Before using this product:
Please follow the instructions below to use the B-EP802-DC12-QM-R correctly.
• The B-EP802-DC12-QM-R is a 12V vehicle cigarette lighter adapter designed for charging the
battery pack loaded in the B-EP2DL series portable printer, not for supplying the power to the B-
EP2DL portable printer.
• Only use this device with the cigarette lighter of a DC12V negative earth vehicle. We are not
responsible for any results caused by a connection to any vehicles other than specified.
• Do not connect this device to any devices other than the B-EP2DL series portable printer. We
assume no responsibility for any results caused by a connection to other devices.
• Before connecting this device to the printer, please make sure that the battery pack is in the
printer. We are not responsible for any result caused by use of the printer without the battery
pack loaded inside.
If any difficulty should arise, unplug the unit and contact your Authorised TOSHIBA TEC
representative.
•Only connect this device to DC12
V
battery vehicles.
Connecting it to any vehicles other than specified may cause ignition or overheat.
•Only use this device with the B-EP2DL series portable printer.
Failure to do this may cause burst, ignition or overheat of the connected device
•Do not excessively bend, damage, pull on, place heavy objects on, or heat the cable of this device.
This may cause fire or electric shock.
•Do not remove covers, repair or modify the device by yourself.
This may cause fire or electric shock.
•Do not connect or disconnect the plug of this device with wet hands.

•Do not pour water directly onto the device or wipe it with dampened cloth.

•If the device produces smoke or strange smells, immediately unplug this device from the cigarette lighter
socket.
Continued use of the device in such abnormal condition may cause fire or electric shock.
•Fully insert the plug to the cigarette lighter socket.
Failure to do this may cause fire or electric shock.
•When disconnecting the plug, be sure to hold and pull the plug portion.
Pulling the cord portion may cut or expose the internal wires and cause fire or electric shock.
•Disconnect the device from the cigarette lighter socket when it is not used for a long period of time.
Failure to do this may cause fire.
•Do not allow children to use this device.
Keep it away from children, or they may suffer from electric shock or injury.
•Do not use the device where it might be exposed to:

Connecting the Cigarette Lighter Adapter
Connect the cigarette lighter adapter to the B-EP2DL printer using the following procedure.
For how to check the charge status, please refer to the Owner’s Manual of the
B-EP2DL series Owner’s Manual.
1. Make sure that the battery pack is in the printer.
2. Connect the plug of this device to the DCIN connector on the printer.
3. Fully insert the cigarette light plug into the cigarette lighter socket of a 12V vehicle. The Power
lamp lights up and the external power source symbol is displayed on the printer LCD, and
battery charge starts. Whether the battery charge is required or not is automatically determined
by the printer.
4. When the battery charge is completed, disconnect the device from the cigarette lighter socket
and the printer.
NOTE:
Charging time may differ depending on the condition of the battery pack or the operating
temperature.

Troubleshooting
If you have any problems on this product or the printer when in use, please check the following
point first.
If a problem cannot be solved by taking actions described below, disconnect this product from the
printer and contact the dealer or an authorised TOSHIBA TEC service representative for
assistance
Symptom Cause and resolution
The power lamp does not light even
if the adapter is connected to a
cigarette lighter socket.
•The cigarette lighter plug is not fully inserted into the
cigarette lighter socket.
⇒Fully insert the plug into the socket.
•The cigarette lighter is not supplied with the electricity.
⇒Check if the vehicle battery runs out by starting the
engine.
The CHARGE lamp on the printer
does not light up.
•The cigarette lighter adapter is not connected to the
printer.
⇒Firmly connect the cigarette lighter adapter to the
printer.
•The battery pack is not loaded in the printer.
⇒Load a battery pack in the printer.
•A fully charged battery pack is in the printer.
⇒The CHARGE lamp does not light up if the battery pack
is already fully charged.
•The ambient temperature does not fall within the range
from 0ºC to 40ºC.
⇒The battery is not charged when the ambient
temperature is out of the operating temperature.
