Power tool use and care
• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your applicaon. The correct power tool will do
the job beer and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and o. Any power tool that cannot be controlled
with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Keep all parts of the body away from the cuer blade. Do not remove cut material or hold material to be cut
when blades are moving. Make sure the switch is owhen clearing jammed material. A moment of inaenon

• Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the cuer blade stopped. When transporng or storing the hedge
trimmer always t the cung device cover. Proper handling of the hedge trimmer will reduce possible personal
injury from the cuer blades.
• Keep cable away from cung area. During operaon the cable may be hidden in shrubs and can be
accidentally cut by the blade.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or
these instrucons to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other
condion that may ect the power tools operaon. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cung tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cung tools with sharp cung edges are less likely to
bind and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instrucons, taking into account the
working condions and the work to be performed.. Use of the power tool for operaons dierent from those
intended could result in a hazardous situaon.

• Recharge only with the charger speced by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of baery
pack may create a risk of re when used with another baery pack.
• Use power tools only with specically designated baery packs. Use any other baery packs may create a risk
of injury and re.
• When baery pack is not in use, keep it away from the other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connecon from one terminal to another. Shorng the
baery terminals together may cause burns or a re.
• Under abusive condions, liquid may be ejected from the baery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the baery may
cause irritaon or burns.
Service
• Have your power tool serviced by a qued repair person using only idencal replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
HEDGE TRIMMER SAFETY WARNINGS

IMPORTANT!
Always disconnect the baery before any maintenance on the machine.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Store the machine out of reach of children. Never allow children or other persons not trained in the use of the
machine and/or the baery to use or service it. Local laws may regulate the age of the user.
Never use a machine that has been modied in any way from its original specicaon.
Wear personal protecve equipment. See instrucons under the heading ”Personal protecve equipment”.
The operator of the machine must ensure, while working, that no persons or animals come closer than 15
meters (50 .).
Never use the machine in bad weather, for instance in fog, in rain, strong winds, intense cold, etc. Extremely hot
weather may cause overheang of the machine.
Never use a machine that is faulty. Carry out the safety checks, maintenance and service instrucons described
in this manual. Some maintenance and service measures must be carried out by trained and qualied specialists.
See instrucons under the heading Maintenance. Do an overall inspecon of the machine before use, see
maintenance schedule.

GUARD
The guard helps to deflect chips or other debris away from the operator’s hands and eyes.
TRIGGER SWITCH
The switch trigger, located beneath the rear handle, and the lock-offbu on, located behind the auxiliary handle,
must be depressed simultaneously to allow blade rota on.

to a qualified person for repair.

ery pack is not charged when it is purchased. Before using the hedger for the first me,
place the ba ery pack in the ba ery charger and charge. Make sure to read all safety precau ons, and follow
the instruc ons in the Ba ery Charger sec on.
(See Fig. 2)
• Press the release bu on on the ba ery pack down and hold.
• Grasp the trigger handle firmly. Pull the ba ery pack out of the handle.
NOTE: The ba ery pack fits snugly into the handle to prevent accidental dislodging. It may require a strong pull
to remove.
To install the ba (See Fig. 2)
• Align the tongue of the ba ery pack with the cavity in the handle housing.
• Grasp the trigger handle firmly.
• Push the ba ery pack into the handle un
ons in order to avoid injury and to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire:
• Replace the ba ery pack or the charger immediately if the ba ery case or charger cord is damaged.
• Verify that the switch is in the OFF posi on before inser g or removing the ba ery pack.
• Verify that the ba ery pack is removed and the switch is in the OFF posi on before inspec ng, adjus ng, or
performing maintenance on any part of the hedger.
• Read, understand, and follow the instruc ons contained in the sec on en tled Charging Procedure.
UNPACKING
• This product requires no assembly.
• Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing
list are included.
• Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not discard the packing material un you have carefully inspected and sa

To avoid personal injury:
• Handle the blade with care.
• Do not place your fingers or hand between the notches in the blade or in any position where they could get
pinched or cut.
• Never service the blade or hedge trimmer unless the battery pack is removed.
• Do not use if the blade assembly is damaged or bent. Take to a qualified person to straighten, replace, or
sharpen.
• Always keep both hands on the hedge trimmer handles to prevent your hand from touching the blade.

OPERATNG INSTRUCTION
ON/OFF SWITCHES (See Fig. 3)
The hedge trimmer has two switches controls and a lock-OFF bu

• Place one hand on the trigger handle . Place the other hand on the Auxiliary handle.
• Push the lock-OFF bu on and hold.
• Squeeze the trigger switch . The hedge trimmer will turn ON.
• Release the lock-OFF bu on. The hedge trimmer will stay on as long as the trigger handle the trigger switch are
squeezed ON.
• The hedge trimmer will stop if you release either the trigger handle.
