting (Switch between fixed line call and SkypeTM call
You can switch between a fixed line call and a SkypeTM call by pressing "#1" during your conversation.
To terminate the current call en switch to the other call, press "##"
6.2 Conference call
If a call comes in on the other line (SkypeTM or fixed line), a knocking tone will be heard in the current call. You can setup a conference
call (three party call) by pressing "#2" during your conversation.
The fixed line call and the SkypeTM call will be joined together.
7 SkypeTM Voicemail
If you have received a SkypeTM Voicemail message you will hear an intermittent beep tone in the VOIP dial tone.
• Pick up the phone and dial "##" to get the VOIP dial tone.
• Now press "*" to access the voicemail menu.
• The first message will be played automatically.
• A "beep" tone indicates the end of the message. ("beep beep beep" indicates the last message)
• during/after playback you have the following options :
– press "1" : repeat current message
– press "2" : delete current message, move to the next
– press "3" : keep current message, move to the next
– press "9" : delete all messages
8 Other functions
Please refer to the full user guide on the CD for other functions (call forwarding, call recording,…).
9 Warranty
9.1 Warranty period
Topcom units have a 24-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on the day the new unit is purchased. Consumables or
defects causing a negligible effect on operation or value of the equipment are not covered.
The warranty has to be proven by presentation of a copy of the original purchase receipt, on which the date of purchase and the unit-
model are indicated.
9.2 Warranty handling
A faulty unit needs to be returned to an authorized service centre including a valid purchase note. If the unit develops a fault during the
warranty period, the service centre will repair any defects caused by material or manufacturing faults free of charge.
The service centre will at its discretion fulfil its warranty obligations by either repairing or exchanging the faulty units or parts of the faulty
units. In case of replacement, colour and model can be different from the original purchased unit.
The initial purchase date shall determine the start of the warranty period. The warranty period is not extended if the unit is exchanged
or repaired by the appointed service centres.
9.3 Warranty exclusions
Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage resulting from use of non-original parts or accessories are
not covered by the warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water and fire, nor any damage caused during
transportation.
No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on the unit has been changed, removed or rendered illegal.
10 Disposal of the device (environment)
At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product into the normal household garbage but bring the product
to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipments. The symbol on the product, user guide and/or box
indicate this.
Some of the product materials can be re-used if you bring them to a recycling point. By re-using some parts or raw materials
from used products you make an important contribution to the protection of the environment.
Please contact your local authorities in case you need more information on the collection points in your area.
If you don't press a valid key within 5 seconds after the message the system will behave as you pressed "3".

3 Software-installatie
Als SkypeTM nog niet is geïnstalleerd op uw computer, surf dan naar http://www.skype.com en volg de instructies om SkypeTM te
installeren. Controleer of SkypeTM werkt vooraleer u de Topcom Webt@lker 301 installeert.
Vooraleer u de Webt@lker 301 aansluit op uw computer, moet u eerst de Topcom-software installeren!!
• Plaats de cd in uw cd-romstation.
• Het Autorun-menu zal starten.
– Klik op "Install Software".
alle installatie-screenshots in deze handleiding zijn gebaseerd op Windows XP. Voor andere Windows-
besturingssystemen zijn alle procedures dezelfde maar de schermen kunnen lichtjes verschillen.

– Klik op "Yes" om de installatie te starten.
– Vergeet niet de licentieovereenkomst te aanvaarden voor u op "Agree" klikt.
Het installatieproces wordt nu voortgezet.
– Steek nu de USB-adapter in de computer en klik op OK
Nieuwe hardware wordt herkend.
– Selecteer de eerste optie en klik op "Next".

De drivers worden geïnstalleerd.
– Klik op Finish
Nu zal een VOIP Audiotoestel worden gedetecteerd.
– Selecteer de eerste optie en klik op "Next".
– Klik op "Continue Anyway" om verder te gaan met de installatie.

Wanneer de installatie geslaagd is, verschijnt het volgende scherm:

4 SkypeTM snelkeuzenummers configureren
Vooraleer u via SkypeTM kunt telefoneren, moet u snelkeuzenummers toewijzen aan uw SkypeTM-correspondenten.
Selecteer een naam in uw correspondentenlijst en klik op de rechtermuisknop.
– Selecteer de optie "Set Speed-Dial"
– Wijs nu een snelkeuzenummer toe aan deze correspondent (van 00 to 99) en klik op OK
Herhaal deze stap voor al uw SkypeTM correspondenten.
5 Uitgaande en binnenkomende oproepen
5.1 Ontvangen oproepen
Wanneer u een binnenkomende oproep ontvangt (van een vaste lijn of SkypeTM) zal uw aangesloten telefoon beginnen te rinkelen.
• Van vaste lijn: Neem de telefoon van de haak om het gesprek aan te nemen.
• Van SkypeTM: Als uw telefoon FSK-nummerweergave ondersteunt, verschijnen op de display van uw telefoon de naam van de
oproeper en het SkypeTM snelkeuzenummer. Neem de telefoon van de haak om het gesprek aan te nemen.
5.2 Uitgaande oproepen
• Oproep vaste lijn: (Alleen wanneer uw vaste lijn is aangesloten) U kunt bellen via een vaste lijn op precies dezelfde manier als
wanneer uw telefoon rechtstreeks is aangesloten op uw vaste lijn.
• SkypeTM :
– Om een SkypeTM correspondent te bellen: vorm "##xx*" (xx is het SkypeTM
snelkeuzenummer)
– Skype Uit : "##00.......*" (00...... is het opgebelde nummer)
Alle (uitgaande) SkypeTM nummers moeten beginnen met "##" en moeten eindigen op "*"

6 Tweede oproep / Conferentiegesprek
6.1 Tweede oproep (Schakelaar tussen oproep vaste lijn en SkypeTM oproep
U kunt omschakelen van een vaste lijn naar een SkypeTM oproep door tijdens uw gesprek op "#1" te drukken.
Om het huidige gesprek te beëindigen en naar de andere oproep over te schakelen, drukt u op "##"
6.2 Conferentiegesprek
Als een oproep binnenkomt op de andere lijn (SkypeTM of vaste lijn) krijgt u een klopgeluid te horen in het huidige gesprek. U kunt een
conferentiegesprek opzetten (gesprek waaraan drie correspondenten deelnemen) door tijdens uw gesprek op "#2" te drukken.
De oproep via de vaste lijn en de SkypeTM oproep worden dan met elkaar verbonden.
7 SkypeTM voicemail
Als u een SkypeTM-voicemail heeft ontvangen, hoort u een intermitterende pieptoon in de VOIP-kiestoon.
• Neem de hoorn op en vorm "##" om de VOIP-kiestoon te krijgen.
• Druk nu op "*" om toegang te krijgen tot het voicemail-menu.
• Het eerste bericht zal automatisch worden afgespeeld.
• Een "pieptoon" geeft het einde van het bericht aan. ("piep piep piep" geeft het laatste bericht aan)
• tijdens/na de weergave heeft u de volgende opties:
– Druk op "1": huidig bericht herhalen
– druk op "2": huidig bericht wissen, verdergaan naar het volgende bericht
– druk op "3": huidig bericht bewaren, verdergaan naar het volgende bericht
– druk op "9": alle berichten wissen
8 Andere functies
Zie de volledige gebruikershandleiding op de cd voor andere functies (oproepen doorschakelen, oproepen opnemen,.....).
9 Garantie
9.1 Garantieperiode
Op de Topcom-toestellen wordt een garantie van 24 maanden verleend. De garantieperiode begint op de dag waarop het nieuwe toestel
wordt gekocht. Kleine onderdelen of defecten die een verwaarloosbaar effect hebben op de werking of waarde van het toestel zijn niet
gedekt door de garantie.
De garantie moet worden bewezen door voorlegging van het aankoopbewijs waarop de datum van aankoop en het toesteltype staan.
9.2 Afwikkeling van garantieclaims
Een defect toestel moet, samen met een geldig aankoopbewijs, worden teruggestuurd naar een Topcom-hersteldienst.
Als het toestel tijdens de garantieperiode een defect vertoont, zal Topcom of diens officieel erkende hersteldienst eventuele defecten te
wijten aan materiaal- of productiefouten gratis herstellen.
Topcom zal naar keuze haar garantieverplichtingen vervullen door defecte toestellen of onderdelen van defecte toestellen ofwel te
herstellen ofwel te vervangen. In het geval dat het toestel wordt vervangen, kan de kleur en het model verschillend zijn van het
oorspronkelijk gekochte toestel.
De oorspronkelijke aankoopdatum is bepalend voor het begin van de garantieperiode. De garantieperiode wordt niet verlengd als het
toestel wordt vervangen of hersteld door Topcom of diens officieel erkende hersteldienst.
9.3 Afwikkeling van garantieclaims
Schade of defecten te wijten aan onoordeelkundig gebruik of bediening en schade te wijten aan het gebruik van niet-originele
onderdelen of accessoires die niet zijn aanbevolen door Topcom, worden niet gedekt door de garantie. De garantie dekt geen schade
te wijten aan externe factoren, zoals bliksem, water en brand, noch enige transportschade.Er kan geen garantie worden ingeroepen als
het serienummer op het toestel is gewijzigd, verwijderd of onleesbaar gemaakt.
Garantieclaims zijn ongeldig indien het toestel hersteld, gewijzigd of aangepast werd door de koper of door niet-gekwalificeerde, niet-
officieel erkende Topcom-hersteldienst.
10 Het toestel vernietigen (milieu)
Op het einde van de levenscyclus van het product mag u dit product niet bij het normale huishoudelijke afval gooien, maar
moet u het naar een inzamelpunt brengen voor de recyclage van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur. Dit wordt
aangeduid door het symbool op het product, in de handleiding en/of op de verpakking.
Sommige materialen van het product kunnen worden hergebruikt als u ze naar een inzamelpunt brengt. Door onderdelen
of grondstoffen van gebruikte producten te hergebruiken, levert u een belangrijke bijdrage tot de bescherming van het
milieu. Wend u tot uw lokale overheid voor meer informatie over de inzamelpunten in uw buurt.
Als u niet binnen de 5 seconden na het bericht op een geldige toets drukt, gaat het systeem ervan uit dat u "3" heeft
ingedrukt.

SkypeTM. Vérifiez que SkypeTM fonctionne avant d’installer le Topcom Webt@lker 301.
Avant de connecter le Webt@cer 301 à votre ordinateur, veuillez d’abord installer le logiciel Topcom !!
• Veuillez insérer le CD-ROM fourni dans votre lecteur.
• L’écran autorun sera lancé.
– Veuillez cliquer sur Install Software
Toutes les images de l’installation mentionnées dans le présent manuel sont basées sur Windows XP. Pour les
autres systèmes d’exploitation de Windows, toutes les procédures sont identiques mais les écrans ne sont pas
exactement les mêmes.

4 Configurer les numéros de numérotation rapide de SkypeTM
Avant de pouvoir passer les appels SkypeTM, vous devez attribuer des numéros de numérotation rapide à vos contacts SkypeTM.
Choisissez un nom dans votre liste d’amis et cliquez sur le bouton droit de votre souris.
– Choisissez l’option "Set Speed-Dial"
– Assignez à présent un numéro de numérotation rapide à ce contact (de 00 à 99) et cliquez sur
OK
Répétez cette action pour tous vos contacts SkypeTM.
5 Passer et recevoir des appels
5.1 Recevoir des appels
Lorsque vous recevrez un appel entrant (à partir d’une ligne fixe ou de SkypeTM), votre téléphone connecté sonnera.
• À partir d’une ligne fixe : Il vous suffit de décrocher le téléphone pour commencer la conversation.
• À partir de SkypeTM : Si votre téléphone prend en charge l’identification de l’appelant FSK, l’écran de votre téléphone affichera le
nom de l’appelant et le numéro de composition rapide de SkypeTM. Il vous suffit de décrocher le téléphone pour commencer la
conversation.
5.2 Passer des appels
• Appel à partir de la ligne fixe : (uniquement si votre ligne fixe est connectée) Vous pouvez passer des appels à partir de votre ligne
fixe exactement de la même manière que si votre téléphone était directement connecté à votre ligne fixe.
• SkypeTM :
– Pour appeler un contact SkypeTM : Composez "##xx*" (xx et le numéro de numérotation rapide
SkypeTM)
– Skype Out : "##00.......*" (00...... est le numéro composé)
Tous les numéros SkypeTM (out) doivent commencer par "##" et doivent se terminer par "*"
