1 INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the TOPCOM Multitalker 1000. It’s a short range, low powered radio communication device
that has no running costs other than the minimal cost of re-charging the batteries.
The Multitalker operates on Private Mobile Radio frequencies and can be used in any country where the service is
authorised as indicated on the packing box and in this manual.
2 INTENDED PURPOSE:
It can be used for different professional as well as for recreational purposes. For example: to keep in contact during
travelling with 2 or more cars, biking, skiing. It can be used to keep in contact with your children when they are playing
outside, etc...
3 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 GENERAL
Please read carefully through the following information concerning safety and proper use. Make yourself familiar with
all functions of the device. Keep this manual on a safe place for future use.
3.2 BURNING INJURIES
• If the cover of the antenna is damaged, do not touch because when an antenna comes in contact with the skin, a
minor burn may result when transmitting.
• Batteries can cause property damage such as burns if conductive material such as jewellery, keys or beaded
chains touches exposed terminals.The material may complete an electrical circuit (short circuit) and become quite
hot. Exercise care in handling any charged battery, particularly when placing it inside a pocket, purse or other con-
tainer with metal objects.
3.3 PERSONAL SAFETY
• Do not place your device in the area over an air bag or in the air bag deployment area. Air bags inflate with great
force. If a communicator is placed in the bag deployment area and the air bag inflates, the communicator may be
propelled with great force and cause serious injury to the occupants of the vehicle.
• Keep the radio at least 15 centimetres away from a pacemaker.
• Turn your radio OFF as soon as interference is taking place with medical equipment.
• Do not replace batteries in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Contact sparking may occur while installing or
removing batteries and cause an explosion.
• Turn your communicator off when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere. Sparks in such areas could
cause an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even death.
• Never throw batteries in fire as they may explode.
3.4 POISONING DANGER
• Keep batteries away from small children
Restriction:
Check the local regulations before using it outside the country where it was
purchased. The standard may be prohibited in this country.
Areas with potentially explosive atmospheres are often, but not always, clearly
marked. They include fuelling areas such as below deck on boats, fuel or chemical
transfer or storage facilities; areas where the air contains chemicals or particles,
such as grain, dust or metal powders; and any other area where you would
normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.

3.5 LEGAL
• In some countries it is prohibited to use your PMR while driving a vehicle. In this case leave the road before using
the device.
• Turn your unit OFF when on board an aircraft when instructed to do so. Any use of the unit must be in accordance
with airline regulations or crew instructions.
• Turn your unit OFF in any facilities where posted notices instruct you to do so. Hospitals or health care facilities
may be using equipment that is sensitive to external RF energy.
• Replacing or modifying the antenna may affect the PMR radio specifications and violate the CE regulations. Unau-
thorised antennas could also damage the radio.
3.6 NOTES
• Do not touch the antenna while transmitting, it could affect the range.
• Remove the battery if the device is not going to be used for a long period.
4 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• To clean the unit, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water. Don’t use a cleaner or solvents on the unit; they can
damage the case and leak inside, causing permanent damage.
• Battery contacts may be wiped with a dry lint-free cloth.
• If the unit gets wet, turn it off and remove the batteries immediately. Dry the battery compartment with a soft cloth
to minimize potential water damage. Leave the cover off the battery compartment overnight or until completely
dry. Do not use the unit until completely dry.
5 DISPOSAL OF THE DEVICE
Dispose of the unit and used batteries in an environment friendly manner.
Do not dispose of batteries in a normal household garbage.
6 USING A PMR DEVICE
To communicate between PMR devices they need to be set all on the same channel and within receiving range (up to
max. 3 km in open field). Since these devices use free frequency bands (channels), all devices in operation share these
channels (total 8 channels). Therefore, privacy is not guaranteed. Anybody with a PMR set to your channel can
overhear the conversation. If you want to communicate (transmitting a voice signal) you need to press the -button.
Once this button pressed, the device will go into transmit mode and you can speak into the microphone. All other PMR
devices in range , on the same channel and in stand-by mode (not transmitting) will hear your message. You need to
wait until the other party stops transmitting before you can reply to the message. At the end of each transmission the
unit will send a beep. To reply, just press the -button and speak into the microphone.
If 2 or more users press the - button at the same time the receiver will receive
only the stongest signal and the other signal (s) will be supressed. Therefore you
should only transmit a signal (press - button) when the channel is free .

7 BATTERY INSTALLATION
1.Insert a small coin behind the battery door open area and
remove battery cover.
2.Insert the enclosed Li-ion battery pack as shown. Make sure
that the metal contacts are facing down.
3.Re-install the Battery Cover.

9 LCD DISPLAY INFORMATION
10 BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL/LOW BATTERY INDICATION
The BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL is indicated by the number of squares present inside
the BATTERY icon on the LCD Screen.
When the BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL is low, the BATTERY icon will flash to indicate
that the batteries need to be replaced or recharged.
11 RECHARGING BATTERIES
The Multitalker 1000 uses 1 x Li-ion battery.
• Insert the Li-ion battery.
• Plug the small plug of the adapter into the SPK/MIC/CHG jack (2) and
the other end in the electrical socket.
• Make sure that the unit is switched off in order to charge the batteries
properly. There is no charge indicator during charging at OFF mode.
NOTE: It takes approximately 7 to 10 hours to fully charge the
batteries.

Dispose of batteries at a designated battery disposal unit and
not in the household waste. Do not short-circuit & dispose of in
fire. Remove the batteries if this device is not going to be used
for a long period.

Together with the multitalker the next accessories are enclosed:

12.1 BELT CLIP, ARMSTRAP, WRISTSTRAP
To fasten:
- Slide the unit into the cradle until it locks into position. The arrow in
the cradle indicated the direction.
To remove:
- Press both latches to unlock the unit from the cradle.
- Slide the multitalker out of the cradle.
To rotate:
- The Multitalker 1000 can be rotated in the suitable direction.
12.2 NECK LACE
- Press the latch and remove the string from the neck lace
- Insert the string into the neck strap hole on top of the unit and tight it.
- Connect the string part into the main strap.

13 CLOCK FUNCTIONS
When the battery is installed and the unit is OFF, the time is displayed.
13.1 SETTING THE TIME
In power OFF mode:
• Press and hold for 3 seconds, the hour flashes.
• Press or to change the hour.
• Press to confirm, the minutes flashes.
• Press or to change the minutes.
• Press and hold for 3 seconds to confirm the setting
13.2 STOPWATCH
• Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter stopwatch mode
• Press to start counting
• Press to stop counting
• Press to reset the timer
• Press and hold for 3 seconds to exit stopwatch mode
14 USING THE MULTITALKER
14.1 TURNING THE UNIT ON/OFF
• To activate; press and hold . The unit will “beep” and the LCD Screen will display the current channel.
• To switch off; press and hold again. The unit will “beep” and the LCD Screen will turn blank.
14.2 ADJUSTING SPEAKER VOLUME
The Speaker Volume can be adjusted using and . The Speaker Volume level is displayed on
the LCD.
14.3 RECEIVING A SIGNAL
The unit is continuously in the RECEIVE mode when the unit is ON and not transmitting. When you
receive a signal on the current channel, the RX icon is displayed.

14.4 TRANSMITTING A SIGNAL
• Press and hold to TRANSMIT.
• Hold the unit in a vertical position with the MICROPHONE 10 cm from the mouth and speak into the
microphone.
• Release when you have finished transmitting.
14.5 CHANGING CHANNELS
The PMR has 8 available channels.
To change channels:
• Press once, the current channel number flashes on the LCD Screen.
• Press or to change the channel.
• Press to confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode.
• To confirm and shift to the next option, press .
NOTE: Any PMR set on the same channel can receive and listen to the conversation, also when the other use a CTCSS
code.
14.6 CTCSS (CONTINUOUS TONE CODED SQUELCH SYSTEM)
The 2 digit CTCSS code corresponds to a specific tone frequency the radio emits. Two users, with the same channel
and CTCSS set can hear one another.They will not be able to hear anyone else on the channel unless the other radios
have the same exact CTCSS code enabled.
The PMR has 38 CTCSS codes available.
• Press twice, the CTCSS code will flash
• Press or to select another code.
• Press to confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode.
• To confirm and shift to the next option, press .
NOTE: Any PMR set on the same channel can receive and listen to the conversation, also when the other use a CTCSS
code.
14.7 MONITOR
You can use the MONITOR feature to check for weaker signals in the current channel.
• Press and hold and simultaneous to activate channel monitoring.
• Press to stop monitoring.
14.8 VOX SELECTION
The PMR is capable of voice activated (VOX) transmission. In VOX mode, the radio will transmit a signal when it is
activated by your voice or other sound around you. VOX operation is not recommended If you plan to use your radio in
a noisy or windy environment.
• Press 3 times.
• Press to turn the VOX feature ON and press again to select the VOX sensitivity level which
is indicated in the right corner of the display. Press until OF appears on the display, to turn VOX
OFF.
• In the VOX mode, the VOX icon will be displayed.
• To confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode, press .

14.9 CHANNEL SCAN
CHANNEL SCAN performs searches for active signals in an endless loop from channel 1 to 8.
• Press and hold and briefly to start scanning.
• Release the buttons.
• When an active signal (one of 8 channels) is detected, CHANNEL SCAN pauses and you will hear
the active signal.
• Press to communicate through the active signal channel. Press to deactivate channel
scan.
When an active signal (one of 8 channels) is detected, press or to bypass the current channel and continue to
search for another active channel
14.10 CALL TONES
A call tone alerts others that you want to talk.
a. Setting the Call Tone
5 different Call Tones can be selected.
• Press 4 times. CA will be displayed.
• Press or to select another call tone or select OF to enable call tones.
• Press to confirm your selection and return to the stand-by mode.
b. Sending a call Tone
Press briefly. The call tone will be transmitted for 3 seconds on the set channel.
14.11 ROGER BEEP ON/OFF
After the - button is released, the unit will send out a roger beep to confirm that you have stopped talking.
To set the Roger Beep.
• Press 5 times. ‘ro’ will be displayed.
• Press to enable (ON) or disable the Roger-Beep (OF).
• Press to confirm your selection and return to the stand-by mode.
14.12 KEY-TONE ON/OFF
When a button is pressed, the unit will beep briefly.
To set the key-tone.
• Press 6 times. ‘to’ will be displayed.
• Press to enable (ON) or disable the Roger-beep (OF).
• Press to confirm your selection and return to the stand-by mode.

14.13 DUAL CHANNEL MONITOR FUNCTION
In stand-by, the PMR is set on one set channel with CTCSS code. The PMR will only receive signals transmitted on
that channel and CTCSS code.
Dual Channel Monitor allows you to monitor a second channel with CTCSS code.
• Press 7 times, DCM appears on the display.
• Press or to change the channel.
• Press to confirm the channel selection and go to CTCSS SUB-CHANNEL SELECTION
• Press or to change the CTCSS.
• Press to confirm.
To disable the function select channel ‘O’
When the Dual Channel Monitor function is activated, the PMR will switch successively between
the stand-by channel + CTCSS and the Dual Channel + CTCSS.
14.14 BUTTON LOCK
• Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the BUTTON LOCK mode. The BUT-
TON LOCK icon is displayed on the LCD Screen.
• Press and hold again to deactivate BUTTON LOCK
14.15 HEADSET CONNECTION
The Multitalker can be used with an external microphone and speaker
(included)
The connector is located under the protective rubber cover on right side
of the unit.To attach the external speaker/microphone headsets or
earpiece, lift the rubber flap on the top of the unit to expose the
connector.
Insert the appropriate plug into the connector.

16 WARRANTY
16.1 WARRANTY PERIOD
Topcom units have a 24-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on the day the new unit is purchased.
Consumable or defects causing a negligible effect on operation or value of the equipment are not covered.
The warranty has to be proven by presentation of a copy of the original purchase receipt, on which the date of purchase
and the unit-model are indicated.
16.2 WARRANTY HANDLING
A faulty unit needs to be returned to an authorized service centre including a valid purchase note. If the unit develops
a fault during the warranty period, the service centre will repair any defects caused by material or manufacturing faults
free of charge.
The service centre will at its discretion fulfil its warranty obligations by either repairing or exchanging the faulty units or
parts of the faulty units. In case of replacement, colour and model can be different from the original purchased unit.
The initial purchase date shall determine the start of the warranty period. The warranty period is not extended if the unit
is exchanged or repaired by the appointed service centres.
16.3 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage resulting from use of non-original parts or
accessories are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water and fire, nor any damage
caused during transportation.
No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on the unit has been changed, removed or rendered illegal.
The CE symbol indicates that the unit complies with the essential requirements of the R&TTE directive.

1 INLEIDING
We danken u voor de aankoop van de Topcom MultiTalker 1000. Het is een radiocommunicatietoestel met kort bereik
en laag vermogen dat behalve de minimumkost voor het opladen van de batterijen, geen verdere gebruikskosten heeft.
De MultiTalker 1000 werkt op Private Mobile radiofrequenties en kan in elk land worden gebruikt waar de dienst is
toegelaten (zie verpakking en verder in deze handleiding).
2 GEBRUIKSDOEL:
Het toestel kan worden gebruikt voor verschillende professionele en recreatieve doeleinden. Bijvoorbeeld: om in
contact te blijven wanneer u op reis bent in 2 of meer auto’s, tijdens het fietsen, het skiën. Het kan worden gebruikt om
in contact te blijven met uw kinderen wanneer ze buiten spelen, enz...
3 VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES
3.1 ALGEMEEN
Lees de onderstaande informatie in verband met veiligheid en correct gebruik aandachtig. Maak u vertrouwd met alle
functies van het toestel. Bewaar deze handleiding op een veilige plaats voor later gebruik.
3.2 BRANDWONDEN
• Raak de antenne niet aan als de afdekking van de antenne beschadigd is, dit kan bij contact met de huid tot kleine
brandwonden leiden bij het zenden.
• Batterijen kunnen materiële schade veroorzaken, zoals brandschade, als geleidend materiaal zoals sierraden, sleutels
of kralen kettingen in aanraking komen met blootliggende klemmen. Het materiaal kan een kortsluiting veroorzaken en
erg warm worden. Hanteer opgeladen batterijen met zorg, vooral wanneer u de batterij in een zak, tas of andere houder
met metalen voorwerpen plaatst.
3.3 PERSOONLIJKE VEILIGHEID
• Gebruik in auto’s: Plaats het toestel niet boven of in het werkingsgebied van de airbag. Airbags worden met een
enorme kracht opgeblazen. Als een communicatietoestel binnen de radius van de airbag wordt geplaatst en de airbag
wordt geactiveerd, kan het toestel met een enorme kracht worden weggeslingerd en de inzittenden van het voertuig
zwaar verwonden.
• Houd de radio tenminste 15 centimeter uit de buurt van een pacemaker.
• Schakel uw radio onmiddellijk UIT in geval van interferentie met medische apparatuur.
• Vervang de batterijen NIET in een potentieel explosieve omgeving. Bij het plaatsen of verwijderen van de batterijen
kunnen contactvonken ontstaan, die een explosie kunnen veroorzaken.
• Schakel uw communicatietoestel uit wanneer u zich in een potentieel explosieve omgeving bevindt. Vonken in
dergelijke omgevingen zouden een explosie of brand kunnen veroorzaken, met lichamelijk letsel of zelfs de dood tot
gevolg.
• Gooi batterijen nooit in een vuurhaard, want ze zouden kunnen ontploffen.
3.4 VERGIFTIGINGSGEVAAR
• Houd batterijen buiten het bereik van kleine kinderen
3.5 WETGEVING
• In sommige landen is het gebruik van uw PMR in de auto tijdens het rijden verboden. Verlaat in dat geval de weg alvo-
rens het toestel te gebruiken.
• Schakel uw toestel UIT aan boord van een vliegtuig wanneer u dat wordt gevraagd. Gebruik het toestel enkel in
overeenstemming met de voorschriften van de luchtvaartmaatschappij of met de instructies van de bemanning.
• Schakel uw toestel UIT op plaatsen waar u dat via borden of affiches wordt gevraagd. Ziekenhuizen of gezondheidszor-
ginstellingen kunnen apparatuur gebruiken die gevoelig is voor externe RF-energie.
• De antenne vervangen of veranderen, kan een invloed hebben op de PMR-radiospecificaties en indruisen tegen de CE-
voorschriften. Niet-toegelaten antennes kunnen ook schade aan de radio veroorzaken.
Beperking:
Controleer de lokale voorschriften alvorens het toestel te gebruiken in een ander
land dan het land van aankoop. De standaard kan verboden zijn in dat land.

3.6 OPMERKINGEN:
• Raak de antenne niet aan tijdens het zenden, dat zou het bereik kunnen verminderen.
• Verwijder de batterij als u het toestel langere tijd niet gebruikt.
4 REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
• Om het toestel te reinigen, gebruikt u een zachte doek, bevochtigd met water. Gebruik geen reinigings- of oplosmid-
delen op het toestel; ze kunnen de behuizing beschadigen en in het toestel sijpelen, waardoor permanente schade
wordt aangericht
• De batterijcontacten kunnen met een droge pluisvrije doek worden gereinigd.
• Als het toestel nat wordt, moet u het uitschakelen en de batterijen onmiddellijk verwijderen. Droog het batterijvak met
een zachte doek om mogelijke waterschade tot een minimum te beperken. Plaats het afdekplaatje een nacht lang of tot
het toestel volledig droog is, niet terug op het batterijvak. Gebruik het toestel niet tot het volledig droog is.
5 HET TOESTEL VERWIJDEREN
Verwijder het toestel en de gebruikte batterijen op een milieuvriendelijke manier.
Gooi batterijen niet bij het normale huishoudelijke afval.
6 EEN PMR-TOESTEL GEBRUIKEN
Om met andere PMR-toestellen te communiceren, moeten alle toestellen op hetzelfde kanaal zijn afgestemd en zich
binnen het ontvangstbereik bevinden (tot max. 3 km in open veld). Daar deze toestellen gebruik maken van vrije
frequentiebanden (kanalen), delen alle toestellen in werking die kanalen (in het totaal 8 kanalen). Er kan dus geen
privacy worden gegarandeerd. Iedereen met een PMR die is afgestemd op uw kanaal, kan meeluisteren.
Als u wilt communiceren (een spraaksignaal versturen) moet u de - knop indrukken (indrukken om te praten).
Eens deze knop is ingedrukt, gaat het toestel in zendmodus en kunt u in de microfoon praten. Alle andere PMR-
toestellen binnen het bereik, op hetzelfde kanaal en in standby-modus (niet zenden) zullen uw bericht horen. U moet
wachten tot uw gesprekspartner stopt met zenden vooraleer u kunt antwoorden. Op het einde van elke transmissie,
stuurt het toestel een pieptoon. Om te antwoorden, drukt u gewoon op de - knop en spreekt u in de microfoon.
Als 2 of meer gebruikers de - knop tegelijkertijd indrukken, ontvangt de
ontvanger enkel het sterkste signaal en wordt (worden) het (de) andere signaal
(signalen) onderdrukt. U mag dus pas een signaal zenden (op de - knop
drukken) wanneer het kanaal vrij is.

7 BATTERIJEN PLAATSEN
1.Steek een klein muntje achter het batterijdeksel en verwijder
het plaatje.
2.Plaats het meegeleverde Li-ion-batterijpak in het batterijvak
zoals geïllustreerd. Zorg ervoor dat de metalen contacten naar
beneden zijn gericht.
3.Plaats het plaatje van het batterijvak terug.

10 LAADNIVEAU BATTERIJ /INDICATIE ZWAKKE BATTERIJ
Het LAADNIVEAU VAN DE BATTERIJ wordt weergegeven door het aantal vierkantjes in het BATTERIJ-pictogram op
het LCD-scherm.
Als het LAADNIVEAU VAN DE BATTERIJ laag is, begint het BATTERIJ-pictogram te
flikkeren, wat erop wijst dat de batterijen moeten worden vervangen of opgeladen.
11 BATTERIJEN OPLADEN
De Multitalker 1000 werkt op 1 Li-ion-batterij.
• Plaats de Li-ion batterij in het batterijvak.
• Steek de kleine stekker van de adapter in de SPK/MIC/CHG-aansluit-
ing (2) en het andere uiteinde in de wandcontactdoos.
• Zorg ervoor dat het toestel is uitgeschakeld om de batterijen correct te
laden. Er is geen laadindicatie tijdens het opladen in de OFF-stand.
OPMERKING: Het duurt ongeveer 7 tot 10 uur om de batterijen
volledig op te laden.

Gooi de batterijen bij het klein gevaarlijk afval en niet bij het
gewone huisvuil. Maak geen kortsluiting & gooi de batterijen
niet in vuur. Verwijder de batterijen als u het toestel langere tijd
niet gebruikt.

12.1 RIEMCLIP, ARMBAND, POLSBAND
Om vast te maken:
- Schuif het toestel in de houder tot het op zijn plaats klikt. De pijl in de
houder geeft de richting aan.
Om te verwijderen:
- Druk op beide fixeerlippen om het toestel los te maken uit de houder.
- Schuif de Multitalker uit de houder.
Om te draaien:
- De Multitalker 1000 kan in de gewenste richting worden gedraaid.
12.2 HALSBAND
- Druk op de fixeerlip en verwijder het riempje uit de halsband
- Steek het riempje in de opening in de halsband bovenaan op het toestel en span vast.
- Verbind het riempje met de band.

13 KLOKFUNCTIES
Als de batterij is gećnstalleerd en het toestel UIT (OFF) is, wordt het uur weergegeven.
13.1 HET UUR INSTELLEN
In OFF-stand:
• Houd 3 seconden ingedrukt, het cijfer voor het uur knippert.
• Druk op of om het uur te wijzigen.
• Druk op om te bevestigen, het cijfer voor de minuten begint nu te knipperen.
• Druk op of om de minuten te wijzigen.
• Houd 3 seconden ingedrukt om de instelling te bevestigen.
13.2 CHRONOMETER
• Houd 3 seconden ingedrukt om naar de stopwatch-modus te gaan
• Druk op om te beginnen tellen
• Druk op om te stoppen met tellen
• Druk op om de timer te resetten
• Houd 3 seconden ingedrukt om de stopwatch-modus te verlaten
14 MULTITALKER 1000 GEBRUIKEN
14.1 HET TOESTEL IN- EN UITSCHAKELEN (ON/OFF)
• Activeren: Houd ingedrukt. Het toestel begint te "piepen" en op het LCD-scherm verschijnt het huidige kanaal.
• Uitschakelen: Houd opnieuw ingedrukt. Het toestel begint te "piepen" en het LCD-scherm wordt zwart.
14.2 LUIDSPREKERVOLUME INSTELLEN
Het luidsprekervolume kan worden ingesteld via en . Het luidsprekervolume verschijnt op het
LCD-scherm.
14.3 EEN SIGNAAL ONTVANGEN
Het toestel staat altijd in ONTVANGST-modus wanneer het AAN staat en niet zendt. Als u een signaal
ontvangt op het huidige kanaal, verschijnt het RX-symbool op het scherm.

14.4 EEN SIGNAAL ZENDEN
• Houd ingedrukt om te ZENDEN.
• Houd het toestel verticaal met de MICROFOON 10 cm van de mond en spreek in de microfoon.
• Laat los wanneer u klaar bent met praten.
14.5 VAN KANAAL VERANDEREN
De PMR heeft 8 beschikbare kanalen.
Van kanaal veranderen:
• Druk één keer op . Het huidige kanaalnummer begint te flikkeren op het LCD-scherm.
• Druk op of op om het kanaal te wijzigen.
• Druk op om uw keuze te bevestigen en terug te keren naar de NORMALE modus.
• Om te bevestigen en over te gaan naar de volgende optie, drukt u op .
OPMERKING: Elke PMR die is afgestemd op hetzelfde kanaal kan het gesprek ontvangen en meeluisteren, ook
wanneer de andere een CTCSS-code gebruikt.
14.6 CTCSS (CONTINUOUS TONE CODED SQUELCH SYSTEM)
De 2 tekens tellende CTCSS-code komt overeen met een specifieke toonfrequentie die de radio uitzendt. Twee
gebruikers die afgestemd zijn op hetzelfde kanaal en dezelfde CTCSS kunnen elkaar horen. Ze zullen niemand anders
op het kanaal kunnen horen tenzij de andere radio’s exact dezelfde CTCSS-code hebben ingesteld.
De PMR heeft 38 CTCSS-codes.
• Druk twee keer op . De CTCSS-code begint te flikkeren.
• Druk op of op om een andere code te selecteren.
• Druk op om uw keuze te bevestigen en terug te keren naar de NORMALE modus.
• Om te bevestigen en over te gaan naar de volgende optie, drukt u op .
OPMERKING: Elke PMR die is afgestemd op hetzelfde kanaal kan het gesprek ontvangen en meeluisteren, ook
wanneer de andere een CTCSS-code gebruikt.
14.7 MONITOR
U kunt de MONITOR-functie gebruiken om te zoeken naar zwakkere signalen in het huidige kanaal.
• Druk tegelijkertijd op en om de kanaalmonitoring te activeren.
• Druk op om de monitoring te stoppen.
14.8 SPRAAKDETECTIE
De PMR kan spraakgestuurd (VOX) zenden. In VOX-modus zendt de radio een signaal indien hij wordt geactiveerd
door uw stem of een ander geluid rondom u. De VOX-modus wordt niet aangeraden als u van plan bent om uw radio
te gebruiken in een lawaaierige of winderige omgeving.
• Druk 3 keer op .
• Druk op om de VOX-functie te activeren en druk opnieuw op om het VOX- gevoelig-
heidsniveau te selecteren dat wordt weergegeven in de rechterhoek van het scherm. Druk op tot
OFF op het scherm verschijnt om VOX uit te schakelen.
• In de VOX-modus verschijnt het VOX-pictogram op het scherm.
• Om uw keuze te bevestigen en terug te keren naar de NORMALE modus, drukt u op .

14.9 CHANNEL SCAN
Met de functie CHANNEL SCAN zoekt u naar actieve signalen in een eindeloze lus van kanaal 1 tot 8.
• Houd ingedrukt. Druk kort op om het scannen te starten.
• Laat de knoppen los.
• Als een actief signaal (één van 8 kanalen) wordt gedetecteerd, pauzeert CHANNEL SCAN en krijgt
u het actieve signaal te horen.
• Druk op om te communiceren op het kanaal met het actieve signaal. Druk op om Chan-
nel Scan te deactiveren.
Als een actief signaal (één van 8 kanalen) wordt gedetecteerd, drukt u op of om het huidige kanaal te omzeilen
en verder te zoeken naar andere actieve kanalen.
14.10 OPROEPTONEN
Met een oproeptoon waarschuwt u anderen dat u wilt praten.
a. De oproeptoon instellen
U kunt kiezen uit 5 verschillende oproeptonen.
• Druk 4 keer op . CA verschijnt op het scherm.
• Druk op of om een andere oproeptoon te selecteren of selecteer OFF om oproeptonen uit te
schakelen.
• Druk op om uw keuze te bevestigen en terug te keren naar de Standby-modus.
b. Een oproeptoon zenden
Druk kort op . De oproeptoon wordt gedurende 3 seconden gestuurd op het ingestelde kanaal.
14.11 ROGER-PIEPTOON ON/OFF
Nadat u de , -knop heeft losgelaten, stuurt het toestel een roger-pieptoon om te bevestigen dat u klaar bent met
praten.
De roger-pieptoon instellen.
• Druk 5 keer op . ’ro’ verschijnt op het scherm.
• Druk op om de roger-pieptoon in te schakelen (ON) of druk op om de roger-pieptoon uit te
schakelen (OFF).
• Druk op om uw keuze te bevestigen en terug te keren naar de Standby-modus.
14.12 TOETSTOON AAN/UIT
Wanneer u een knop indrukt, hoort u een korte pieptoon.
Toetstoon instellen.
• Druk 6 keer op . ’to’ verschijnt op het scherm.
• Druk op om de roger-pieptoon in te schakelen (ON) of druk op om de roger-pieptoon uit te
schakelen (OFF).
• Druk op om uw keuze te bevestigen en terug te keren naar de Standby-modus.
