Power tool use and care
• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your applicaon. The correct power tool will do
the job beer and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and o. Any power tool that cannot be controlled
with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Keep all parts of the body away from the cuer blade. Do not remove cut material or hold material to be cut
when blades are moving. Make sure the switch is owhen clearing jammed material. A moment of inaenon

• Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the cuer blade stopped. When transporng or storing the hedge
trimmer always t the cung device cover. Proper handling of the hedge trimmer will reduce possible personal
injury from the cuer blades.
• Keep cable away from cung area. During operaon the cable may be hidden in shrubs and can be
accidentally cut by the blade.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or
these instrucons to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other
condion that may ect the power tools operaon. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cung tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cung tools with sharp cung edges are less likely to
bind and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instrucons, taking into account the
working condions and the work to be performed.. Use of the power tool for operaons dierent from those
intended could result in a hazardous situaon.
• Recharge only with the charger speced by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of baery
pack may create a risk of re when used with another baery pack.
• Use power tools only with specically designated baery packs. Use any other baery packs may create a risk
of injury and re.
• When baery pack is not in use, keep it away from the other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connecon from one terminal to another. Shorng the
baery terminals together may cause burns or a re.
• Under abusive condions, liquid may be ejected from the baery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the baery may
cause irritaon or burns.
Service
• Have your power tool serviced by a qued repair person using only idencal replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
HEDGE TRIMMER SAFETY WARNINGS

Always disconnect the baery before any maintenance on the machine.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Store the machine out of reach of children. Never allow children or other persons not trained in the use of the
machine and/or the baery to use or service it. Local laws may regulate the age of the user.
Never use a machine that has been modied in any way from its original specicaon.
Wear personal protecve equipment. See instrucons under the heading ”Personal protecve equipment”.
The operator of the machine must ensure, while working, that no persons or animals come closer than 15
meters (50 .).
Never use the machine in bad weather, for instance in fog, in rain, strong winds, intense cold, etc. Extremely hot
weather may cause overheang of the machine.
Never use a machine that is faulty. Carry out the safety checks, maintenance and service instrucons described
in this manual. Some maintenance and service measures must be carried out by trained and qualied specialists.
See instrucons under the heading Maintenance. Do an overall inspecon of the machine before use, see
maintenance schedule.

GUARD
The guard helps to deflect chips or other debris away from the operator’s hands and eyes.
TRIGGER SWITCH
The switch trigger, located beneath the rear handle, and the lock-offbu on, located behind the auxiliary handle,
must be depressed simultaneously to allow blade rota on.

to a qualified person for repair.

ery pack is not charged when it is purchased. Before using the hedger for the first me,
place the ba ery pack in the ba ery charger and charge. Make sure to read all safety precau ons, and follow
the instruc ons in the Ba ery Charger sec on.
(See Fig. 2)
• Press the release bu on on the ba ery pack down and hold.
• Grasp the trigger handle firmly. Pull the ba ery pack out of the handle.
NOTE: The ba ery pack fits snugly into the handle to prevent accidental dislodging. It may require a strong pull
to remove.
To install the ba (See Fig. 2)
• Align the tongue of the ba ery pack with the cavity in the handle housing.
• Grasp the trigger handle firmly.
• Push the ba ery pack into the handle un
ons in order to avoid injury and to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire:
• Replace the ba ery pack or the charger immediately if the ba ery case or charger cord is damaged.
• Verify that the switch is in the OFF posi on before inser g or removing the ba ery pack.
• Verify that the ba ery pack is removed and the switch is in the OFF posi on before inspec ng, adjus ng, or
performing maintenance on any part of the hedger.
• Read, understand, and follow the instruc ons contained in the sec on en tled Charging Procedure.
UNPACKING
• This product requires no assembly.
• Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing
list are included.
• Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not discard the packing material un you have carefully inspected and sa

To avoid personal injury:
• Handle the blade with care.
• Do not place your fingers or hand between the notches in the blade or in any position where they could get
pinched or cut.
• Never service the blade or hedge trimmer unless the battery pack is removed.
• Do not use if the blade assembly is damaged or bent. Take to a qualified person to straighten, replace, or
sharpen.
• Always keep both hands on the hedge trimmer handles to prevent your hand from touching the blade.

OPERATNG INSTRUCTION
ON/OFF SWITCHES (See Fig. 3)
The hedge trimmer has two switches controls and a lock-OFF bu

• Place one hand on the trigger handle . Place the other hand on the Auxiliary handle.
• Push the lock-OFF bu on and hold.
• Squeeze the trigger switch . The hedge trimmer will turn ON.
• Release the lock-OFF bu on. The hedge trimmer will stay on as long as the trigger handle the trigger switch are
squeezed ON.
• The hedge trimmer will stop if you release either the trigger handle.
