If you want to run the system in stereo, you need to order a second XLR to RCA cable (P/N 300071-001) from
TouchTunes.
The following item can be ordered online from Amazon or various audio outlets (through the QSC website):
• QSC LOC Lock Out Cover for KS Series Speakers (screw-down tamper-proof cover for LCD Menu and input
gains)
Lock out cover for the subwoofer

System Power Sequencing Recommendations
System Power Sequencing Recommendations
This is a recommendation as to power sequencing to minimize loud pops out of the system. Proper power
sequencing at turn on and turn off can help prevent audible thumps, clicks, and other noises in the system.
Always follow the rule that loudspeakers are last on and first off.
Installing the QSC KS112 Subwoofer
1. Press the MNGR button on the I/O Board to open the Operator interface.
2. Determine which Zone output you will be connecting the subwoofer on.
NOTE TouchTunes does not recommend wall mounting or suspending the subwoofer.

3. Set that zone’s audio to Mono on the SOUND → Zone # OUT Operator screen (where # is the zone number
in which the subwoofer is to be installed). Zone 1 OUT is shown in the following figure and the MONO button
is highlighted.

4. Lower the zone volume on the same screen. Use the touchscreen or the wired remote to lower the volume.
5. On the same screen, make sure that BASS BOOST is set to “OFF”.
6. Power off the sound system if one is installed.
7. Connect one end of the Cat 5 cable to the jukebox for the zone determined for the subwoofer (the connection
is typically found on the I/O Board of the jukebox or on its computer for MJS and JCB installations).
8. Run your Cat 5 cable to the location determined for the subwoofer.
NOTE If you want to run the system in stereo, you must order a second XLR to RCA cable
(P/N 300071-001) from TouchTunes. If you have a second XLR to RCA cable, omit the
previous step (that is, do not set the speaker mode to “MONO”).
NOTE TouchTunes does not recommend wall mounting or suspending the subwoofer.

9. Connect the Cat 5 cable to the blue DI box.

10. Locate and unpack the Hosa XLR to RCA cable.

11. Connect the Hosa XLR to RCA cable to the DI box. If you purchased a second XLR to RCA cable in order to
run the system in stereo, connect it to the DI box as well.

12. Route the cable(s) through the back of the jukebox.
13. Connect the Hosa XLR to RCA cable to the subwoofer input (LINE IN A or B) (the inputs are summed so if
the jukebox is in mono, only one connection is required). If you purchased a second XLR to RCA cable in
order to run the system in stereo, connect it to the second LINE IN.
14. Make sure the gain dial on the subwoofer in set to the off position.

15. Connect the power cable provided with the subwoofer to its back panel.

16. Connect the other end of the power cable to an AC Mains.
17. Power the sound system back on if one was powered off in step 6.
18. Use the rocker switch on the back of the subwoofer to power it on. The blue LED light on the front of the
subwoofer should come on.
19. Play with the gain on the subwoofer and volume of its zone on the Sound → Zone # OUT Operator screen
until you reach an acceptable volume level. The gain dial is highlighted in green in the following figure.

20. If you purchased the lock out cover, install it now to prevent unwanted access to the LCD screen and input
gains.
You have now completed the installation of the subwoofer.
