1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch,andengagetheparking
brake.
2.Movethemotion-controlleverstothe
NEUTRAL-LOCKpositionandstarttheengine.
Note:Runtheengineatthelowestpossible
rpmtopurgeanyairinthesystem.
Important:DonotengagethePTO.
3.Waituntilthemachinecoolsbeforecheckingthe
hydraulicuid.
4.Adjusttheseattothemostforwardpositionto
accessthecapsontheleftandrighthydrostatic
drives.
5.Cleantheareaaroundthehydraulic-reservoir
capandremovethecap.
6.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithacleanrag.
7.Installthedipstickintothellerneck,threadit
fully,removeit,andchecktheuidlevel(Figure
1).
Note:Ifthelevelisnotwithinthenotchedarea
ofthedipstick,addenoughhigh-qualityhydraulic
uidtoraisetheleveltowithinthenotchedarea.

•Keepsparks,ames,orcigarettesaway
frombattery.
•Ventilatewhenchargingorusingbatteryin
anenclosedspace.
•Makesureventingpathofbatteryisalways
openoncebatteryislledwithacid.
•Alwaysshieldeyesandfacefrombattery.
DANGER
Batteryelectrolytecontainssulfuricacid,
whichispoisonousandcancausesevere
burns.Swallowingelectrolytecanbefatalor
ifittouchesskincancausesevereburns.
•Wearsafetyglassestoshieldeyes,and
rubberglovestoprotectskinandclothing

•DoNotswallowelectrolyte.
•Intheeventofanaccident,ushwithwater
